When it became late, kiway sent us home. Claiming that, we are endangering the magical animals that will attack us.
It was true and funny, cause I was now going home. With the kind of protection a high chief of the south forest, will have as guards.
When we got to our hut, Nehu said goodbye. saying she wants to head home immediately today. We both gave her a hand shake and went inside.
After opening the door, we ran to the kitchen. Mom was in the kitchen cooking as usual.
She turned around and opened her arms, as we ran into her arms like we used to as little kids but now that we where bigger, it was becoming more complicated.
Now we would crash into her and balance her on impact, so that she doesn't fall backwards.
After the tight embrace she took in a deep breath. then said, I don't know who smells like kiway's soup but someone sure does!
Instead of letting go, we started rubbing our hands on her back and legs, while she pretended to be trying to escape.
Following our obvious assumption that if rubbed. We could make her smell like kiway soup.
After a lot of laughter, something started to smell like it was burning and mom said we should go wash our hands and faces for supper.
Which led to us racing to the bathroom, to take the first turn.
I let my sister take the first turn. Actually she beat me to it but I refused to admit it for a change.
Once we returned to the kitchen. We started helping out, with putting different dishes on the table. We blessed the food and started to dig in.
While I narrated the exciting parts of my day, to mom and spoke more than my sister for a change. She just sat there listening, like she wasn't there! when it all happened.
At some point in the narration of the story of my day. I wondered, if my mother believed a word I said because the owner of the story, was acting weird.
I just promised myself that I would drag Nehu into narration tomorrow.
After I cleared the table I said that I will clean the dishes. So that my sister could go bath first.
She seemed to be exhausted or holding in, some heavy secret that has made her suddenly, mute or lazy to talk for the rest of today I think.
She just gave mom a kiss on the cheek then gave me a hug and went to bath. After she got out of the bathroom. She went straight to her room but mom and I both looked worried.
I finished what I was doing and left mom sitting in the kitchen, still having a worried expression.
I went to bath, changed and went to the kitchen to find Angie wrapped up in mom's hands quietly sobbing.
I retreated before they could here me and watched from a corner, till she became better and asked to go to bed.
After mom let her go to bed she gestured to me, to come to her.
Meaning I was not that good at hiding. She gave me a long hug and said my sister will be okay. She just misses daddy, some time's.
Which is normal but when that happens she does not prefer to talk. Only to cry. then tomorrow she will be back to her normal noisy self.
I didn't say anything just smiled at her. Then she said that I should go to bed, so that she can have her beauty sleep.
I gave her a kiss on the cheek, said good night and went to my room. While on my bed I wondered, how it would have been to have dad around.
None the less, sleep came without warning like always, interrupting my thoughts by taking over.
In the morning I woke up and did my normal routine in a hurry. Then strapped my hands, in the claws and ran threw the forest.
The plan was to go see my best friend the tree. My thoughts are that it is now family, so we should give it a name and stop calling it tree.
I wondered if it would have any suggestions, or maybe it had a name! but we just didn't ask.
Getting to kiway's cave, was quite a challenge today. I came across a Teetee so because, I know that it is stronger than me.
I had to climb up a tree, then wait or carry on moving, from high ground to avoid it.
Yes it was a slow process because I had to remain high and make sure I don't slip and fall.
If I fell, it would mean that I would have to fight it off as much as possible, till I can find a hiding spot deep enough to hide and wait.
Which would be worse than moving forward slowly and carefully, as you could wait for hours, before it got bored or hungry.
Nature was like this. Never in a hurry.
If only the tree could move around with me, instead of Angie. It would be taken to different places and meet, or make some new friends!
Who knows it might be bored, from standing still the whole time.
The Teetee remained moving on the ground, following me. While I was in the trees, till something disturbed it.
Some Spikeres that is very territorial. The Spikeres was already charging, at the Teetee without warning.
Fortunately for the Teetee. It heard the Spikeres just in time, to retreat into its shell. On impact it was thrown against a tree trunk and landed spinning, while being upside down.
When it charged again, the Teetee grabbed onto the horns base, by digging into its one eye and on the other side, it was close to the eye, with its claw digging in just below.
The Spikeres screamed in pain and started moving backwards. When the Teetee got turned right side up, it let go and emerged out of its shell totally unharmed.
It stood over the Spikeres that had retreated creating a ball of spikes.
I sneaked away as they where phasing each other off. Since both of them could have easily killed me.
When I was totally out of sight I took off running. I got to kiway's cave and greeted the tree. Before I went inside the cave, to greet grandpa kiway, who was busy mixing some herbs again.
