Chapter 10 - Chapter 10: Survivor, Let Me Communicate With You With Blood and Iron

The loud clang of the wooden door being kicked open reverberated extremely far through the gray fog, immediately breaking the dead silence of the walls, and the rotting corpses around them let out eerie wails. Seeing the rapidly converging skull symbols on the mini-map, as well as the roaring in his ears if anything, Fields still involuntarily pinched his sweat.

Before the carrion in the house could attack, Ashena held a long knife and swung it at its neck, blood arrows soared against the wall, and the entire house brought out a black and purple blood light.

The other carrion immediately pounced on it, its entire cheek ripped apart, grinning all the way to the root of its ear, if this thing bites it, it will definitely lose a large chunk of meat.

However, Ashina only flicked through it while flipping her long blade.

Under the addition of the terrifying power, half of the carrion's head disappeared, gurgling dirty blood gushed out from the gaping hole, and in a short while, a pool of blood was gathered.

"Roar!"

Hearing the movement of the fight, a bunch of corrupted soldiers suddenly surged out of the passageway, rolling their disgusting white eyes and crowding to kill from the passageway.

The slaves were holding farming tools and constantly waving them in their hands to make shadows, but no one dared to go forward.

The monsters alone were scary enough, and they were also wearing heavy armor.

"Fuck it, just how many people are infected." Feld cursed.

"Flame!"

Ashena released the dragon breed wolf, its huge body blocking almost the entire passageway.

Stars and dots of magical energy quickly converged, like a river of stars rushing in, the Dragon Seed Wolf opened its mouth and gushed out a large mass of ghostly blue flames, the rotting corpses in the passageway were immediately engulfed by the flames, and only a few struggling and twisted outlines could be seen.

"What a terrifying power."

The slaves were originally entangled in escaping or fighting, but they didn't expect the sudden outbreak of fighting to end in the blink of an eye, a few only saw the engulfed figures, the rest could only look at the ashes on the ground and stare dryly.

"Is this the power of the Chosen of God? It's a shame to burn the trophies away as well." Fielder swelled up, it was time to be a little bolder, "Everyone do your best to make a commotion and attract the nearby carrion to destroy them."

Hearing Feld give the word, the slaves cooperated by banging around, allowing Ashena and her dragonblood wolves to destroy the gathered corpses.

Soon, Feld had strangled the monsters near the barracks, which gave Feld further knowledge of the Chosen.

"Now, look for something of value." Feld charted his way to a greedy smile, "Especially armaments and gold coins."

Just after the slaves were dispersed, a slave ran over in excitement and shouted excitedly.

"My lord, we found survivors!"

"Huh?" Fielder, however, had no hint of joy, but looked around with complicated eyes.

"Ashena, take back your wolf, now is not the time to expose your strength."

Without developing enough time, revealing that he possessed a Chosen of God was nothing more than looking for death.

His stepmother would definitely send someone to assassinate herself and then have Ashina change her master.

Exposing himself to the slaves wasn't a big deal; they'd been right under his nose all along, and he could send them all to their deaths with just a thought.

Feld mused, "The survivors might know where the vital supplies are."

The survivors were hiding in a dark fortress in the city walls, barely able to withstand the gray mist for a while because the door had been splashed with a purification potion, and only dared to open the door when they heard the sound of a living person speaking.

"Thank the Valkyries, I thought I'd be staying for a week, by which time we'd have to eat each other's feces to survive." The bearded officer joked in disgust, straightening his attire before flashing a smile at Feld, "Uh, let me guess, you're a newly minted knight? I'll be sure to report your feats to the Bull Baron."

"You're welcome, it's just a favor."

Feld cocked his head to see what was in the dark fortress, but was blocked by two soldiers.

All ten soldiers under the bearded officer were inside the dark fort.

"Where are your escorts?" The officer swept his eyes at Fielder's slave soldiers, these guys with farm implements, he didn't even put them in his eyes.

Feld shrugged, "I'm not a knight, I'm Baron Feld."

"Oh? Baron Feld, that's the guy who doesn't even have a single guard, when you sent people to make donations in the past, they mentioned your name." The bearded man's expression became more and more strange, after his face changed several times, he made a wink towards his men and said with a smile, "Baron Lord, I've long heard that you have a good heart, I wonder if you can do us a favor."

This tone is not right ah.

The original owner was indeed kind, and Feld raised an eyebrow, playing dumb, "Tell me about it."

"We were drinking heavily and forgot to light the fog repelling lamps, allowing the gray fog to pour into the barracks, thus losing control of the barracks, which is no small trouble. The Bull Baron is brutal as hell, and we're definitely going to be executed."

Is this something I can fucking hear for free?

"So ...." Fielder revealed a playful expression, "You guys are going to defect to me?"

"Hahaha!" The soldiers laughed and gripped the weapons in their hands, "We're going to run away! But it will take all the savings of a noble, plus, by killing you, no one will know of our existence for a short time."

"Is this how you treat your benefactors?"

Feld was furious, although his original intention was to collect the survivors and find supplies. If he didn't cooperate, he wouldn't mind chopping up the survivors, but it was still annoying to be actively provoked by them.

The bearded man was full of concern: "If it wasn't for the fact that we don't have fog repelling lights, we would have killed out long ago, you're nothing!"

Fielder snorted a laugh.

"What are you laughing at?" The bearded man raised his saber and was puzzled when he saw Fields' calm face.

"In fact, I had wanted to search this place, now it's just right, there will be no more witnesses if I kill all of you. Ashina, do it!"

The soldier next to the bearded man immediately stormed out, clutching the short blade in his hand and stabbing straight over.

In a flash of lightning, a ghostly blue figure flashed and swept past, and the soldier's arm was like a grasshopper's leg being pulled and yanked, being ripped away without resistance.

"Dang!"

The air seemed to freeze until the short blade landed on the ground, and the soldier fell to the ground in shock, covering his broken arm that was gushing blood like a fountain and letting out a miserable wail.

"My arm! My arm!"

The ghostly blue giant wolf stuffed the entire passageway, its armor-covered body as intimidating as a tank.

"Monster!" The soldiers pissed themselves at the sudden monster.

"What the hell? Wasn't it said that Baron Feld was rootless and a complete waste?" The bearded officer was dumbfounded, he wanted to arrest the rumor spreader and skin him now.

"Ashina, turn them all into cripples." Feld licked the corner of his mouth, the original owner was a great man, but what did it have to do with him, "Slaves, here's a chance for you to practice your courage! Reward one silver coin for each kill."
