Harry and Alan were greeted by Sophie, the vice dean of Titans guild zone I4 branch.
"Good evening sir Harry. The Dean has been waiting for you in the testing ground. Please follow me" Sophie took them towards floor 7 where Alan's overall evaluation will be held.
Alan sized up Harry after seeing the vice dean so respectful towards him. Harry pinched Alan's ears when he saw him sizing him up.
They took the elevator and entered the assessment area. This area was specifically arranged after a few talents were registered to be tested from their zone.
There were 6 others undergoing tests right now. Alan looked over curiously.
The tests were quite simple. First they check the current tier, level, and attributes. Then his current battle IQ is tested under a stimulated VR battle which also assesses his class.
Lastly his elemental affinity will be tested.
The Dean Mr Uzoma welcomed Harry. He was a tall man with dark skin. He looked at Alan " This must be the kid you found…"
"Yes. He's a good talent. He reached the attribute limit for tier 0 before the class selection trial. He even passed the trial for mystic archer within a SS grade score."
"Excellent. You have a good eye for talent Mr Harry. As expected of the Morning Star of Titans" Uzoma replied.
"Morning star?..." Alan was about to ask his brother before he was dragged by the vice dean to do the tests.
He entered a cold room where his full body was scanned. The final result for this test is evaluated by taking the attribute to level ratio. One could only get full points if they ever have reached the attribute limit for tier 0 and obtain a special class while transitioning to tier 1.
Moreover they were surprised after learning Alan had fire element and space element comprehension already. It was a surprise as most focus on it after reaching tier 2 or the talented ones focus on it after they reach higher levels of tier 1.
Alan's case was rare but not unique. This only proved that he had a high fire element and space element affinity.
The results came out soon and obviously he got the full points. Each test had a total mark of 100 except for the elemental affinity test which was seperate. If one showed exceptional affinity for any element or force they can easily bag a high tier contract with the guild.
The affinity test only favoured the fated ones, as one cannot control that. But the rest of the test tested one's hard work so it was also very important.
The second test was held on a virtual battlefield. He will face opponents according to his level and test his abilities in different scenarios.
Alan got into the virtual cabin for the second test. After a few seconds his mind got immersed into the virtual reality world.
The virtual reality pod simulated 100% of his abilities into virtual reality.
The opponents set for this battlefield varied according to the contract one is registering for. For example Harry registered for Alan to be admitted under a tier A contract. So the opponents he faces will be tier A.
Alan fought non stop for 2 hours before the battle ended and was released from the VR.
As for the score, thanks to Alan's battle IQ and advanced maneuvering technique he scored 94 out of 100 which can be considered among the top.
The Dean praised Alan for his high scores. Of Course these were thanks to Alan's hard work.
The other attendees were mostly here for a B tier contract or below, so when they heard Alan being tested for the tier A contract and even got high scores they started to look at him with a sense of worship.
Someone who could contract and A tier contract were very rare. Only one or two emerged from each zone now and then. There are times when there is no one who could pass a contract of that level.
Alan had already bagged the A tier contract. The next Elemental affinity test is just the icing on the cake. If he had an insane affinity he might get a chance to upgrade his contract.
Alan was taken into a seperate room for the affinity test. There was already a queue of 2 people, so they waited.
After a while they took Alan into the room. Harry and Mr Uzoma followed him in, eager to see the test result themselves.
Alan put both his hands on the orb. Then a screen got projected above the orb. Harry and Dean got closer to see better.
The screen was showing scanning with a loading animation. They waited eagerly and they stood like that for more than half hour when Alan suddenly said with a discomfort.
"Is this thing broken? Why isn't it showing anything?"
Dean replied " This happens when you have more than one affinity with 7 stars or above or when it encounters an affinity to an element that was never encountered before. Any way either both of them are worthy celebrating over"
The elemental affinity is rated as 1 star for lowest affinity to 10 stars for the highest.
"If I have an undiscovered element affinity, what if it is of the lowest star?"
"Then it would have already finished scanning you already" replied Harry as he stood there not taking his gaze from the display.
Like that Alan stood there for another 40 minutes. Everyone started to suspect something was off. So as they were about to ask Alan to get off the scanning finally finished.
Harry and Dean pushed back Alan to look over the results. It left them completely dumbfounded.
Alan looked over Harry's shoulder to the screen the result shown in the order of his highest affinities to the lowest. It showed-

Alan was also dumbfounded when he saw his results. " What the…."
Any one of the affinity with 7 stars or above was enough to attract the higher ups of all the major guilds. Having a 4 elemental and a force affinity with above 7 stars is very unprecedented.
A 0 stars means no affinity whatsoever and a person with it has to spend more time attaining it's mastery and further evolving it into a law.
Having 1-2 stars means a person has minimal affinity, but it still cuts down the time by a lot for attaining mastery.
2-4 stars means median affinity, and consequently 5-6 stars means high affinity. Having 5-6 stars is enough to label one as a natural born genius.
As for 7 stars and above, that's an entirely different domain. 7 stars and above is said to be otherworldly genius and even a one star difference above 7 stars is a massive gap.
They don't have to spend days comprehending an element or force. The ones with 7 stars only need 1-2 hours to get started and increase the mastery. As for 10 star affinity just like Alan just gained space mastery after one teleportation, comprehending any element and force is like drinking water. They just have to glance or observe it to gain enlightenment.
"What is meant by this '????'" Alan asked, pointing at the screen.
"It means it is the first time it has found this affinity. If the same unknown affinity has been found before then it would be labelled as '???'" Harry replied.
"So how do I know about it?" Alan looked over his updated personal interface where his affinity is just listed.
"If it is something complex then you will have to go to the state capital and use the crystal monument there. But it will charge 10,000 gold origin coins if I remember correctly." Dean said as he recorded the data.
"Only the top 4th tier players have that amount of coins." Alan exclaimed
Most of the transactions are done in copper coins and high tiered items are traded in silver coins. As for the gold coins they are dropped in mid-high level 4th tier dungeons and above.
And the crystal monument has strict rules. If it says gold then it can only be traded in gold and not copper or silver.
As the gold origin coins have high purchasing power most of the people consider to hold on to it rather than exchange it for low tiered coins only to take it out during emergency or when buying something in auctions.
'Looks like I have to save up big time to know what it is…'
