Emmiel
As soon as we got back home, I rushed to the bathroom to puke. I was disgusted by the fact that I'd gone into heat after killing a person.
"Are you alright, Emmiel?" A feminine voice inquires behind me.
Turning around, I find Marie staring at me with a worried expression all over her face and a tray of food in her hand.
I didn't realize the house maids were back in the mansion.
Rinsing my mouth, I flashed at Marie my best smile. "I'm fine, don't worry. I just ate something that didn't agree with my stomach. That's all"
"Should I get you some drugs? Does the alpha know—"
The last thing I needed was for Lopen to find out that I'd thrown up and call me weak. "Marie, keep this between you and I. I'm really alright, though"
Marie nods, settling down the the tray of food. "I brought you something to eat"
"Thank you, Marie"
"Please, do let me know the instant you need anything"
Waa she worried about me or was she just acting concerned for fear of Lopen?
Whatever it was, I didn't intend to turn down her feeling of concern because it made me feel human rather than an object.
"Thank you, Marie" I assured her. "I will"
With that said, Marie exits my room. I let out a sigh of relief as soon as she was gone.
Glancing over to where the food was placed, I contemplated whether to eat it or not because for one, I didn't have appetite and two, I was certain Lopen would get to know if I wasted food and that would upset him.
"Just one bite" I muttered, picking up a spoon to eat. The instant the food touched my tongue, I rushed to the bathroom to throw up.
The food wasn't what made me throw up. I guess I couldn't still bring myself to stomach anything after what had happened in Gawin's mansion.
Crashing on the bed, I stared up at the ceiling. "Is this how my life is going to be after I marry Lopen? Honestly, getting labeled a broken good is better than this"
I shake my head as if to get rid of that thought. "I don't want to go back to the omega facilty. Everyone would make fun of me. Besides whats the point of going back there when I have no one there?"
"At least out here, I'll have my title of Lopen's wife" I continued. "I want to break out of this bond so bad"
For a split second, I actually considered reaching out to Alpha Asai for help. It was a very split second.
At a point, I'd drifted off to sleep and when I woke up, I felt extremely tired and weak. My whole body was burning up.
"I couldn't possibly be in heat again, right?" I muttered. No. This burning sensation was different. I wasn't falling ill and I wasn't in heat either.
I didn't want to draw unnecessary attention to myself from Marie by stating I was going to the hospital so I informed Marie that I was going to the pharmacy store down the street to get an anti-emetic.
"Should I go instead?" Marie asks. "I don't know if it's safe for you to go on your own. Both Beta Davin and Alpha Lopen aren't around to follow you"
"It's just down the street" I assured her. "Nothing would happen. I'll be back before you know it"
Plus, I wasn't actually planning on getting anti-emetics. The truth was that these symptoms I was getting were similar to pregnancy symptoms which was ridiculous because I'm a recessive omega.
But I needed to make sure that my speculations were not true.
"Marie" I called out, snapping her from her thoughts. "I won't do anything to get you in trouble so trust me when I say I'll be back before you know it, okay?"
Marie nods. "Okay"
"Thank you"
Strolling out of the mansion, I moved towards the pharmacy store down town.
"How may I help you?" The female receptionist asks.
"Sorry, this might seem like a stupid question but is it possible for a recessive omega to get pregnant?"
She thinks deeply. "It hasn't been heard off but there's nothing worth getting overlooked these days you know"
I nod. "Can I please get a pregnancy test?"
"Sure. Give me a minute"
The lady moves away to get what I'd asked for, wrapped it up in a small, white bag and handed it over to me.
After paying her, I exited the store and went back home.
"Marie, I'm back" I called out but she was nowhere to be seen. "Maybe she's outside doing laundry"
I moved out to check if she was there but she wasn't. Walking back into the mansion, I thought to check Lopen's office and there she was. Fast asleep on his chair.
I chuckled. "She must be really tired"
Gently closing the door shut, I moved up to my room.
With shaky hands, I unwrapped the pregnancy test nylon, moved into the bathroom, took the test and then waited with my eyes shut tightly.
Slowly opening my eyes, I checked the result as my jaw dropped; Two lines.
"T-This couldn't be" I rasped. "I'm pregnant?"
How in the world was this possible? Why?Something wasn't right.
"Pregnancy test acts up sometimes" I say, trying to convince myself. "Maybe that's it. I just need to retake it again after a while"
But even my body showed the signs that's why I dared take the test. I truly am pregnant.
Stepping out of the bathroom, I threw the test result into a trash can, picked up a small bag where I threw some of my clothes into and ran without looking back as the truth washed over me.
These results weren't wrong. My identity was. I wasn't a recessive omega. I was a dominant omega. My entire existence all along has been lies.
I ran out of the Lopen's mansion for fear of what Alpha Lopen would do to me when he finds out about this lie.
I'd rather die in the hands of an unknown enemy out there than in the hands of Lopen.
