~Paige~
I awoke to Adrian carrying me towards the porch of his house, cradling me but looking distant. He wouldn't look at me and I felt it was my fault, I said too much. I seemed to have a habit of that.
"Adrian, I am sorry I upset you," I said as we walked into the threshold of his house. Adrian set me down and sighed.
"You did not upset me. You could not upset me if you tried," he said as he took my hand and led me into his bedroom.
"You're freezing, love. I'm gonna start the shower for you," Adrian said as he walked into the bathroom of his room.
The word love leaving his lips sent excitement through my veins. I heard the shower water start running, so I undressed from my disgusting clothes, starting with my panties. Adrian came from the bathroom door as I was pulling off my shirt, and helped me pull it off the rest of the way. He took my hand and led me into the bathroom.
"If you need anything mon cheri, just let me know I'll be in here," he said, gesturing his head towards his room. He gave me a kiss on the forehead again, and walked away.
I didn't know if he was angry or just trying to give me space.
"But I want you with me!" I called out to him.
He stopped walking and turned around to face me.
"I will stay with you, if you wish," he said with a soft smile.
I stepped closer to him and looked up into his eyes.
"I want you...to shower with me," I said as I started to unbutton his blood stained shirt.
"I don't want to be left alone..." I whispered, shaking my head slowly.
"As you wish," he whispered, then pressed his soft cold lips into mine.
I finished unfastening the buttons and slid his shirt off of him.
Then I did the same with his jeans, never taking my eyes off of his.
He stroked his hand over a strand of hair, stroking it away from my face and I flinched at the sting from my eye.
"I am so sorry, love. Come, I can fix that," he said as he led me into the shower.
"Do you trust me?" Adrian asked softly as the warm water ran over us both.
I nodded.
"I trust you with my life Adrian," I answered as my eyes met his.
Adrian wrapped his arms around me, and then bit into his wrist while holding my head into his chest.
I saw blood dripping to the floor of the shower, but said nothing.
"Paige, this is very important, I need you to open your mouth," Adrian said as he moved his punctured wrist to my face.
I hesitated at first, then looked back into his deep sapphire blue eyes, and nodded. I parted my lips and let Adrian's blood fill my mouth. The taste of muscadine wine clung to my tongue and warmth took over my body.
I felt intoxicated, and aroused, I pulled Adrian into me and my lips met his.
I felt my heart start pounding and my clit was throbbing in sync with my heart's beat.
Adrian let out a groan and picked me up. I wrapped my legs around his hips as my back crashed into the wall of the shower.
The steam of the shower surrounded us, and the water ran through our hair and down our skin as he positioned himself inside of me.
I tightened my grip around him.
I felt his hands digging into my thighs as he thrust himself back and forth inside me. Heat boiled up inside and pleasure engulfed my entire body. My breathing became heavy and his growl grew more consistent with each thrust, growing louder and louder.
His fingers ran through my scalp and pulled at my hair.
I exposed my neck to his lips and moaned at his mouth sucking at my neck.
I felt a prick of pain at my neck, then felt the heat of pleasure running through my whole body once more. My mouth let out a scream of pleasure as the warmth of my core came running down my legs. Adrian tilted his head back and groaned in pleasure as the water from the shower hit his face. He lapped his tongue over my neck, then pressed his lips against mine once more.
"Turn around," he said huskily.
"Adrian, I can't take any more…I just came," I said with a smile.
"Plenty of time for that you minx. I'm going to wash your beautiful hair," he whispered with his lips against my ear. His breath on my neck had my body aching for more, but I knew I needed a time out, exhaustion was slowly taking over. I giggled and turned my back to him to let him wash my hair.
He was so gentle with me, something I was not used to, but I loved every moment of it. After the shower, he wrapped me up in a black terry cloth robe, and wrapped a towel around his waist. I couldn't help but stare at how amazing he was. The body of a Greek god, a tatted up bad boy, the eyes of a gentle lover, I couldn't help but fall head over heels in love with this man.
"I'm gonna make you something to eat, get comfortable. I'm keeping you in bed for a few days." He he winked and tossed me a remote.
I felt my cheeks getting warm, and felt embarrassed by my blushing so I put my head down to hide it.
Adrian just laughed.
"You are adorable," he said just before he left the room.
I turned toward the mirror and my face looked different.
I expected to see scrapes and bruises, but instead, I saw clear radiant skin. Looking under
the robe at my naked body, there were no bruises on my ribs either.
That is weird. "How am I healed right now?" I said, tying the robe back around me.
I need to know if I am losing my mind or if this is just a dream.
I climbed into bed and used the remote to turn on the TV. I wasn't sure what to watch since I was too tired to sit through an entire movie, so I settled on cartoons just for sound. Adrian returned to the room with soup and grilled cheese.
"I need you to eat my love, you can rest after," he said. He could tell I was tired, there was no hiding it.
"Are you going to eat?" I asked, curious to know if he is even human.
"I can, but I usually don't. Food does not sustain me," he said as he climbed into the bed next to me. I chewed on the grilled cheese. I wanted to say it but it would sound crazy.
"Don't worry about me, sweet vixen, I am full enough," he said with a smile. I swallowed my food.
He's full enough? Food doesn't sustain him?
He was covered in blood and had no injuries.
Of course he's full—he's a fucking vampire. Wait,
Nicole…she was shot, but…fuck.
My heart raced as I put together the pieces in my head.
I didn't know if I should be upset or joyful. Nicole beat death but at what cost?
If I was in shock before, this takes the cake.
I'm not crazy, I know what he is. But I'm not afraid.
"Just say it," I said.
"Pardon?" he asked.
"Just say it so I won't sound crazy asking it," I insisted.
"Paige, I told you I would answer any questions. If you want me to say what I am, what you already know, I will," he said with an innocent smile.
I nodded. "Go on, then," I said, returning his smile.
"I am a Vampire, that's the short version," he said with a wide smile.
"Okay, so I'm not crazy," I said out loud.
I fucking knew it! I don't know how this is possible.
But if he wanted to hurt me, he would have by now.
He saved my life, period.
I shrugged and continued to eat the soup, attempting to play it cool while I tried to convince myself this is real in my head.
"That's it. You are not afraid?" he asked.
I sighed.
"You're not a monster, but I still have questions. I am just too tired to cover them all," I said while putting the bowl and plate on the night stand beside me.
"You think I'm not a monster?" he asked with a bigger smile.
I yawned, and stretched out my arms feeling even more exhausted.
I curled into his chest, the feeling of being safe overwhelmed me.
"Most people are monsters, but not you, Adrian," I said with a yawn.
I felt him stroke my hair until sleep overcame me.
