Chapter 31 - OPRS: Chapter 31

He suddenly woke up. In this world, no one could correct his mistakes. He was the source of all ideas. He had to constantly be vigilant, remind himself, and discover his own mistakes.

He decisively abandoned his original approach and began to leverage his advantages—the Kuja Pirates and the Shichibukai.

He had mentioned this before: the pirate world was a world where strength was paramount. He needed high-level combat power.

And the deterrent effect of high-level combat power was enough to silence these ordinary pirates, make ordinary people blindly obey, and make ordinary revolutionaries blindly follow.

He had originally thought that this approach of suppressing with force was incorrect, that it was impossible to gain their heartfelt approval.

But now, he had awakened.

Revolution wasn't about what you said, but what you did. Whether they accepted you, whether they accepted you after seeing what you did. Trying to assimilate others with ideology alone would only make you a giant in thought but a dwarf in action.

Japan's advocated integration of knowledge and action was precisely to address this situation, preparing the next stage of knowledge.

And the modern information flow had briefly led him astray, but he quickly corrected his problem.

Getting along with them was important, but it was a means, not the end. If he confused the difference between the two, he would never achieve his goal.

They had three to five days left before leaving the Calm Belt. Winning them over during this time was Alistair's goal. Making them accept Alistair's ideas and beliefs was the ultimate outcome.

And how to do that depended on Alistair's methods.

That night, Alistair returned to the Perfume Serpent with Marguerite to rest, but he was already very serious.

"Sigh..." Unfortunately, as soon as he returned to the Empress's quarters, that seriousness dissipated. Alistair eagerly took off his clothes, looking at the various bruises on his body, only sighing.

"Marguerite has already told me about it." The Empress, holding the medicine, walked to Alistair's side with her bare feet, as white as jade, stepping on the carpet in the bedroom. She used her delicate hands to apply the medicine to Alistair's back. Alistair's body trembled, his back straightening.

"Should I go teach them a lesson?" she asked worriedly.

She knew Alistair wanted to train his fighting ability, but the Amazonian warriors were too high-level. It was like the Straw Hat Pirates facing Bartholomew Kuma without any ability to resist. Alistair fighting the Amazonian warriors was just being abused without any growth.

But being beaten up like this was a bit too much. The Empress frowned as she applied the medicine.

"No need." Alistair chuckled wryly. "It was my fault. I misjudged the situation. Tomorrow, I'll treat them differently."

"I've already given them a warning today. Tomorrow, I hope two or three Amazonian warriors can come and help me." Alistair didn't say what his plan was, but Hancock believed in him wholeheartedly.

Everything he did was in preparation for overthrowing the Celestial Dragons' rule. If those pirates, who should have been killed by the Kuja Pirates, became Alistair's troops, their strength would grow.

Although Hancock looked down on the Devils Luck Pirates, Alistair's actions were undoubtedly correct, and good.

Although his methods had some problems, it wasn't a big deal. As long as he continued like this, their troops would eventually grow.

"Sorry, let's call it a night. I'm going to sleep." After Hancock bandaged him, Alistair stretched and apologized.

"Goodnight." Hancock's face flushed slightly. She shyly watched Alistair walk into his room, suddenly feeling regretful: She hadn't seized the opportunity to sleep with Alistair again today!

The next morning.

Marguerite, Ran, and Sandersonia followed Alistair to the Devils Luck Pirates' ship. There were others who wanted to come, but that would be too many. Alistair didn't let them come. Marguerite was supposed to be on duty today, but she had managed to grab today's shift yesterday after a better understanding of the situation, making many people resentful.

Not to mention Marguerite, even Hancock was curious about what Alistair would do.

'Devils Luck' William looked at Sandersonia nervously. Sandersonia was only half a head shorter than him. They were both small giants among humans. He liked her very much, but the difference in strength between them was too great, making him dare not have any improper thoughts.

Alistair didn't care about that. He called all the pirates to the deck.

"Today, I've brought bread, rum, salted meat, and the fish you caught yesterday. It's all your food. But this time, if you don't complete the goals I set, you won't eat today." Alistair stood on the railing and chuckled at the crowd of people.

"Why?! Those fish are what we caught ourselves!" someone shouted discontentedly from the crowd.

If it had been yesterday, Alistair would have compromised. He would have said, "You can eat the fish, but you can't drink my rum."

—That would have been too stingy.

Today's Alistair was completely different from yesterday. Since he had given up on integrating with the masses, he would let these pirates know what the iron fist of authoritarianism was.

He laughed. "You're our prisoners. Your food is ours. Your ship is ours. The fish you catch are ours."

"When I'm standing here, you must unconditionally obey my orders."

"From now on, only the people I point to can speak. Do you understand?!"
