Chapter 11 - The dark obsession

Location: Unknown Mansion — Underground Cell, Night

---

The room was lavish… in a twisted way. Velvet curtains covered thick concrete walls. A golden chandelier hung from the ceiling, far too elegant for a prison.

Mahi sat on a couch — no ropes now, but still trapped.

Her eyes darted to the door. Locked. No windows. No phone. No one around.

She wasn't just taken. She was being watched.

She rubbed her wrists anxiously, her heart pounding with every second that passed.

Suddenly—

The door creaked open.

A tall man entered, wearing all black. His hair slicked back. A silver chain rested on his neck. His eyes were sharp — cold, but strangely soft when they fell on her.

It was him.

The man who had her kidnapped.

The leader of a trafficking ring feared across borders.

But this time… he didn't come to hurt.

He came to see her.

---

Mahi (standing, voice sharp):

"Why did you bring me here? Who are you?"

Gangster (calmly, almost… fondly):

"They call me Zayyan. But you… you'll call me what you like."

Mahi (disgusted):

"You're one of those monsters who kidnap women, sell them like animals—!"

Zayyan (interrupting):

"I do… or I did. Until I saw you."

He walked closer. Not too close. Enough to make her feel the weight of his presence.

Zayyan (smiling darkly):

"You were supposed to be just another file… just another pretty face on the black list. But when I saw you… standing in that orphanage, smiling at those kids…"

> "I didn't want to sell you."

> "I wanted to keep you."

Mahi's breath caught in her throat. Her body stiffened.

Mahi (whispers):

"You're insane…"

Zayyan (softly):

"Maybe. But now… you're here. And you'll stay here, Mahi. No buyers. No trade. You belong to me now."

---

She ran toward him, fists pounding at his chest, tears burning her eyes.

Mahi:

"You don't get to choose that! You don't own me!"

Zayyan grabbed her wrists — firm, not cruel — and stared into her eyes.

Zayyan (voice low):

"I won't hurt you. I swear on my life. But I won't let you go either."

> "You're not like the others, Mahi."

"You're the only one who ever made me feel like I still had a heart."

---

He released her and stepped back, breathing heavy — as if battling his own darkness.

Then he left, locking the door behind him.

---

Mahi collapsed to the floor, trembling — not from fear… but from the dangerous obsession she just saw in his eyes.

> "someone… please find me before he destroys me completely...

Setting: Zayyan's Mansion — Surveillance Room & Mahi's Captive Suite

---

The room was dark, lit only by the cold blue light of monitors.

Zayyan sat alone, elbows on his knees, eyes fixed on a screen. On it, Mahi was reading a book by the window of her locked room — unaware she was being watched.

She wasn't crying anymore.

She wasn't begging.

She was… calm. Defiant. Beautiful.

He leaned back, his fingers tapping the armrest of his chair.

> "No one has ever looked at me like she does… like I'm nothing to her."

"And yet… she's everything to me now."

---

🥀 Scene Shift — Mahi's Room (Later That Day)

The door opened with a gentle creak.

Zayyan stepped inside, dressed casually for once — no suit, no chains, just a black shirt and dark jeans.

In his hand… a plate of food.

Mahi (dryly):

"What now? You going to sit here and watch me eat?"

Zayyan (placing the plate down):

"No. I just thought… maybe you'd eat more if I brought it myself."

She didn't respond. But he noticed the flicker of surprise in her eyes.

He sat across the room, silent.

Zayyan:

"You've been here for four days. You haven't asked me for anything. Not even help."

Mahi (cold):

"Because I won't beg a monster for anything."

Zayyan (smiling faintly):

"Even monsters bleed, Mahi. I just never did… until you."

---

He got up, walked to the shelf, and placed a single item there — a stethoscope.

Mahi blinked. Her hands clenched.

Mahi:

"That belonged to me…"

Zayyan:

"I know. I had it brought from the orphanage. You left it behind."

> "You're not a prisoner here anymore."

"You're… a guest."

She laughed bitterly.

Mahi:

"A guest who can't leave?"

He didn't answer.

But then he whispered:

Zayyan:

"I've sold hundreds of women, Mahi. I never knew their names. Never cared. But I learned yours. I know your birthday. Your favorite flower. The way you tuck your hair behind your ear when you're annoyed."

Zayyan (softly, with a madness in his eyes):

> "I don't want to sell you."

"I want to build you a kingdom."

---

Mahi stood, backing away slowly.

Her voice trembling — but sharp:

Mahi:

"You don't love me. You're obsessed with the idea of owning something pure. I'm not yours, Zayyan. I never will be."

A flicker of something painful crossed his face.

But then… he smiled.

Zayyan (calmly):

"We'll see."

He turned and walked out again, locking the door behind him.

---

Back in Surveillance Room

He watched her again on the screen.

And whispered to himself:

> "You'll love me someday, Mahi. And when you do… no one will ever take you from me. Not even him."

Ahaan's name burned in his mind.

A name he wanted to erase forever.

🕵️‍♂️ Scene Title: "The First Clue"

Setting: Police Intelligence Command Center — Night

---

Ahaan stood in the middle of a bustling intelligence room.

His jacket was soaked in rain, his jaw clenched, his eyes bloodshot. He hadn't slept in two days.

The only thing keeping him alive right now —

was the thought of Mahi's face.

Jack (sternly):

"Ahaan… I know she matters to you. But pulling two black ops teams off other missions—"

Ahaan (cuts him off):

"She's not just someone, Jack."

"She's the only reason I want to live"

Jack exchanged a look with Officer Gyan, who sighed and pushed a file across the table.

Officer Gyan:

"We found footage from a petrol station 3 km from the orphanage. One of the vans stopped for 3 minutes. That gave us a license plate."

Ahaan flipped through the file.

His fingers froze.

Ahaan (muttering):

"This van… this number... this isn't random."

He pulled out his phone and typed something fast — a backdoor trace from the intelligence unit he used in Operation 54.

A second later — a name flashed on screen:

> "Zayyan — Wanted: Human trafficking, international smuggling, suspected murders. Last spotted: Istanbul, Kuala Lumpur, Goa."

Jack (shocked):

"This man… he's a damn ghost."

Ahaan (voice like steel):

"Not anymore."

---

📍 Cut to: Ahaan standing in front of a digital wall map

He tapped into an encrypted line.

Ahaan (calm but cold):

"Deploy recon team to southern docks. I want satellite surveillance over the forest zone near Goa. And Jack… tell Julika—if I don't return—burn every safehouse he owns."

Jack:

"Are you going after him alone?"

Ahaan:

"No."

He looked at the screen where Mahi's last image from the orphanage flickered.

> "He took her from my world.

Now I'll drag him into mine."

---

Ahaan walks away from the camera room. His gun holstered.

His mind set.

Because for Mahi, Ahaan Shaikh won't knock the door. He'll break it.
