While in the middle of harvesting berries for the jam later, Evan couldn't help but think about the encounter he had just experienced this morning. Four adult males looking for abandoned houses and apparently, a coin object that looks both shiny and blue.
Evan tried to think really hard if he had ever seen anything like what he has described. He doesn't really remember if there was anything, however.
Besides, if he does find it, then he would probably find out what it is first before handing it over. He's curious about what that is.
He's not just going to hand it over immediately, that would mean unanswered questions for his curiosity!
But looking for the coin itself and the abandoned house seemed to be a connected thing rather than a separate thing. The leader guy that he had talked to earlier asked for the coin instead. In comparison of when they arrived, the leader was looking for an abandoned house.
'Suspicious, don't you think?' Iva interrupts his thoughts, its voice as echo-y as usual in Evan's mind.
"It is suspicious. It's making me even more curious as to what the coin is and what they were planning on going here for." Evan replied as he took the final berry to put in his now full basket.
He began walking back to the house so he can get started on making the berries' jam.
'Based off of from your knowledge, I don't see any other information for Tigris. Are you really this sheltered?' Iva asked, sighing a little.
Evan furrowed his eyebrows. "This is the first time you're telling me that you can look at what I know. What is that supposed to mean?"
At Iva's silence, Evan sighs. "Your silence just makes me think that this means I need to learn more huh?" He says it more to himself.
Time passed by pretty quickly when he is either deep in thought or having a conversation with Iva. He had already finished the first batch of the jam and he is already making his second.
The fastest way Evan knows he could learn is by reading books. The second one is probably learning by doing, which is what he had been working on with the sword training.
Going to school might make things a lot more faster. That is if he could get in.
After the making the jam that he is going to deliver to the market, Evan went to his room to get the books he borrowed from the library three days ago. He could return the books once he finished with the jam delivery to his mom.
He can stay in the library to search more books, maybe look for other types that he can read instead on only game-based books he had been reading. There's not a lot of those left he haven't read yet, after all. He might as well finish two trips in one.
Basket in one arm filled with the jam containers, he made his way towards the market. He walks to the stall his mother is behind of, putting the basket in front of her.
"I have the jam." He says.
Sylvia smiles at the sight of her son. "Hello dear." She greets, putting the containers down from the basket and on top of the little display table she has. "How many is this?"
"18." Evan shrugged. "I picked a lot of berries today and so I made extra batches. Tomorrow might be the last batch I can make."
Sylvia nods her head. "Okay. Thank you, dear. Be careful on your way back."
After the short talk, Evan is on his way back to the town's center. He enters the library, puts down the books he borrowed and then went to the side where the cart of books he is planning to read were.
Evan re-read all the titles and started comparing what they're summaries and information that they had.
Maybe it is because he had already read so many titles before, but he is not at the current mood to read similar premises for books.
He went to the counter, seeing that it is still the same grandma. "Mrs. Grey? I don't think I will borrow the rest of these books." Evan tells her.
Mrs. Grey hums and leans down to look at him. "Ah, hello little child. Yes, I'll have someone return those books where they're supposed to be. Thank you."
"Thank you very much, Mrs. Grey. I'm going to borrow a computer and some other books I'll find. Have a good day." Evan waves and began walking away.
He made his way towards the numerous shelves on the same floor, wondering if he can find anything that catches his interest.
He found a book about some person talking about the abyss, which is interesting. He grabbed that book. After that, he went through each shelf. Then, through the other sections of books.
On the shelf below, he picked up a book that was very sparkly. His eyebrows furrowed a little at the sight, so he picked it up.
"Learning how to snap for magic tricks." Evan read it with a frown. It didn't need to be sparkling, but it was.
He sighs. He is just about to place it back when he saw a different book behind it.
There is usually nothing behind the books at all, so this is weird. There's no title in the front of at the spine. It is just in plain green book. A little dusty, yes, but unnamed and it has nothing on it.
When he opened the book, a panel appears in front of him.
