Chapter 12 - Chapter 12: The Strongman Village

Jason's jaw dropped, he guessed that one day he would probably be able to summon creatures that could communicate, but he didn't know he could do it anymore.

"How come you can speak? Why haven't you spoken to me so far?"

"You really don't know anything, I've been watching you from the very beginning when you summoned me. You are a Summoner, and this is a very rare ability. I am the Raven Guardian, one of the beings you can summon. However, my name can also be translated as "Raven Guide". I have a basic knowledge of your skills, I can explain to you what they are. Unfortunately, until you strengthen me more, my knowledge will be limited"

"The more skill points I invest in being able to summon you, the more knowledge you will have?"

"Exactly, I'm a skill implemented into your system, a kind of guide. Unfortunately most of my skills are now locked and will be unlocked when I level up."

"So you know about my system? Where did it come from?"

"Unfortunately, I cannot reveal this information to you at this stage. You must be much stronger than you are now to know this information. According to the system, it could now lead to your death. What I can tell you is that you should continue on your path, gain experience and become as strong as possible as soon as possible. Your receipt of the system was not a coincidence and has a purpose, which must remain a secret for now."

"Do you know anything about my friend Lucas who came here with me?"

"All I know is that when you first called me, he was with us. When you lost consciousness, you didn't have the strength to sustain my summoning, so I also returned to your soul, I didn't see what happened to your friend. I know why he appeared in this world with you, but I can't tell you that either. However, I do not know why it disappeared.

However, I think that as you grow stronger, your paths will cross again."

"Sure..." – Jason nodded with faint hope in his voice. I must think," he added, then fell silent. The discovery that his raven could communicate telepathically and was part of his system was so unexpected to him that instead of many questions, his head went blank.

On the way to the village, the Raven clearly did not want to impose himself on the young summoner and remained quiet, the only thing disturbing the journey through the forest were Firlo's constant questions and boasting.

"You know, a year ago, when I was 5 years old, I hunted a smaller eren, it's no small feat, you know? They are very tough, I had to trap him, I dug such a big hole, I chased him into it and BAM!! He bumped into sharpened branches," Firlo said, as if such a hunt by a five-year-old was a normal thing. Despite the boy's undoubted strength, Jason doubted that even half of these things were true.

"Great, you must be very strong," praised little Jason

"Yes, but it's nothing compared to my dad, He's an Alpha warrior in the village, no one is as strong as him!" – this time Firlo began to praise his father.

"An alpha warrior? Who is he?"

"This is the person who leads our village, that's what everyone calls him, I don't really know what that means, except that he's strong! Very strong!" -Firlo's eyes watered and he seemed a feet taller when speaking about his dad.

"I have no doubt, how far we have left to your village, we have been walking for almost half a day?"

"A few more hours, before nightfall, we should be there."

Firlo's last words turned out to be true. After a few hours, the boys saw a wooden palisade, so large that one had to look up to see the top, it must have been a good 30 meters high, and it was only a little shorter than the trees around it.

The boys entered through the open gate unhindered, the sentries on the towwers only glanced at Firlo, one of them said:

"Firlo, you were supposed to be there yesterday! Father will not be pleased!"

"I know, I know, we'll go to him right away, Strig!" – Firlo said to the guard.

As Jason walked through the village, he couldn't get enough of his eyes. The houses were carved out of the fallen trunks of large trees. Each tree had a circumference of several meters, they were also very high, so the houses were relatively narrow but very long.

The people who lived in the village seemed very strong, and on several occasions, Jason saw people carrying loads that seemed impossible to lift – from a woman who carried a whole smaller eren to a man who had a huge load of wood on his back.

Slowly, the boys approached the largest house in the entire village. It made an amazing impression because it was carved in a tree that must have been 30 meters in diameter, its trunk was cut off in such a way that the house was about 50 meters long. The tree from which it was created must have been a real giant.

The boys entered the house.

"Dad, I'm back! Look who I found, a real magician!" – the boy shouted from the threshold.

From the room just opposite the entrance, came a man with such a muscular build that Jason had never seen in his life. The man was about two and a half meters tall, and the stature was equal to that of a bear grizzly, although it was in vain to look for even a gram of fat on his body. The man had thick, snow-white hair and a red scar running from his left temple downwards and disappearing somewhere under an unbuttoned white shirt.

He looked at Jason with a piercing look, he exuded strange energy, a person who was better not to mess with.

"Who do we have here? My name is Enzo, and now please tell me who you are and what brings you to us." – he said quite harshly.
