She looked in her hands. Then on the floor. The leaves on the floor had withered and the tree was not healing itself. But why?
Having no one to ask but the tree she asked why are you not healing yourself.
I have seen you doing it a lot of times when sparring with Carter. So why are your leafs withering now.
She was saying this with tears in her eyes, because she accepted the tree as family. Even though she wanted to give Carter, a beating for giving the tree a name so close to her own.
The tree removed the dome around Carter letting him out and drew a heart on the floor.
Angelique was stuck. Her brain was blank. She didn't know how to answer to that.
She gathered the leafs from the floor and gave them to kiway.
Saying find a way to fix this please. Then she ran off and Nehu followed her.
Once she had left I turned to the tree and said, thank you for protecting me. Then smiled and said nice try buddy, at least you told her how you feel.
I can't even tell Tiphany that I like her, never mind love her.
Kiway said out loud, for all to here. I believe Tiphany knows that, just like the rest of the village.
Which made everyone laugh again. I had forgotten that they where behind me.
The tree also waved it's leafs around enjoying the joke.
Well I was glad to have cheered the tree up a little even though it's leafs where not yet restored.
Kiway went inside to put the leafs down in his cave and only came back out with one. He went to the Willow tree and got some water droplets.
Running the water droplets directly on the leafs and watching if there would be any changes. Then he went inside again mumbling to himself.
Priska's parents said goodbye, for formality sake, because they knew kiway wouldn't here anything they said, while he was in this problem solving mode.
So Priska and I said goodbye instead, as they walked out of the cave and into the forest.
Then I said, let's get out of kiway's hair and go play with Angelo. Priska stood up and walked out of the Cave with me.
We just sat there with our backs on the tree trunk, telling tall tales in order to entertain Angelo.
Priska then said why don't we decorate Angelo. He might end up happier.
I watched for the tree's reaction. The response was exactly, what I thought it would be because it folded its leafy brunches.
Indicating that it didn't like this idea. Yet I encouraged Priska's idea, prompting her further, by asking her what would we use to decorate Angelo.
Let's look at what we can find around. I bet Angelo would love natural beauty's like flowers!
We got up to search for decorations.
My plan was to get back at Angelo, for laughing at me when kiway teased me about Tiphany.
Priska ran at the edge of the forest getting flowers, vines and smooth colourful rocks.
While I got, big shiny seeds that could be hollowed out and some thin vines to make a, seeded neck lace. But to it, this would be a trunk lace as it will hang around it's trunk.
Then once we where done collecting everything, we went back to sit under Angelo as we worked on our mini project.
As I worked and the trunk lace had quite a few seeds on the vine, I noticed that the seeds that I picked up where many, yet the string was not becoming heavy.
From instinct I looked at the start of the string, where I had made a not, to keep the seeds from falling out and noticed a leafy branch, taking a few seeds out on the other end.
Angelo what are you doing? I asked out loud so that Priska could here.
Angelo retreated the branch and acted like, he has been still the whole time, which just got Priska to give me a questioning look.
I just stood up and went around the trunk . Returning with all the seeds that Angelo had taken.
Priska still did not understand, what had happened but she didn't question anything and carried on preparing her decoration.
When we got done, we started draping the vine around it's trunk and putting the colourful pebble stones, at the bottom of the trunk to surround the tree.
While we where doing this, Angelique returned with Nehu. dragging something that had, six round hard vegetables, on three straight brunches and a woven basket that was very big. Which was tied to all this.
There where vines that where thick, that helped to drag and steer.
Kiway came out of his cave to see what was making the noise. Nehu went close to Angelo waiting for Angelique to fetch the leafs from kiway's cave.
Angelique was explaining to kiway what she was told, and how the instructions, them selves are trial and error.
Kiway walked Angelique out of the cave and close enough to the tree. In case they might need help cause the tree was now quite big, compared to the time it was carried here for the first time.
Angelique crouched down, to the floor and told the tree to move to her hands. Nehu got to the other side of the tree.
Angelo removed his roots from the ground holding onto Angie's hands. Immediately when it made contact it started glowing with a dim light.
It removed more of its roots till it was all free from the ground. kiway went to help on Nehu side and they carried it off the ground a little bit.
Angelique struggled on her side so I joined in. Taking Angie's side but holding it at a branch rather than from the bottom.
We put it in the carrier basket and all of us worked together. To take Angelo and Angie to the river. When we got to the river we took out Angelo. Both Angelo and Angie went into the water.
When they were in the water, Nehu got in and gave Angelo his leafs. A few of them at a time.
Angelo shined brighter and brighter, till all the leafs had been replaced, then the sparks came, after it shined the brightest
Angelique wondered, how come the tree wasn't making her float away, with the water but didn't ask.
The tree had anchored itself in the river bed, with some roots. Once Angelo had completely healed, we assisted with getting Angelo back into the basket.
Then took him back to the spot next to the Willow tree, where he placed his roots back into the ground.
Angelique then stood in front of the tree and said, I am sorry Angelo for hurting you. Will you forgive me?
