Chapter 37 - Felix's Troubled Past Situation.

Felix prepared Emily for the journey, yet Emily was acting weird; she was acting up, pulling Felix away from the wagon, tugging at her reins, flapping her wings, scratching the ground with her talons, and squawking loudly. Felix fought with her every inch, grunting and concerned, he stated, "Emily, what is wrong? Come on, we have a job!"

The elves looked at each other while the wizard elf crossed his arms. The warrior-looking one walked over and mumbled to the wizard, "That beast is going to be a problem. What should we do?" The wizard elf shook his head slightly, trying not to give their scheming away. "Nothing for now. If it continues, we get rid of it." The warrior elf nods slightly as he mumbles, "Alright."

Felix fought with Emily, trying to put her reins and her on the wagon, so she could haul it to their next destination. Despite Emily fighting with Felix, Felix got her attached to the wagon, and that is when the three elves got in the wagon. Felix got in the wagon, snapped the reins, and let out a yell. Emily looked back at the elves and gave out a glare, but then looked at Felix, turned her head, and let out a beautiful squawk and started to pull on the wagon slowly, then she picked up the pace, causing a cloud of dust to form behind her and the wagon.

As Emily pulled the wagon, Felix started a conversation with the Wizard elf, "So, what were you guys fighting that got you to bury your friends?" The Wizard elf at first didn't acknowledge Felix, but he replied with, "huh? Oh, right, it was a plant demon, which it's spores poisoned our friends." Felix looked over to the wizard elf and thought it was weird that there was no emotion as he mentioned the elves' friends. So, he continued to look back at the road, but with a concerned expression as he heard the scraps of metal from the back, as the elves in the back of his wagon were sharpening their blades.

As they got to their destination, Felix set up camp, and the elves helped out, still playing the act that they were there to help Felix, yet Felix started to feel something in his gut, to not trust them anymore. This was when Felix grabbed a veil and tied it around Emily's neck. Felix looked around to see that the coast was clear and wrote the letter, then he put it in the veil and told Emily to go back to Bumbleweed, where they dropped off Jaymir.

This is when Emily acted like she was out of control, and Felix tried to calm her down, but she ran off, acting like something spooked her. As Emily did this, that is when the elves showed who they were. The wizard elf laughed in mockery, "Man, that is pretty messed up? The only thing that would save you, betrayed you." That is when the Wizard elf used magic to control a rope and tie Felix up. Felix's eyes widened in shock, and he asked, "Hey, what are you doing?" The warrior elf smacked him in the face as he demanded, "Quiet! Monsters like you shouldn't speak!" The rogue was going through his stuff as he said in a sinister tone, "Nor do monsters need any of this stuff," as he set his wagon on fire.

Felix tried to run over to the wagon to stop the rogue, but the wizard made the ropes weigh heavier, causing him to fall to his knees. Felix's eyes widen in shock and fear as he watches his wagon burn up in flames with all his possessions and books inside. After the wagon burned out, destroying everything, the warrior elf grabbed the ropes that were tied around Felix, and the warrior dragged Felix into the cave, where they beat him up and attacked him, leaving cuts on him.

They then tied him up to the pillar where the crater was being filled by drips of water and left him to suffer alone. However, before they left, they laughed and mocked him, "Just give in, you're useless and no one is coming to save you, Abomination!"

As Felix finished his story of what happened, he started to cry uncontrollably, letting out a whine, asking Jaymir, "Jaymir, am I really that useless!" Jaymir and O'garth's expressions turned sour and into rage as they both snapped, "No! you're not useless!" O'garth added, "Don't ever let someone bring you down!" as Jaymir added, "Plus, it doesn't matter if you were, you deserve to live like everyone else!" Felix continued to cry as he sniffled and added, "Really? I am so thankful!"
