Emmiel
"Thank you for helping me, Alpha Asai" I say as soon as we get to the safe house in Victoria.
I didn't know where to run to as soon as I'd left tbe Lopen's mansion and my life was already at risk since I'd been labelled as Lopen's wife.
So I turned to the one person I didn't trust but was a better option than roaming the streets alone; Alpha Asai.
He'd agreed to help me without hesitation. He wasn't curious as to why I'd escaped either. I didn't know whether to be glad or be aware of him but as I'd said earlier—I didn't really have a choice—
"Honestly, I'm glad I could finally be of help to you, Emmiel" Asai says with a wide smile across his face. "You're safe here and you can stay for as long as you want"
"I don't intend to stay here for long" I correct. "You have sources around. Can't you help me with passing over the airport boarder?"
Asai furrowed his brow, confused. "Are you asking me to help fly you out of the country?"
I nod. "Yes"
"That's.." Asai voice trails off. "No matter where you run to, Emmiel, Lopen will find you"
A shiver ran down my spin at the truth in those words. "I know that but, I just want to be far way from here as possible" Far away from Lopen.
"If that's what you want, I'll look into it for you and see what I can do"
"Thank you, Asai"
"This house is quite unused but there's still some food items in the fridge so don't hesitate to help yourself out with it" Asai informs me. "I'll be leaving now. You are safe here but just incase, I'll station the gamma guards around the front yard"
"Thank you, Alpha Asai"
With that said, he walked out the door and left. All alone, I sunk down to the couch; rubbing my hands against my belly. "It's just you and I now kiddo"
Lopen must have noticed that I wasn't in the Lopen's residence anymore. Could he be looking for me or did he decide to replace me with another already?
"I'm tired" I yawned, laying down across the couch. "I'll just close my eyes for a short while"
As soon as I hit my back against the couch, I drifted off to sleep. It was the first time I'd had a short nap since I'd escaped from Lopen's mansion.
Moreover, I was able to sleep well because Asai had informed me that there were guards outside the house.
It was the first time I'd had such a peaceful sleep with nothing to worry about.
"You look peaceful" A familiar voice says. "To think you actually smile in your sleep"
Jolting my eyes wide open, I froze to see Lopen's face right above mine. Sitting up right, the right words failed me. "Al.."
"Shut up" He roughly commands. "If you dare speak a word, I. Will. Kill. You."
He meant it. How did he find me so fast? Of course, his sources weren't limited. He was an alpha afterall but, what about the guards stationed outside the house?
Gazing outside I see the guards bodies lying helplessy on the floor. They weren't dead, were they?
Lopen laughs hysterically. "What were you thinking, Emmiel? Running to Asai of all people"
Grabbing my cheeks roughly in-between his palm, Lopen snarled. "You should have known better"
"I'm.."
Lopen cut me off with a hard smack against my cheeks. "I told you to shut up, didn't I?"
Tears burned behind the back of my eyes but I dared not cry. Knowing fully well that would aggravate Lopen's anger.
"Now tell me, my sleazy omega" Lopen snarled, shoving my pregnancy test infront of my face. "What the fuck is this supposed to mean?"
He knew. Is this really were it ends for me.
"Speak up. Now!"
"I don't know" I admit unable to hold back my tears much longer.
"What do you mean by you don't know when you clearly deceived me?"
"I didn't. I swear on my life, I didn't know I could get pregnant"
"You swear on your life?"
"I do"
"If your life is that meaningless then swear it to me" Lopen grabs the back of my hair, forcefully. "Swear it!"
"I swear my life to you"
"Very good" He lets go off my hair, scanning around the house. "Now, where is that no-good brother of mine?"
"No-good brother of yours?" A familiar voice inquires, making me realize that Alpha Asai had just walked into the room. "Is it my fault your lover wanted to leave you?"
Turning to face me, Asai says. "I looked into it, Emmiel, and my sources can help you out—that is, only if you still want to leave the country—"
I froze. I hadn't expected Asai to say that right infront of Lopen. Lopen glared at me. "You were planning on leaving the country?!"
It was then Asai saw a mistake in his action as he throws his hands over his mouth. "Oops"
Roughly pulling me away, Lopen snarls. "Let's take this home"
As we brushed pass Asai, Asai stops Lopen. "I get that you are taking your wife and shit but you came into my home, killed my guards I placed on duty to keep your wife safe. Shouldn't you pay for the damages caused?"
"You expected this much damage when you decided to help Emmiel out so I don't owe you shit"
"Are you saying I can settle the scores then?"
Asai's gaze didn't look friendly but Lopen didn't care. "Do it if you dare"
In the blink of an eye, Asai throws a punch across Lopen's face; throwing me off-guard.
"You fucker!" Lopen snarled but surprisingly, he didn't take any action to retaliate.
Asai chuckled. "You didn't think I was going to break into your mansion and kill off your guards now or something, did you?"
"I heard Davin was back" Asai continues. "I'll definitely drop in to say Hi"
