Chapter 32 - Ch. 032 - Aftermath [1]

When the battle was finally over, those who still had strength to move quickly aided those who were heavily wounded. Those who were alive yet stuck under the pile of rocks were rescued. From there, the whole camp became busy treating the wounded and helping those who needs help.

Even though the camp has won against the sudden invasion of the Black Hole, it still left a deep scar in their hearts from the loss of their brethren. Earlier they were just with them, having fun and celebrating their victories from their past battles. Then within a blink of an eye, they were gone. They were dead.

Sadly, that is reality. That is what war is. As we meet tons of strangers in life, they quickly become our friends. Then as quickly as they entered our lives, they left an empty spot in our hearts as quickly as they came in. Nobody expected this tragic event to happen. No one was ready for this. The camp was supposed to be safe because it was far from the battlefield, yet the Fiends waged war at the very place we called our home for the past two years.

A figure suddenly appeared in the sky. The small figure was watching over us. When I thought that it was another enemy, before I could even scream for an incoming attack, a familiar voice suddenly resounded through the Wi-Fi Link.

'Banther.' Flower Von Luminosity, the young master's elder sister, spoke.

'My lady? I wasn't expecting your arrival.' I said amidst pants, trying to catch my breath.

'When I heard the news from my platoon leader that the camp was attacked and you and my new younger brother was here, I didn't hesitate to abandon my post.' She spoke. She scanned the area around and when she noticed the camp was weaving spells to throw at her, she slowly descended to the ground. Then when she was fully visible to the anxious survivors, they sighed in relief as they recognized Flower Von Luminosity. She used to be a fighter here back then when she was twelve and her merits made her famous throughout the camp.

"My lady." Flower spotted me. Even though my wounds were already healed, fatigue was so strong that I couldn't move a muscle.

"Banther! Gosh, I'm sorry for arriving late." She approached me and checked my health. When her scanner said that everything was green, she sighed in relief. Only then, did Flower looked around the battle that just ensued, making her eyes go wide. Even though there were lots of corpses of zolgarians, it couldn't be compared to the number of deaths from the Fiends. "Who exactly did this?" She asked.

"The young master did all of this." I answered, making her shake her head.

"That's impossible! He is just 14 years old, and he doesn't even have any Force Affinity yet, and you're telling me he did all this... slaughter?" She hesitated to say the last word.

I just nodded my head. "I couldn't believe my eyes either. But all I can tell you is that the young master is a force to be reckoned with. He is powerful even without an affinity."

Flower gulped. "So where is he now?"

I pointed at the direction where the young master landed. Flower quickly ran towards the direction. Even though she knew she had a new little brother, she hasn't seen him yet and this is the first time she will see her younger brother.

Flower halted from her tracks, her skin becoming pale as she couldn't believe what her eyes were witnessing.

Standing at the center of the deep crater was the young master who was unconscious. His grip was tight to the hilt of my sword while its blade was still pierced through the chest of Iskara. The young master's body was covered with blood, but not his blood. However, Flower assumed the worse.

"My gosh..." Were the only words she could muster to say.
