Chapter 12 - Chapter 12: The battle is over and Enri's level is LV21!

Ding! Ding! Ding!

The Archangel of Majesty, its power multiplied thanks to Kael's buffs, continued to charge and destroy the Sunlight Scripture members' summoned creatures one by one. Although its movements were occasionally hindered by Nigun's Archangel of Majesty, its efficiency in clearing the enemy ranks remained astonishing.

On the other hand, the combined attacks of the Flame Archangels and the Sunlight Scripture magic casters were utterly unable to penetrate the sturdy protective barrier formed by [Goddess' Embrace]. Even Nigun's Archangel of Majesty looked increasingly wounded and pressured.

Annoying! We can only try our best! Nigun gritted his teeth in frustration. He then commanded his tattered Archangel of Majesty, "Archangel! Unleash the Supreme Holy Strike!"

According to the historical records of the new world over the past 600 years, the highest level of magic ever used by the strongest magic caster among humans was only the sixth tier.

[Extreme Holy Strike] was a seventh-tier spell, a realm of power beyond the reach of ordinary humans. In other words, it was the domain of the gods!

Although I don't know what kind of magic the magic caster on the opposite side is using, if it's [Extreme Holy Strike], it should definitely be able to break that barrier! Nigun thought with burning hope.

If the time comes and his summon is killed, the enemy's Archangel of Majesty will also disappear, and we still have a chance to turn the tide!

That's right! Nigun's eyes turned bloodshot, not only from the overwhelming emotional pressure but also from an unnatural excitement. He looked like a desperate gambler, betting everything on one last roll of the dice.

While he stared hopefully at the sky, Nigun's Archangel of Majesty stepped back, trying to break free from the enemy's interference. The royal scepter in its hand suddenly shattered into pieces, and the fragments slowly spun around it, emitting a final glow before disappearing.

Extreme Holy Strike!

The magic was activated. A dazzling beam of white light fell from the sky like an unstoppable deluge, slamming into the energy barrier protecting Kael and Enri with incredible force.

The divine miracle of the gods has defeated powerful demons in the past, so there's no way it will fail now! Nigun's expression became increasingly fervent, his belief growing with the intensity of the light striking the shield.

One second passed, then two seconds... until ten seconds of the devastating light attack ended. Nigun's expression slowly stiffened, and his throat moved up and down with difficulty as he tried to swallow the bitter disappointment.

After being struck by the [Extreme Holy Strike] at full power, the energy barrier didn't even show the slightest ripple! Its surface remained calm and unaffected, as if it had just been hit by a raindrop.

In order to break through the seemingly impenetrable defense of the opponent, he had even allowed his Archangel of Majesty to activate its only enhanced ability to add to the attack effect of [Extreme Holy Strike], but in the end, this was the result... a complete failure.

Is that possible? .... Is this person using defensive magic that surpasses level seven? ! ! This terrifying possibility flashed through Nigun's mind. Although it was hard to believe, it was the only logical explanation he could think of at the moment.

In an instant, his body couldn't help but tremble violently.

So, the man across from me... No! It's a being far more magnificent...

"God... God!?" The words filled with astonishment and disbelief escaped Nigun's lips unconsciously, and his mind went blank instantly, overwhelmed by infinite fear and awe.

Seeing that his Archangel of Majesty's ultimate attack had no effect whatsoever on the enemy's barrier, the Sunlight Scripture members around Nigun were also thrown into a panic. They asked him in anxious and hurried tones, "Ni... Captain Nigun, what should we do now?"

The questions from his subordinates woke Nigun from his shock. His eyes fixed on Kael, who stood calmly within the unyielding energy barrier, and his brain began to work rapidly, trying to find a way out of this dire situation.

Since that adult is so powerful, it would be very easy for him to kill me and the others, but he didn't. Why?

Suddenly, Nigun's eyes widened, as if a revelation had dawned on him. "That holy light... I understand!" he exclaimed in a tone filled with newfound conviction.

That adult looks completely like a human. He must be a benevolent god like the six great gods, not a demon god who enjoys destruction and oppression! If that's the case, we still have a chance to survive!

With this hopeful thought, Nigun, with a hint of excitement mixed with fear, quickly activated second-tier magic, [Declaration], and amplified his voice to be heard by everyone on the battlefield, "We are weaklings who have lost our way and inadvertently challenged the realm of the Gods. We are willing to surrender unconditionally. Can we stop this senseless battle?"

"What!?"

"Captain Nigun?"

Nigun's voice echoed throughout the area enclosed by the energy barrier, and when the Sunlight Scripture members heard their captain's declaration of surrender, they all showed expressions of deep disbelief and confusion.

Not only them, but Kael was also slightly surprised when he heard this sudden request. What's up, little brother? You still had a few tricks up your sleeve, why did you surrender so quickly? he thought with a hint of amusement.

After thinking for a moment, Kael activated teleportation magic and appeared in front of Nigun and his surprised subordinates in the blink of an eye.

Nigun and his subordinates flinched in shock. Several Sunlight Scripture members unconsciously adopted defensive stances, but Nigun, who reacted the fastest, immediately scolded them in a stern tone, "What are you doing! Don't be rude to this honorable lord!"

Tch, no wonder he was the one in the original story who surrendered to the Flying Squirrels and begged for mercy so easily, he really is a coward, Kael thought with a hint of disgust. You bring shame to the Church!

Kael glanced at Nigun with a condescending look, then casually unleashed fourth-tier magic with an extended range, [Double Gravity], causing everyone from the Sunlight Scripture to fall to the ground with a loud thud.

"I am the ruler of power and eternity, the god who controls destiny!" Kael said in a cold yet resonant voice, looking down at those lying on the ground. "Since you have chosen to surrender, my first command is that all of you must continue to fight my follower until the very end. You are not allowed to stop summoning angels until all the magic power within you is exhausted. Do you understand?"

Kael's cold yet clear voice pierced into the hearts of every Sunlight Scripture member. Captain Nigun, who had just declared surrender, raised his head with difficulty, looking at Kael with eyes full of fear and despair, and replied in a choked voice, "I... wait... understand!"

Kael snorted softly, canceling the effect of the [Double Gravity] magic and giving everyone a chance to catch their ragged breaths.

"Now that you know my will, then carry it out. Don't think about being lazy or trying to deceive me. God can see the remaining magic power still stored within your bodies," Kael said in a threatening tone.

"No... I wouldn't dare, my Lord. We will try our best to continue fighting your followers," Nigun replied, getting up from the ground with his body drenched in cold sweat. He still tried to maintain a semblance of respect, but he didn't realize that Kael's favor towards him had dropped below freezing point.

Kael was too lazy to look at Nigun any longer and activated [Greater Teleportation] to return to Enri's side, who was still standing within the protective barrier.

What happened next felt rather boring to Kael. After Enri controlled her Archangel of Majesty to easily eliminate all the remaining Flame Archangels, she then commanded her holy creature to unleash [Extreme Holy Strike] towards the enemy's Archangel of Majesty, ending the battle with a decisive victory on their side.

Kael noticed that Enri's face was a little flushed and her eyes looked slightly dazed, as if she were drunk. According to her own account, it seemed that too much new information and power had flooded her brain, and she couldn't digest it all at once.

Kael cast additional [Awaken] magic on her, which slightly alleviated her condition. At least the girl wouldn't have to worry about falling while walking.

"Her magic power increase is about 20 times, which means the little girl has leveled up about 20 times. Has she reached LV21 now?" Kael thought to himself, feeling a little surprised yet satisfied.

Not bad, he thought. Enri managed to kill all the Flame Archangels summoned by the 44 Sunlight Scripture members with their magic power, the Watcher Angel summoned by the leader Nigun, and even an Archangel of Light whose level was close to 50. Even with the experience amplification item effect, being able to level up so many times in one battle was far beyond his expectations.

After seeing the Sunlight Scripture people panting for breath due to exhaustion of their magic power and unable to summon anymore, Kael contacted his summons and asked the Resurrection Angels guarding the village to come to the battlefield.

The reason why the Resurrection Energy Angels were called "Resurrection" was because they possessed the ability to unleash high-tier healing magic to restore injuries and eliminate fatigue, as well as the special ability to unleash fifth-tier magic, [Animate Dead], once.

He specifically summoned this group of resurrection angels so that if he accidentally killed the Muggles from the Sunlight Scripture in the upcoming battle, he could immediately revive them without having to use his own precious resurrection items. After all, all the Sunlight Scripture members were above level 15, and should be able to fully withstand the consumption of resurrection magic levels.

Now that this group of people had collectively surrendered under Nigun's leadership, and it had been confirmed that his followers could also gain experience points by killing enemy summoned creatures, there was no need to waste their levels by killing them directly.

If I make good use of them later, I can even treat them as a dungeon copy and refresh it repeatedly to gain more experience for Enri, Kael thought with a hint of cunning.

"I wonder if I can act as a big boss so that my followers can gain more experience? Hmm~ I'll try that idea when I have the chance later." Kael murmured softly, contemplating the potential to increase his followers' strength in the most efficient way.
