Chapter 32 - The Mother's Ruling.

They stepped forward quite swiftly, the door closing behind them as Tris walked in first. – Keeping her behind him in an almost protective manner. His eyes were flying around his field of view.

Okay. Seems he was being messed with. – As Althea was chilling at a tea table. – Cup in hand with Rose at one end and Fen at the other. Yet only she was holding a cup. Peculiar!

Althea's hand waved over the table, and suddenly, white strings formed two cups filled with tea. – Exactly the same way Tris went about creating things. – Did she have the same power? But she wasn't exactly the one holding it or an heir…

Her head moved, noticing the two, simply offering a small nod. – Seemingly calling them closer, but also yawning at the same time. – No struggle at all. It bothered him heavily the ease with which she did it.

The fox and angel approached, Tris seemingly quite defensive regarding the skill he had just witnessed. – Althea noticed, offering a small smile at the unknowing child. This made him wonder.

How old was she, even? Thousands? Millions? More? – He probably shouldn't call his mother old… That was insanely rude! – But he truly wasn't known to be the nicest fox, if anything, the slyest.

"How-?"

Tris spoke in a small, swift one-worded question. – Not wishing to place too much effort on it. All we wished to obtain was a simple, plain answer! – Or was that too hard? Perhaps.

"Oh, right, you're still a child… – I have some of the power from your father, as I have his mark. You're gonna get one when you're older…"

As she spoke, a small, leaf-like mark appeared on her cheek, glowing white for a few moments before disappearing once more. – The information was finally fixed in Tris's mind.

The information she spoke that is, he did not have any pure idea of what this mark she spoke of was. – Never did he hear of it; the books remained silent on it.

"I… Don't know what such is."

He answered, dropping any kind of formality, just seeking information and the answer. A mother would be more likely to help if the child seemed helpless in the end! He was a good actor.

"Ah-. The mark of a god stands as such. – People pray to it, pledge to it, and so on. – You gain one along when you obtain the so-called 'true' form… In theory, at least. People are currently praying to your father's, reason you don't get as much strength as you truly could from it! – A very, VERY small fragment. – It can be placed on a partner as some sort of bond, providing a fragment of your power. – Scaling with the power of their own."

Althea spoke, taking a deep breath after speaking for that long, her eyes falling onto Tris.

"So, simply just that… Welp! More simple than I thought.."

He spoke, blinking twice as his ears gave a flicker. – The information has just been added to his brain dictionary. – Tris would remember this for the future thats for sure!

"Yeah, yeah, now take a seat! I have some verryyyy good news for you lovely little ones!

The queen spoke, seemingly in a cute tone. – Was she that friendly? No, suddenly, the chair under her dissipated, and she was left floating. And the one under Fen as well! Dropping him onto the ground.

She let out a sharp cackle, two chairs appearing for Tris and Nora, and another one next to Fen. – Clearly, she enjoyed bullying that man. – He heard stories of them being a team before, so perhaps she was the 'Mina' of the group.

Fen let out a groan, clearly annoyed as he got back up, dusting himself off. – Before reaching for and pulling the chair, placing it properly. – Finally sitting back down with a sharp exhale.

Tris chuckled along with Althea, finding it amusing aswell, before moving himself and dragging his chair lightly, plopping down and leaning back, clearly calm.

Nora was more shy, so to speak. – Taking her time before moving and dragging the chair, she finally took a seat. With grace! And making a good image for herself.

Angels and their image, or well, creatures and their image… He personally would not care at all, he would even mention arson. – Or some stupid thing, he wouldn't personally care.

"Sooo, what was it you needed us for? Just speak already. I wanted to catch in on some rune writing!"

Tris spoke, wishing to get this done rather fast. – He was out of free time, and that was heavily bothering him. He did not even really care why he was called. – It was probably some bullshit reason they could deal with.

That was simply his thought process; the less free time, the less freedom he had. – So it always was precious to him – Freedom was always fun! At least to himself, not to others, that's for sure. Free Tris? Chaos.

"You're free from school for the rest of the week. – We're going to the other plane to teach you some things and hang around. – Nora, you too, I spoke with your mother. – You're gonna join us in our little journey! You don't get a choice, either of you."

Althea spoke calmly, a smile curled onto her lips. – She truly just did not give them a choice, leaving them quite stunned! – Of course, that was her plan from the start in the end.

Tris blinked a few times, giving a long sigh. – He has been there, but he did not wish to go there with people… – He did not need his antics to be known. And he had MANY back there…

Nora was just stunned, it would be her first visit to that realm.. After all, she was born here and has grown up here. Not really aware of whatever that world contained or was about!

Fen just blinked, he was not aware of this either! – But it snot like he could comment on it, Althea would hit him and smash him through a wall without asking any additional questions regarding his opinion, she just did not care.

Rose did not seem that surprised, seemingly Althea told her beforehand, at least from what Tris could deduce. – Or she had a rough idea that this would happen, one out of the two, most likely the first.

"What, – When- Why. I don't wanna go there with you out of all people! I have a reputation to upkeep, not some angelic mother to defend me!"

Tris instantly shot back, clearly trying to argue his way out of this predicament. – But he did not think he would manage to win. – At most, he could preserve his reputation in the small city. – As the Bard who fought the Shards!

"As I said, you don't have a choice. Why? I said so. – So don't waste your energy trying to create drama, I don't give up easily or well, at all! – So don't bother, simply. Well, go on our little trip for a bit, a week, or two. Or a month or two even. – You have lots to learn or get used to… From what I've been told, you have quite the reputation as a bard in a nearby city of the gate."

Althea spoke sternly, cleary making the decision. Mostly not even setting to make a point. – It was a decision she took, acting as if she did not need to make a point to make it. Just decree it.

"Fine, I'm leaving for now, not dealing with anything else. I need to get some things ready."

Tris was blunt, getting up and moving towards the door as if it were nothing. Bothered by his mother's decision. – Who was she to force him to do something? Lacked the freedom he so liked to have.

"Alright, Queen Althea…I'll make sure to pack up."

Nora spoke, keeping her composure, unlike Tris, who was clearly mad at the decision. – She got up by herself, moving to join Tris in his departure. Both of them had things they needed to get done. But at least school was not an issue for a bit. – Or well, for a longer bit most likely.

"Mhm, tomorrow at ten in the morning, remember."

The queen added with some swiftness, giving a small nod as they left, perhaps acknowledging the fact that they were upset for the future. – Though highly unlikely. She truly did not care that much.

Tris turned, his eyes shooting some daggers at Althea. – But her eyes stood sternly, just giving a small sigh. – Her lips not bothering to move and say something. – She knew this had its issues, but it also had some benefits. And some free family time. To an extent.

The angelic lady following Tris just had a small sigh of her own; she did not really know how that world was. – Hoping it just wasn't bad enough to cause her issues. – It won't, right? She had some faith in the Queen…

He grabbed Nora's arm, just dragging her along as he pressed onto the handle once more, walking outside and slamming the door behind him! – With the force of two tails.
