Sakamiya University - Main Building

Lobby and Hallways

12:32 PM

A wave of awe rolled across the lobby as the mysterious young woman suddenly ignited streams of fire beneath her boots—only to shape them into blazing swords.

A young woman beside him clapped her hands together, eyes shining, "She has shields in her hands and swords on her feet…! That's the coolest thing I've ever seen!"

As the monster's two bladed tentacles and two acid-spewing jaws came at her from all directions, the air itself seemed to explode with violent movements.

She twisted, spun, kicked, blocked—the flaming blades slashing through the air while her flame shields collided with brutal force against the monstrous spears. Her actions left everyone speechless for a few seconds.

Then the exclamations began:

"She's fighting four tentacles at once! How is she even still alive?!"

"That's insane! She's dodging acid, blocking spears, and attacking at the same time!"

"She's like a flaming Valkyrie!"

Aya Shina from Tokyo TV, her hands trembling slightly as she spoke into her mic, announced breathlessly:

"The female warrior is engaging the creature in what can only be described as aerial blade combat—four limbs versus four limbs, it's insane! And she's holding them all ON HER OWN!"

Haruto Perspective

While Kanna and Morthamraga continued their midair clash—blades against spears—Haruto quickly pulled up his status screen.

I can't recklessly charge in again like I did before. That tail nearly crushed me… I need a different approach, something safer.. Haruto thought, his eyes scanning quickly through his interface.

"Let's see... maybe there's something in my skill list that could help." he murmured to himself, pulling up the Madoukai list.

Then his gaze stopped.

"Oh... maybe this one." he muttered, focusing on a skill he hadn't used before—one that had been sitting idle since he got it a few minutes ago.

"Alright then... let's give it a try."

Haruto took a breath, tightened his grip on his scythe, and called out:

"Madoukai..!"

"JUDGEMENT IMPULSE..!!" [Mystic Energy: 50%]

A deep, eerie hum filled the air as his scythe began to glow—its blade emitting a radiant surge of violet aura that flowed outward in waves.

"100 TIMES..!" he shouted again.

Moments later, the blade itself began to transform...

Its aura expanded, overflowing until it engulfed the entire weapon—flowing from the edge of the blade down to the shaft. Then, with a sharp hiss, the scythe's blade shrank to half its normal size. A haunting, mechanical vibration buzzed with every movement he made, amplifying the ominous presence of the weapon.

Now it resembled more of a compact battle scythe, sleeker, leaner—but no less deadly.

Alright... let's test this.. Haruto thought.

He picked up a stone roughly the size of a clenched fist from the ground with his left hand. Shifting into a ready stance, he stepped his left foot forward, his right foot behind—adopting a stance like a professional badminton player preparing a serve. But instead of serving, he tossed the rock high into the air.

Time seemed to slow at that time...

Gripping the scythe in his right hand, Haruto leapt upward—and with the full force of his body, swung the rear of the weapon like a baseball bat. The shortened blade was now behind him, while the blunt top of the handle struck the stone in a devastating badminton-style smash.

From three different angles, the explosive impact scene repeated:

TWWAACCKKK..!! (angle 1)

DWWAAACCKKK..!! (angle 2)

TWWAAAACCKKK..!! (angle 3)

In an instant, the stone's weight multiplied by one hundred.

A tremendous shockwave burst out as it was launched—air shuddering, the ground trembling. The super-heavy stone now carried the destructive momentum of a high-speed railgun blast.

WHHUUSSSSHHHH..!!

The surrounding debris—dust, pebbles, and air—was blown aside, as if bowing to the force tearing through them. With a booming roar, the stone was carving a path like a red carpet for a devastating projectile that defied natural law.

It spun violently, tearing through the sky like a high-velocity drill. Headed straight for the rear left side of Morthamraga's massive body…

BLEDDUUAAAGGG..!!

(1 hit) [2578 damage]

The collision was monstrous. The stone struck with earth-shattering force, embedding deep into the beast's flesh. Sickly green blood burst from the impact site as the massive creature howled in pain, its body recoiling violently.

But Haruto wasn't done.

Just a second later—another weighted stone followed, smashing again…

BLEEDDEEAAAAGG..!!

(1 hit) [2223 damage]

Wriggling in agony, Morthamraga let out a guttural snarl and swung its enormous tail toward Haruto in a vicious counterattack.

Haruto reacted instantly—he repositioned his scythe to the right, gripped the shaft tightly with both hands, and raised the blade to meet the incoming strike.

KRRSSSHHH..!!

(1 hit) [1068 damage]

The moment the tail slammed into the blade, the effect of 100x weight activated. Morthamraga's own massive tail was instantly amplified in weight, pulling its balance downward.

The sheer increase in mass sent the tail crashing downward uncontrollably, dragging a large portion of Morthamraga's rear body along with it.

Haruto quickly yanked the scythe free and dodged left, just before…

DDEEAAARRRR..!!

The tail slammed into the ground with colossal force. The earth shattered upon impact, creating a crater shaped like a wide, dry trench—matching the monstrous width of Morthamraga's tail.

Now, half of the beast's massive rear body was pinned—completely immobilized under the crushing effect of Judgement Impulse.

Lobby and Hallways

Everyone fell silent for a moment as the mysterious young man leapt into the air—then slammed the rock forward in a badminton-style smash using the back of his scythe.

The shockwave force of the strike shook the very air. The rock, now seemingly transformed by some invisible weight, screamed through the air like a meteor—slamming into the Chaos Beast's flank with an earth-shattering impact.

Screams erupted across the lobby. One student stumbled and nearly fell over from the sheer force of the moment.

A soldier in the back grinned with disbelief. "He just hit a rock like it was a shuttlecock—and it turned into a freakin' railgun bullet! This guy's brain is operating on God-tier strategy."

"That was a badminton swing with a scythe!!" another onlooker shouted. "Who the hell even thinks to do that?!"

When the monster reeled back in agony and its massive tail came swinging with a force that could level buildings, the crowd screamed—then fell into complete disbelief when the young man caught it.

"NO WAY!" screamed a student.

"HE CAUGHT IT! HE FREAKIN' STOPPED THAT TAIL!!" yelled a guard, nearly dropping his walkie-talkie.

A middle-aged reporter stumbled backward. "What… what was THAT?! The tail just… collapsed under its own weight?!"

Everyone stared at the young man, their awe reaching levels that bordered on reverence.

Across Tokyo and Surrounding Areas

At Shibuya Crossing, thousands of eyes were glued to the massive LED screen towering above the city. The moment Haruto lifted the stone, an eerie silence fell across the crowd—like the breathless calm before a storm.

"Wait… is he really going to throw a rock at that thing?!"

An office worker gripped his briefcase tightly, disbelief etched across his face.

"A stone? Against that monster?! What is he even thinking?!"

Then, it happened. The instant his scythe struck the stone—launching it like a projectile—and the rock slammed into Morthamraga's body, the entire crowd erupted.

"HHHHAAHH..!!"

A collective gasp exploded across Tokyo like a shockwave.

"HE JUST SMASHED A GIANT MONSTER WITH A ROCK!!" several people screamed at once.

Older men in business suits stood frozen, jaws unhinged,

"That's… that's like David and Goliath! BUT THIS—this is David with a GRAVITY CANNON!"

"WHO EVEN THINKS OF THAT?!" someone shouted. "He's using a scythe like a goddamn baseball bat?!"

At an office building nearby, several employees on their lunch break watched from a conference room TV. Laughter and awe mixed freely.

"It's like a trick shot from a fighting game."

"No, bro. That was straight out of Shaolin Soccer. You remember the fireball kick? Same damn energy."

"This guy's a lunatic genius. He made the monster fall on its own tail!"

Inside a hospital ward, doctors and nurses gathered around the break room screen.

"Who is that guy?! Did he just cripple a kaiju… WITH A DEFENSIVE COUNTER?!" a doctor asked, shaking his head in disbelief.

A nurse gasped, one hand covering her mouth.

"He used the back of a scythe to hit a rock. Why?!"

A young intern mumbled, "Because no one's ever done that before. That's why."

At Tokyo Tower, the moment the shockwave of the explosion echoed through the broadcast speakers, people's gasp filled the entire tower.

An old war veteran in uniform slowly lifted a salute toward the screen.

"He's got the mind of a trickster… and the soul of a warrior. Who the hell swings a scythe like that...?"

A tourist standing beside him laughed in disbelief.

"You know what this reminds me of? That old kung fu movie… Shaolin Soccer! That slow-motion kick that made the ball spiral and flying like a missile!"

"EXACTLY!" another woman exclaimed. "Except this guy used a rock instead of a ball… and a back of his scythe instead of his foot!"

Millions were in awe all across Tokyo. They began praising the crazy ingenuity of the scythe-wielding hero. Others were left speechless by the sheer grace and ferocity of the flame-wielding heroine in the sky.

Social media lit up, hashtags trended, livestreams exploded with clips and reactions. Conversations ranged from disbelief to admiration.

Haruto's Perspective

With Morthamraga's tail temporarily immobilized, there was nothing stopping Haruto from continuing his assault.

"Now's your chance! Go, Haruto-kun!" Kanna's voice rang loud and clear through Madou Comms as she continued clashing against the twin spear and twin acid tentacles, wielding her dual Flame Blades and Flame Shields.

Haruto narrowed his eyes, locking onto the exposed upper back of the monster. He extended his left hand sharply and shouted:

"Madoukai..!"

"VIOLET HOOK..!" [Mystic Energy: 45%]

A glowing violet tether shot forward, latching onto Morthamraga's back. Haruto secured the other end to his waist like a grappling hook and shouted:

"PUSH..!"

The energy line pulled him forward like a launched projectile. As he flew, Haruto twisted into a horizontal spin to the left, building momentum. Just as he closed in—he swung his scythe from left to right with devastating force.

VHHOOOMMM..

KKRRSSSHHHH..!!

(1 Hit) (1397 damage)

His blade tore through the same spot at the back of the monster's neck, carving a deep, vicious slash. Green blood sprayed violently from the fresh wound.

Morthamraga let out a guttural growl of pain. As its tail remained unresponsive, with Kanna keeping its attention locked from the front, the beast had no way to react to attacks from behind.

He kicked off the beast's back, launching himself into the air. Twisting forward, he performed a series of frontflips midair—scythe spinning with him like a razor-edged wheel of death. He plummeted in a controlled dive, slashing down with every rotation...

VHHOOOMMM..

KKRRSSSHHHH..!! KRAASSSHHH..!! CRRSSSSHHH..!!

(3 Hits) (2827 damage)

"Grrrhaakh..!!" Morthamraga roared in pain. But even through the agony, its focus remained fixed on Kanna—unable to risk taking its attention off her fiery blades for even a second.

Landing cleanly on the ground, Haruto continued his offensive actions without pause. He pushed off backward, performing a smooth backflip, and shouted:

"Madoukai..!"

"FATAL GUILLOTINE..!!" [Mystic Energy: 30%]

After raising the oversized blade above his head, now magnified to 1.5 times its usual size, he yelled again:

"EXTEND..!"

He landed squarely on the monster's serpentine midsection. Instantly, the shaft of his scythe shot forward—stretching seven meters long to match the elevation of Morthamraga's towering cobra-like posture. With perfect aim, Haruto drove the massive blade straight into the the left rear side of its head, and..

JLEEBBBSSSHH..!!

(1 Hit) (1623 damage)

The giant scythe blade pierced deep—so deep that its tip almost exited through the front of the monster's skull. Haruto didn't wait as he immediately shouted:

"RETRAACT..!!"

SSSRRREEEETTTT..! KKRRRSSSHHH..!! CRRAACCCKKSSSHHH..!!

(3 Hits) (3225 damage)

"HEEAAAA..!"

As the shaft retracted at high speed, the scythe tore through the left side of Morthamraga's head, slicing downward with overwhelming force—splitting through thick flesh until the cut reached halfway through its massive torso.

A torrent of thick, green blood erupted from the gaping wound as the monster's body nearly split in half from the devastating vertical rip.

— — —

Kanna's Perspective

As Morthamraga howled in pain, its body writhing from Haruto's devastating strikes, its balance plummeted. The massive beast moved sluggishly, its reflexes dulled.

Kanna didn't waste a second.

With a sharp deflect of her Flame Shields, she surged forward. Her Flame Blades slicing through the twin jaw-like tentacles that once spewed corrosive acids. The twin limbs split cleanly at the base, erupting into cinders and scattering into ash midair.

But she wasn't done.

She parried the spear tentacles again, knocking them aside with her twin flame shields. Then, in one swift motion, she retaliated—slashing with both feet and cutting deep into the base of both tentacles before diving forward with full force.

CRAAASSSHHH..!!

(1 Hit) [1562 damage]

The monster shrieked again, its weapons destroyed, its body broken—it had nothing left to counter with.

"RRUUVAAKH..!! Grax Ux: Graan Vokh.. XHAAR..!"

Morthamraga's voice cracked, twisted by pain and rage—its words a haunting mix of unintelligible speech and an eerie, foreign chant.

The boss monster had chanted something.

It spoke again? Maybe it just cried out in pain. Whatever it was, it wouldn't stop me..

She was unaware of the meaning of its strange language—assuming it was merely a scream of pain.

Kanna clenched her teeth and shouted with fire in her chest, "You won't be healing again! I'll rip your mouth apart so you can't chant another word!"

She pressed her legs down with explosive force, driving the flaming blades deeper into its mouth. Then, with a fiery roar:

"HEEAAAA..!"

CCRROOSSHHSSEESSS..!!

(2 Hits) [2193 damage]

Kanna executed a full vertical split—right leg forward, left leg back—tearing Morthamraga's upper and lower jaws apart with her dual flame swords. The monster's maw split open, a massive wound ripping through its face.

"Come on, Kanna, Haruto! Morthamraga's Life Points has only six percent remaining! COME ON—FINISH IT NOW!!" Luna's voice cried out through Madou Comms. Filled with excitement, she felt like victory was within reach.

"Just one more skill attack or a few combo attacks."

"Alright, Luna. Let me finish it for good." Kanna replied, excited about delivering the finishing blow.

"Flame Blades End..!" She shouted the command to end her Flame Blades.

In a flash, she flipped backward—executing a flawless aerial backflip as she retreated several meters away. She dropped lower in altitude until she hovered just inches above the ground—then shot forward again, flying toward Morthamraga from below.

The flame swords at her feet dissolved into blazing streams, returning to the intense flames roaring from her boots.

Then, without pause, she shouted again:

"Madoukai..!"

"SKYWARD SPIRAL..!!" [Mystic Energy: 20%]

Instantly, orange flames erupted from her right boot—morphing into a large, semi-transparent flame machete, nearly 1.5 meters in length, extending from the tip of her right foot like a burning blade. Her left boot's flame remained unchanged.

She bent her arms inward, bringing the hovering Flame Shields close to her upper body for protection. Then, she raised her right leg and swung it across from right to left—initiating the spin.

At first, her motion was graceful—almost like a ballet pirouette.

But within a second, it became a blur—a whirlwind of fire and steel.

Kanna spun violently, her body twisting like a sharpened spinning top as she rose through the air, slicing toward Morthamraga's upper body.

"TAKE THIS!!" she roared with burning resolve.

SLAASHH..! SLIICEEE..! SIEESSHTT..!

(8 Hits) [3491 damage]

Kanna shredded the beast's upper body in a flurry of strikes, slashing repeatedly from bottom to top—grinding through flesh like a living sawblade. Deep cuts and scorched wounds exploded across Morthamraga's chest and neck in rapid succession.

At this point, it wasn't just Kanna. Everyone was unaware of something critical.

The giant beast wasn't a foolish creature. It had prepared.

Inside The Conference Room

The room erupted in celebration. Applause rang out. Cheers filled the air. Some people hugged one another, overwhelmed with emotion as Luna confirmed the latest update.

Morthamraga's Life Points were down to just six percent.

The tide had turned. Luna herself was swept up in the momentum of Haruto and Kanna's relentless assault. Their synchronized attacks had brought them to the brink of victory.

Just one skill strike, or a few combo attacks.

That's all it would take.

"Take that, monster!"

"Don't mess with the people of Japan!"

"It's just a matter of seconds before victory!"

The room was buzzing with energy, filled with hope and pride.

But then—something unexpected… happened.

**

Kanna's Perspective

At the very same moment Kanna was delivering her spiral slashes, a white mystic circle appeared above Morthamraga's head. Light cascaded down from it—glowing over its body.

Kanna didn't see it.

She was caught in the rush of what she thought was the final blow.

The truth was—Morthamraga had already begun chanting its healing incantation just moments before Kanna tore open its mouth. The skill had activated just in time, the restoration had been triggered before the giant monster's LP almost reached zero.

Its wounds—including massive, gaping, near-fatal—began to close. Even the devastating slash from Haruto's Fatal Guillotine, which had nearly split the creature in half, began to mend. Flesh reconnected. Scales reformed. Bones knit back together.

The moment she finished her Skyward Spiral and began to slow her spinning in front of its massive head, the healing was already done.

Though its acid tentacles had not yet regenerated, the two spear-tipped ones had recovered first… just in time.

[Morthamraga 10,000 LP Restored]

A terrifying turning point!

"KANNA!! LOOK OUT!! GET BAAACK..!!" Luna's voice was frantic with panic.

"KANNA-CHAAN!! GET AWAAAY..!!" Haruto's desperate scream tore through the Madou Comms.
