Early this morning, Arthas was woken up by Hestia. Although it was his first day adventuring in the Dungeon, Hestia was even more nervous than he was.
Arthas could only let the girl fuss over him; although her actions were clumsy and cute, it was all for him.
After eating a lovingly prepared breakfast made by the Goddess, Hestia personally escorted Arthas to the Dungeon entrance in the labyrinth city of Orario.
Besides the Dungeon, a towering building stood out even more in the city center.
Seeing Arthas curiously staring at the building, Hestia began to explain.
"That's the Babel Tower, the tallest building in Orario, used for monitoring the Dungeon and guild management. It has public facilities, a trading post, commercial facilities, and everything else. The top floor is where the Gods reside."
"Why don't you live there, Hestia?"
Arthas curiously asked, and Hestia showed an embarrassed expression.
"Me? …There are some unavoidable reasons. I haven't been down from the heavens for very long, I don't have much experience or strength, so I don't have the qualifications to live in that tower."
Hestia said this, looking up at the tall Babel Tower. In her eyes, Arthas saw no dissatisfaction or envy; the girl seemed uninterested in the luxurious building.
"Well… I've gotten tired of living in such luxurious dwellings in the heavens. Although my current place is a little dilapidated, and I have to work to make a living, I'm very happy."
Hestia said this casually, with a playful expression.
"And now I have my own family, I'm already very satisfied. Being too greedy is bad."
She's satisfied with this… she's really an easily satisfied Goddess.
Thinking this, Arthas shook his head, his hand unconsciously falling lightly on Hestia's head again.
"Don't do that, it's embarrassing! So many people are watching."
Hestia blushed and slapped Arthas's hand away. The Goddess looked around nervously. After all, this was the Dungeon entrance. Although it was still early, many adventurers preparing to enter the Dungeon were gathered at the entrance.
Fortunately, it seemed that no one noticed the intimate contact between the unknown Goddess and her Familia member.
"Do your best! Don't push yourself, okay? It's best to team up with some experienced adventurers. Even if you don't team up, you can secretly follow them."
Hestia said this incessantly. The girl tried her best to tiptoe, then placed her hand on Arthas's head.
After finally managing to reach, the girl smiled contentedly.
"I'll be waiting for your triumphant return, my hero."
"Yes, don't worry, it's only the first floor. There's no need to be so nervous."
Finding his Goddess's reaction somewhat amusing, Arthas gently held her hand and spoke softly.
"Aren't I a genius? If I'm a genius, the first floor is a piece of cake."
"Yes, that's right, Arthas is a genius! You'll definitely become the strongest adventurer in Orario."
Hestia nodded, then reluctantly released his hand, watching Arthas step back.
"Th-then… I'll go to work now. Good luck!"
Arthas nodded lightly and walked towards the Dungeon entrance.
Passing through the noisy crowd, ignoring some adventurers who seemed to want to talk to him because he looked like a newbie, Arthas went down the long stairs.
Although Hestia had told him to team up with other adventurers, Arthas had no such intention.
Besides Arthas, there were a few other obviously nervous newcomers. Ignoring those newbies, Arthas headed off alone in a less crowded direction.
Instinctively, Arthas disliked noisy environments. He found that he didn't like crowded places very much.
After walking alone for a while, the surroundings became completely quiet. According to Eina, the Dungeon's monsters usually appear from the walls, so staying alert is crucial. But for some reason, Arthas wasn't nervous at all.
"But… there aren't any monsters."
Looking at the empty cave, Arthas muttered to himself.
After all, it's only the first floor. Countless adventurers pass through every day, and the weak Goblins are usually taken care of as soon as they appear.
Should I… go to the second floor?
After wandering around for a long time without seeing any monsters, Arthas looked at the stairs he occasionally passed, and couldn't help but think this.
Although Eina had repeatedly warned him to be careful, after entering the Dungeon, Arthas felt no discomfort at all.
He didn't feel the anxiety and panic that a newbie usually feels when entering the Dungeon for the first time.
This made Arthas think, 'So this is the Dungeon… it's just like this…'
It's too ordinary, like taking a walk in his own backyard.
It wasn't excessive confidence, but rather Arthas's personality, causing him to be very indifferent to danger and even his own life.
Perhaps in the eyes of others, this might be a very irrational and reckless act, but in Arthas's eyes, it was an ordinary choice.
Simply because he couldn't see any monsters on the first floor, so he decided to go to the second floor.
This reason is somewhat laughable, but there's nothing to criticize.
With this in mind, Arthas went straight up the stairs to the second floor. Going straight to the second floor on his first day in the Dungeon, Arthas is quite a rare adventurer.
