I peered out the window anxiously. Tara walked over with a cup of coffee, I closed the curtain quickly and sighed.
She handed me a cup and I shot her a grateful look.
"Thanks."
She nodded and sat on the sofa.
We'd moved into her safe house in the countryside. No one knew about the property so it should be safe for a while. I had not told her about the bounty because I didn't want her to be worried. I dropped the cup and sighed. I bit my lip gently and ran my hand through my hair.
I'd have found a way to survive somehow if it was just me Tony was hunting, but it wasn't just me. Tara and Damon's lives were in danger. Tony calling in other mercenaries only proved that I was more of a threat to him than I'd thought.
"I should've killed him," I said.
"What?" Tara asked, staring at me.
"Oh, nothing," I grabbed the cup and took a seat.
Tara leaned forward and stared at me. "What do you plan to do with him?"
She pointed towards the room Damon was sleeping in.
