The three guys didn't expect the reverse psychology to actually work. They exchanged glances and smiled smugly.
"It's simple. Everyone gets twenty shots, add up the scores, and whoever has the most wins."
Although the few of them weren't great at it, their skills had to be better than a girl's.
Upon hearing this, Claire Green glanced thoughtfully at them, the corners of her lips slightly curved.
Beside her, Sebastian Winn couldn't help but whisper to John Sinclair, "Why do I feel like Olivia is up to something?"
John Sinclair nodded in agreement, "I think so too."
Sure enough, they soon heard the girl's nonchalant voice.
"I think that's not exciting enough. Let's change the rules."
The guy with the permed hair touched his mouth, "What do you suggest?"
Claire Green raised an eyebrow, her lips curving into a cold smile. "Each side sends out one person, targets suspended around the body, whoever hits the most wins. What do you think?"
The words fell, and the men fell silent.
"Julian, her gameplay is slick. Aren't you worried?" Mason Quinn couldn't help but whistle upon hearing Claire Green's suggestion.
Julian Sia's deep eyes shimmered with a hint of amusement as he spoke carelessly, "Claire knows her limits. Let her play for now."
Alright, just spoil her!
Mason Quinn silently shut his mouth.
"What, scared?" Claire Green stood casually with her hands in her pockets.
Isabella Xyler glanced at the permed guy, then at Claire Green.
This guy really can't compare; the same hands in pockets, Olivia looks lazy and cool, while the guy looks sleazy and pretentious.
Where on earth does he get the courage?
The permed guy, provoked by her, instantly puffed out his chest, "Why wouldn't I dare? I'll go for our side. What about yours?"
Claire Green pointed with her slender finger, chuckling lightly, "Him."
Stunned by her sudden point, Mason Quinn was caught off guard.
Why me? How is this my business?
This girl holds a grudge too much, just because I laughed at her once before. Julian laughed too that time, why not pick him?
"I refuse," Mason Quinn instantly rejected without a second thought.
Who knows how good that guy's aim is? If he's no good, and hits me, who am I supposed to cry to?
"Refusal invalid, it's you," George Xyler retorted effortlessly, giving him a gentle shove.
Mason Quinn stumbled forward with the force, turning back to glare at George Xyler fiercely.
Through gritted teeth, he said, "You really are my good brother."
"Thanks for the compliment," George Xyler laughed without any sense of guilt.
Julian Sia lifted his eyelids, speaking in a rather light tone, "That's settled, let's begin."
Mason Quinn looked at him incredulously, as if saying, Julian, how could you be like this?
After all these years, he was ultimately wrong about him.
Quickly, they had a staff member hang the targets, a total of twenty, around the body.
The permed guy walked over with gusto, but if you looked closely, his legs were trembling.
As soon as he steadied himself, he heard the girl's lazy remark.
"How's this gun? I've never played before."
Instantly, everyone except Julian Sia looked at her in disbelief.
You dare suggest this if you've never played before?
"The gun's alright," Julian Sia looked at the item in her hand and said.
Claire Green acknowledged with a sound, aiming at the target in a non-standard posture.
Upon hearing she hadn't played, the permed guy started trembling all over, wishing he could run away.
"Don't shake, if you shake and I miss, it'll be bad."
Claire Green exuded a lazy aura.
Then, before the others could react, she fired a shot.
"Bang—"
The bullet landed on the edge of the target, just barely missing the permed guy's third limb.
"Sorry, not used to it."
The guy looked down at the bullet's position, cold sweat trickling down. That was close.
Even though this bullet is fake, getting hit still really hurts. If it hit there, I'd probably be done for.
"Olivia, is this okay?" Sebastian Winn couldn't help but worry.
Isabella Xyler, however, remained calm and patted his shoulder, "It's fine. Besides, Julian is here."
Julian surely wouldn't let Olivia lose.
Next, everyone watched Claire Green shooting at the targets in her own elegant style, every shot barely missing the guy's body.
At first, they thought her skills were poor, but now they just felt she was playing around with the permed guy.
"Wow, Olivia's moves are wild," John Sinclair couldn't help but take out his phone to start filming, exclaiming repeatedly.
Seeing his actions, Sebastian Winn's eyes lit up, "John, send me a copy of the video later."
With twenty shots wrapped up, the permed guy sat down on the floor, pale-faced and drenched in sweat, gasping for air.
It was terrifying; he never wanted to play this game again.
The permed guy's two friends quickly ran up to help him up.
Claire Green tilted her eyes, looking at them and enunciated slowly, "So, want to keep playing?"
At once, the three of them turned pale and stammered out, "No, no more."
Then they took off running, as if a beast was chasing them.
Isabella Xyler excitedly hugged Claire Green, eyes smiling, "Olivia, you're amazing."
Beside her, Julian Sia saw this, squinted slightly, and spoke in a calm tone.
"Let go."
Almost as soon as he spoke, Isabella Xyler's hands quickly retreated, obediently standing aside.
I just hugged once; did Julian have to react that way?
"Let's go," Claire Green took out a tissue, wiped her hands, and said in a low voice.
...
Outside the shooting gallery, John Sinclair and Sebastian Winn's excitement hadn't waned.
Turns out Olivia's shooting skills are amazing.
Mason Quinn looked as if he'd seen a ghost, his eyes repeatedly glancing at Claire Green.
Finally, he couldn't help but speak, "Claire Green, didn't you say you've never played before?"
Claire Green's pale hand toyed with her phone, and at his words, she lazily replied, "Maybe I'm a genius."
Mason Quinn's mouth twitched; turns out there's someone more narcissistic than him.
Isabella Xyler playfully smacked him, "Why aren't you guys leaving?"
She didn't dare say this to Julian and her brother, only Mason was appropriate for these words.
"Really, Bella? You're actually driving me away now?" Mason Quinn clutched his chest dramatically.
Julian Sia gave him a cold look, "Are you planning to enter the acting world?"
Seeing his expression, Mason Quinn didn't dare act up, instantly turning serious.
Claire Green turned her head to look at the man beside her, the exquisitely arched eyebrow teasing, her lips slightly bent in a not-quite-smile.
"Brother, let's have dinner together."
This made Julian Sia's gaze deepen, his tone lazy yet enticing.
"Would Brother dare decline an invitation from Claire?"
Claire Green paused for two seconds, then laughed leisurely.
"Brother, if you don't want to go, then never mind."
Behind them, John Sinclair suddenly pulled Isabella Xyler to the front.
He murmured in a low voice, "Why do I feel like the atmosphere between Olivia and that man is a bit strange."
Isabella Xyler was absorbed and startled by his question, somewhat confused.
"How's it strange?"
"Just feels like there are pink bubbles floating around," Sebastian Winn chimed in.
John Sinclair nodded repeatedly, "Exactly, but isn't Olivia calling him brother?"
His voice might have been a bit too loud, as soon as he spoke, he saw everyone looking at him.
Upon hearing this.
Claire Green's eyelids lifted, her red lips slightly curled, she spoke in a languid, playful tone.
"A romantic brother is still a brother."
