"Tony," I called, my finger leaning against the trigger. It was the last thing I wanted to do but I knew I had no choice if I wanted to protect Damon from him.
Tony was unpredictable, I had no idea what he was going to do but I wanted to be prepared.
He tilted his head. "Damon said he'd die for you," he paused and stared into my soul. "Would you do the same?"
He'd asked Damon the same question the other night and even though he'd indirectly asked me too, I had been reluctant to answer the question because I knew it would Damon in danger if he knew of my feelings for him. But there was no use hiding it any longer. The cat was out of the bag, he knew I'd fallen for Damon and that I'd betrayed him. I had to kill him to protect everyone I loved.
"I would, in a heartbeat," I said.
"Ah," he paused. "Now, that's a shame."
