Chapter 8 - Chapter 8 - Okay, okay, okay, I'm not human!

Fielder was dumbfounded, what a guy!

"Grrr!" Fielder was very upset.

The butler, Cao, shrunk his neck, when he was about to say something, he wanted to say this, the Bull Baron and his son, are not good people.

"Wait..! You're the Baron of the Nightfall Collar, great, finally someone to act as a buffer for my fortress, hopefully you'll live for two more days! But don't bother me when you're being chased by carrion, I'm not going to open the door for you."

The man on the wall, hearing the advisor's reminder, remembered Feld, but alas, all he could think of was for Feld to be used as a strategic buffer for the fortress at Click Mountain.

The steward, unable to strain himself, came up and said quietly, "Baron Bull's only son, Richard Bull, is known as the Cowardly One, so let's not interact with him."

"That's right, there's no need to break bread with stupid people." Feld bruised and slowly backed away, "One and all play like that do they, and I'm not going to be polite about it."

"You can open the gate to the Nightfall Collar yourselves! It's safe there." Richard finished and retreated back into the castle, "Now get out of my sight! Stinking field."

The advisor at the side wiped his cold sweat and said to Richard, "Young master, isn't deceiving them like this..."

"Shut up!"

After withdrawing a certain distance, Field told the crowd to wait a little.

"I now know why the rotting corpses appeared here." The corners of Feld's mouth twitched as he righted the longsword at his waist, "It's fortunate that the orcs are also blocked by the gray fog, plus the peace treaty binds them, or else the Empire's proudest line of defense would be a joke."

"Then honorable lord... We won't bother haha." The villagers gathered around and awkwardly shoved each other, they didn't want to get into trouble, Baron Feld looked angry, but in the end, he didn't dare to run straight away and pushed out a man to say goodbye, "We'll be going now, thank you for your help."

Feld is angry, although he was born in the modern society, but it does not mean that he can be taken by anyone, his eyes are lowered, like a vicious wolf that wants to eat people, cold voice whispered, "Did I allow you to leave? Your lord abandoned you, and now you're masterless, so you've been taken in by me."

Just in time to replenish the labor force for free.

"Huh? No no no, my lord, please spare us, we are free people." The villagers were ten thousand times more reluctant, listening to what Richard just said, Field was traveling to the Nightfall Collar, it was a cursed place filled with death, if you went there, you would surely die.

"Sparing you guys is fine, five gold coins as a ransom fee, I saved you guys, this is what I deserve." Fielder nonchalantly drew his longsword, "Either you go with me to the Nightfall Collar or pay up, or else you'll be chopped into pieces and fed to the dogs by me, you hear me!"

"Whew~ It seems he is indeed a noble right."

Ashina on the side was relieved on the contrary, these days Feld's gentle and kind-heartedness made her very uncomfortable, there was always an illusion that she was living in a dream, now that she saw Feld playing the sinister rogue of a nobleman, she was instantly comfortable.

Like Ashena, this group of villagers, one by one, were tickled to the point of euphoria, and after being threatened, they were instead honest, kneeling down and flocking to go to the Nightfall Collar. Going was still death anyway, not going was still death, so they might as well take their chances.

"Bastard bones."

Fielder retrieved his longsword and helplessly covered his face, sighing in his heart: fists are always more persuasive than mouths.

"My lord, don't give up!" Seeing that Fielder was unhappy, Ashena carefully came up to comfort him.

Fields glanced at her and froze straight away, it wasn't until Ashina was shown a scared look that Fields reacted and hurriedly laughed, "I'm fine, I was just lost in thought."

Continuing on, Feld was startled by the large skull symbol on the mini-map as he approached the fortress gates.

"Is this where Richard says that the gates are secure?"

This damn fool, taking money and not doing anything, and trying to shade me with a rotting corpse. If I naturally rush into the fortress gates, it's highly likely that I'll be caught off guard by the carrion hiding inside.

Fielder was not happy, but he quickly thought of something, and his fingers kept rubbing his chin, "Since the Bull Baron's stupid son is sticking to the inner city and abandoning the outer strongholds, does that mean that I can make a hard profit? No one will see it anyway."

He thought of it and went to do it, Feld was no Madonna White Lotus.

What propriety, righteousness and shame, there was no need to give these cheap bastards a good face! Should be ruthless to rob their money, food and women.

Fielder shook his cloak, ''Kael, do you remember those who dared to take weapons and fight back against the rotting corpses? Gather them all here, and take the strong ones if you don't have enough thirty."

Though Cao was timid, he was still able to do his job. Soon, thirty slaves of different races were gathered.

"Until then, some guy who should be eating horse manure is in the way." Feld glanced at the distant, hard-faced Connor.

"Valiant Knight Connor, although this is not my fiefdom, as a noble with martial virtue, I'm going to help the farmers here and kill the carrion, would you like to join me?" Feld found a bullshit reason.

Sick! Connor was dumbfounded, he himself had died one of his men in order to kill the rotting corpses.

He was still annoyed about the pension, this time he couldn't believe his ears when he heard that the stupid baron, actually wanted to help others quell the wave of corruption.

"No, I've delivered you to the border of the Nightshade Territory, it's just a door away now, I'm going back to the Count to resume my duties." Connor resolutely refused, and as he said that, he couldn't hold back his laughter, and directly laughed out loud, "I'm sorry, but I think it's better to bring this rabble to attack the carrion, rather than bringing a pig along, at least it will keep the carrion fed."

Feld was filled with regret, "Well, I thought you could come and share the glory."

"You must not forget the laws of the empire and the family dogma, arrive on time."

Connor left a word of warning before leading the cavalry on a wild goose chase, Feld didn't even have time to remind him that the horse manure hadn't been eaten yet.

"Are we really going to mess with the carrion?" Khal inquired the steward, trembling.

Feld didn't expect the steward to go kill the enemy, and waved his hand, "Just stay here and watch over the slaves, don't let them run away, and those who want to escape will directly use the slave contract to burn him to ashes."

The words were so loud that the slaves were scared to hear them.

Kao, however, was as if he had been pardoned.

Forcing the slaves to equip themselves with scythes and dung forks and lumbering axes, Feld took Ashina with him and left.

After walking for ten minutes, Field circled into an uninhabited forest, and after carefully confirming that no one was around through the mini-map carried by the Lord's ability, he took out a beautiful crystal ball from the package on the right side of the warhorse.

Ashina's panel, which had changed, he had just walked away to make sure he wasn't blinking.
