Rein's POV:
I went straight to bed without bothering to take a shower. I fell asleep almost instantly—I was fucking tired.
I was so deeply engrossed in my sleep that I could barely register where the sound of my name was coming from.
"Mm," I hummed, forcing my eyes open. A head was right in front of my face. Maybe I was hallucinating.
"Rein," a soft voice called again.
I blinked properly this time—no, it was not a dream. There really was a head right in front of mine.
"Ahhhhh!"
I screamed, and with that, whatever sleep had been lingering vanished completely.
"Why are you shouting?"
Now that I could hear her voice clearly, I calmed down. It was Syria.
"I told you to stop appearing so suddenly." I could not help the irritation in my tone. The way she came and disappeared as she pleased was seriously annoying.
"Okay, okay, I have heard." She raised her hands in surrender. "I have good news."
"What?" I asked, now curious why she had popped up again.
