Alan waited patiently in front of the dungeon. There were 2 teams besides him watching him with curious gaze.
They were supposed to be next in line but suddenly seeing someone jump the line they got curious to see which big shot was trying to raid the dungeon.
But seeing a newly promoted tier 1 newbie trying to tackle a peak level 6 dungeon they were speechless.
But considering the fact that he cut in line before them means he was recruited with a special contract. So they were curious about his identity but remained silent not to provoke him.
They were a team of lifestyle players trying to level up. All the elite fighters that have joined along with them have moved up a tier or are on the second floor about to reach level 20.
So the lifestyle occupational teams like them do not do anything to irritate the fighter professions.
Although they get exp from their class related tasks like potion making and equipment forging it is not as efficient as clearing a dungeon. So they geared up thanks to the wealth brought in by their class to clear the dungeon and level up.
They basically over gear their way through the dungeon.
Alan felt their gazes on him.
"I apologise for your inconvenience" Alan apologised after realising they were the teams that were supposed to go next.
"No problem, it's not trouble for us at all…" they didn't want to provoke a future powerhouse. After all those who were specially recruited before the youth ranking test were all monsters.
Soon a team inside came out. Alan looked at the dungeon clear record before walking in.
"Wait, weren't you guys supposed to go in after us? Who was the one that entered just now?" Asked one of the team members that came out. He was familiar with the other team.
"I think he is a special recruit with a high tiered contract because he could cut the line before us. As for his identity…" He turned towards the receptionist who was accompanying Alan.
"Hehe… you guys are on the mark. Do you want to know who he is…?" Asked the receptionist.
The others nodded and got closer to hear.
...
Inside the dungeon.
Alan took a deep breath as he got inside the dungeon.
It has a special smell that refreshes the mind. It was said in the dungeon guide that all the dungeons which house wood spirits or wood element creatures have a special atmosphere. Now after experiencing it Alan couldn't agree more about it.
Alan recalled the dungeon info he read before he got in. The dungeon is rectangular with a starting point at one end where he stood and the final boss at the other end.
The levels and monster density increases as we move towards the boss.
As for the background, it is hilly as it is in a valley.
With his fire element mastery it wouldn't be hard to clear this dungeon.
Wood spirit foxes and the treants are cunning. They hide within the forest and like to sneak attack. They had good camouflage ability.
The solution to this is applying mana on the eyes such that it becomes sensitive to mana flow especially around the living beings. It was of course taught by Harry.
Alan got in stance and got ready to start.
The dungeon clear record was 20 minutes 33 seconds. He decided to give it a shot to set a new one.
He gripped his bow in one hand and rushed in. He had to finish this fast to set a record.
Soon he saw a treant hiding amongst the trees, posing as if it was a small tree itself.
Alan smirked and with a bang he shot a mana arrow made from fire element mana.
The arrow condensed from fire element mana was too powerful than the arrow imbued with fire element mana. Unless the arrow is of higher grade.
With Alan's skill he was able to locate its core within it with his mana eyes. The treant was taken down in one shot.
He had applied a little bit of his understanding of the space element into the tip of the arrow as a test. And the result? A completely lethal armour piercing arrow that ignored the hard shell of the treant.
It phased through the armour to strike the vulnerable body inside.
As for how effective it is against the magic shield he will have to find that out after finding the fox as it is good at wood element shield to defend.
The treant burst out in flame and was down in no time.
It dropped a vitality crystal which is used to make hp potions or you could just eat it to restore your hp although it won't be as effective. Aside from it there were some origin coins.
Alan didn't waste any time and picked the loot and rushed towards the boss. He encountered wood spirit foxes too on the way. But he shot them down even before they could detect him thanks to his eye technique.
It dropped a wood spirit necklace that boosted his physique by 2 points. He equipped them and went on his way.
As for the exp both the treant and the fox were level 2 so they gave him 80 points each thanks to the cross level kill bonus.
Alan killed his way towards the boss thanks to his fire element mastery he took down his foes without much effort.
With his space element manipulation he could now even shoot someone hiding behind a cover by phasing the arrows through it to the target.
He cleared his foes without that much effort and his elemental mastery also shot up thanks to his frequent use and manipulation.
By the time he reached the boss he was at level 3. This was one of the advantages of going solo. The exp that will be divided up with your teammates when you team up is all taken by one person. Thus the geniuses going solo gains levels faster than others…..
