I'm sure Fumiko didn't expect me to come out like this but I don't really have much of a choice in this. Honestly I don't think it would've sat right with me if a girl saved me like this too.
Not that something is wrong with that but I'm trying to be cool here as well. What am I even thinking right now?
A straight golden glow begins to emit from Fumiko as he looks to face her direction. What is happening with her right now? I never once thought about what she could be capable of doing.
Her power, what makes her a hero. Why didn't I ever think about that?
"Personally I don't want to deal with either of you but it doesn't seem like I'll be able to avoid it." The man says with more of a serious tone to his voice.
Fighting against a sword with my bare hands doesn't seem like it'll go very well for me but here goes nothing.
Saito rushes past before Celeste can move herself and throws a punch towards the man standing before him.

I can turn that 20% chance into a guaranteed hit, screw the odds of me missing my attack. Everything is supposed to go in my favor with this system after all.

His fist goes right across the man's face and knocks him back a couple steps as he stands there baffled for a second. "Hahaha, wow. I didn't expect you to just punch me across the face like that." The man chuckles before winding up to attack him.
As the man swings the blade down towards him he can feel everything slow down. [Lucky Step active]. He easily moves to the side before time goes back to its normal speed.
So that's a way of using that skill, time to keep this up till my other skill runs out. I forgot it even had a cooldown so I should utilize every second I have.
Saito winds back his arm before throwing another punch, easily connecting across the man's face. Left, right, left, right. Each attack hitting for a guaranteed 100% chance.
[Physical Hit Chance 100%] 4 seconds remaining.
The man keeps stumbling back as Saito hits every punch without fail until finally he falls back onto the ground while holding himself up with the sword.
"What's happening right now, I can't avoid a single attack..." The man thinks to himself.
The timer is about to run out so this was probably the extent of what I could do with guaranteed hits.
He kicks the man in the chest right before the timer hits 0. [Physical Hit Chance 20%] That was everything I could do, I don't know if it was enough for me to beat him.
I guess I'll find out if he stands back up after all of that. That was the first time I ever even hit someone that many times, or well in general.
The man coughs a few times and his mask breaks a bit before blood spilled out a bit. "That was something alright..." He says weakly.
Celeste rushes in after that without wasting a second and brings her leg up and slams it down into his chest. Crumble!!!! Crack!!! A small shockwave goes past the man's body as she breaks the ground around them slightly from the impact.
He can't really react from the pain of the kick as he's just barely conscious now. [Lucky step] Saito avoids the shockwave with ease and doesn't get pushed back whatsoever.
So it works for simple stuff like a shockwave as well? I'm learning more and more about how this system works but I just helped with beating some guy. He's what they consider a villain I believe.
I forget they exist in this world sometimes since usually they get dealt with pretty fast by the different hero organizations.
"No powers and you decide to take on this guy, are you crazy!?!" Fumiko shouts with a bit of frustration in her voice.
Saito stands there for a moment while looking down at the man on ground. "We got him though." Saito manages to say with a bit of nervousness getting to him.
It's kind of cute to see her getting frustrated about this since it seems like she cares about my well-being or something. Not that I would complain about it since she's beautiful and way above my league.
Fumiko lets out a sigh before moving her foot off of the man. "I'm glad you didn't get hurt but I'm definitely confused about how you did any of that." Fumiko responds with more of a calm tone now.
"I wish I could explain better but what happens to that guy now?" Saito asks with a bit of curiosity.
I've never been present during the defeat of a villain so this is all brand new to me. What do they do with these people after they commit such atrocious acts to the public?
People begin to cheer as they look towards the two of them standing there. "I don't know who that guy is but he was so cool!" Someone shouts with excitement.
I wasn't trying to capture any attention from the public so this won't be very good if I start getting put in a spotlight. "The Hero Commission will handle it. Companies like the one who recruited me don't want us handling it too much." Fumiko answers while ignoring the crowd.
A hero society with this commission is how things can be handled properly since most heroes get recruited somehow. It's rare to see a hero without a corporation behind them but I guess it doesn't matter.
I'll never worry about it since I'm not a hero, I am just some guy who gets lucky sometimes. Or would it be better to say that luck is on my side in the right times?
