A giant ship with engravings of different women could be observed with no problem whatsoever. It clearly showed quite a bit about Shimada, a true lover of women.
Even the front of the ship has some sort of statue of a woman across it. Maybe a goddess of sorts. "Wow, quite the unique ship you got here." Amelia says with a bit of a disgusted look on her face.
So we ended up getting on a ship with a pervert after everything we've dealt with so far. I can only imagine that the journey gets better after this, surely.
"Prince Shimada you've returned. We are ready to depart." A sailor says while awaiting his response.
Shimada smiles as he gestures for them to follow him. "Make sure my friends here are set for the journey. The lands of Heartfeld await us." Shimada responds with a cheerful attitude.
Lovely. Everyone boarded the ship and they were quickly showed the rooms by one of the sailors. They were all fairly put together and didn't really look like rooms that would be aboard a ship.
Refined cloth was used for the beds, carpets on the floors, and even the wardrobes were nice in the rooms. Amelia wasn't used to being in a room on her own since she had been staying in Artemis's room lately.
They also shared a room back at the Golden Apple Inn so this was definitely going to be a bit of an experience.
I can't say I'm disappointed by this, it's just kind of shocking to be on a boat in all honesty. I didn't really travel much on the sea during my previous life so this would be a new experience for me.
I've always been hesitant of the ocean though, sharks were scary to me back then. This world could hold way scarier things than sharks so I don't know what to expect out on the water.
I helped fight off monsters back at the estate with my dad and some of the other slaves that were there. What awaits us in the ocean could be a lot more intense than anything else out there.
The door creeks open. "I didn't think I was a bad person for doing this. I promise I'm only helping you out." Shimada says as he enters the room.
Quickly turning around to face him, Artemis has a serious expression on his face. "What do you have to gain by helping us?" Artemis questions.
"There's something special about you. I can't quite place my finger on what it is, a smell maybe? You seem like someone interesting, someone who can handle this." Shimada answers with a bit of uncertainty in his voice.
Even he doesn't believe what he's saying entirely, what is he even going on about? "Maybe a more convincing answer." Artemis replies.
"I'm serious about you being special. But I can't figure out what it is just yet. Either way, I'd like to help with this group. The Goddess of death can't be revived." Shimada says with more of a serious tone.
His more playful demeanor has shifted to a more serious one as he looks directly at Artemis. He wasn't joking around right now, the goddess couldn't be revived and he made sure to make that clear.
"I want to prevent that and the deaths of anymore royal families." Artemis responds while taking a seat on the bed.
"Then we have a good understanding here. Sleep well." Shimada says before leaving the room.
Coming into the room and saying all of that definitely left a weird feeling with me. I don't know what to trust with this guy just yet but I know he isn't messing with me.
He genuinely seems like he wants to help. It's odd how he also said the same thing as Amelia though. The whole thing about me being special is definitely something I can't shake.
The woman I met before in that weird dream, the goddess. I can only wonder what her goals really are as well, she kind of has me thinking too.
She granted what I wanted with my magic and power so it put me in a weird spot. There didn't appear to be any votes for me to get what I have so did she give it to me without it?
I remember her mentioning that she was a high ranking goddess so maybe that plays into it but what would be the point of having a board or council if someone with status can do it anyway?
That's something I can't help but think about. I'll figure everything out over time though, for now I need to get some rest.
He lays back on the bed and gets comfy for the ride as he slowly begins to drift off. Everything around him began to change once again, seeing the beautiful scenery of flowers and colorful trees.
Once again I'm within this dreamscape, finding myself before the woman once again. This goddess as she claimed to be the last time we saw each other.
"I thought I wasn't supposed to see you all that much. At least that's what you've told me." Yori speaks with a bit of confusion.
The woman smiles and lets out a small chuckle before appearing before him. "Maybe I enjoy seeing you. You are very interesting after all. I do pay attention to what's going on with you in this world." The Goddess says with a bit of joy in her voice.
"It's definitely interesting to know you're watching over me. Watching for my first death I take it?" Yori questions.
"Maybe. I can't lie, it's a bit exciting to watch since you have to deal with the side effects. I'm curious to see what you do." She responds before laughing once more.
She's definitely a bit more excited this time around and I might even say more talkative.
"I do plan to avoid death. I'll utilize it when needed but I have to figure it out." Yori says with a bit of a confused look on his face.
I have to do everything smart. Dying for no reason isn't the way to go about things anyway.
