At seven, Kisha was fully dressed and was admiring herself by the mirror. Anthony had taken his time to hire the best stylist out there to get her dressed and the person by the reflection of the mirror was simply a beauty to behold.
She heard the honk of Anthony's car and made her way down stairs to meet him. She had given important instructions to Sarah, as regards the manner at which Fred should be taken care off.
When she opened the door, she was graced to see Anthony looking gorgeous in his tuxedo. His looks was stiff as usual, but she could see that her sight had gotten a slight reaction out of him.
Anthony on the other hand, was simply amazed seeing Kisha in a dashing black gown, one of the best gowns out there in the whole of Darkwood. He proceeded to opening the door for her as the perfect gentle man, before moving to the driver's seat and afterwards, heading out of his mansion.
When they arrived at the event hall, they were the centre of attention and while Kisha was really cautious of the preying eyes, staring at her, Anthony was used to it and simply ignored the stares.
Amidst the important dignitaries that had arrived at the party was the Mayor of Darkwood. While making their way to the section of important guests, Kisha noticed a much familiar face.
Edna had followed the mayor to the party as his date and didn't believe Anthony would be present. When she saw Kisha seating side by side with Anthony, she was jealous. Edna didn't like the whole situation and decided to be once again vindictive.
During the course of the event, Kisha excused herself and was heading towards the bathroom, when she bumped into Edna.
"Enjoying the party dear sister?" Edna asked with an evil smirk on her face.
"What do you want Edna? I thought our last encounter was enough? Why are you bugging my life?" Kisha asked feeling pissed already.
"Shut up you whore! You come to the party with my husband and think I would just like things slide? Are you daft?" Edna's comment took Kisha aback for a moment and she closed her eyes and sucked in her breath, trying not to be angry at an important occasion like this one.
"Listen Kisha; I don't know what your motive is, but I will have you understand something. Anthony would never be able to see you as someone important in his life. You are his enemy's daughter and that would be imprinted at the back of his mind forever." Edna's word was taking toil on Kisha's emotion.
"You call me a whore, yet you are the one who came with the mayor to the party. How about I tell Anthony how much of a cheat you are? I mean we both know that you are simply forcing yourself on him isn't it?" Kisha fired back, much to Edna's shock.
The restroom door was opened and she noticed Anthony coming from afar towards the restroom and knew a perfect plan. She turned to Kisha, saying. "While you call me a whore, I will have you remember that you are the one with a child, whose father is unknown and right now, it is clear you are planning to pin it on Anthony, by forging a fake DNA test result for him." Edna said those words aloud,, knowing that Anthony could be listening.
Meanwhile, Anthony had been curious to know where Kisha had gone to and followed her tracks. When he was about checking the restroom, he had heard a familiar voice being Edna speak some shocking facts. He entered the restroom and gave Kisha a hard stare.
"You are coming with me this minute!" He declared after acknowledging the presence of Edna. Anthony had also seen Edna come to the party, and upon enquiry he realized that the Mayor had begged that Edna accompany him to the party innocently.
When Kisha got to the car with Anthony, she didn't dare say a word as the look on Anthony's face was murderous. She muttered curse silently at Edna for being such a manipulator.
It was after she had said those words that Anthony stepped into the rest room and right now, she knew that there was much explanation which ought to be done by her,
"Follow me now!" Anthony demanded, after stopping the car.
Kisha tried to match his pace as they head up the stairs and eventually into his room, where he demanded that Kisha closed the door. Once the door was closed, Anthony moved towards Kisha in a threatening manner.
"What did Edna meant by saying that the DNA test results were fake? Have you been lying to me all the while?" He asked.
Kisha was scared of this side of Anthony; he was monstrous and could break her into pieces if she dared press his buttons. "Edna is lying, you should know that the doctor who conducted the DNA test on Fred and yourself has been your personal doctor for years. I don't know him from Adam." Kisha defended herself.
Anthony reasoned with what Kisha had said. There was no way Kisha would have known his personal doctor, since he was an elite doctor and didn't work in hospitals. He was hired exclusively by Anthony.
"I know this is the time you want to believe Edna as usual, but I need you to understand that there is no chance in hell I would ever bribe the doctor or forge a test result, showing that Fred is your son. The evidence are there; the striking similarities should be enough to drive home my point." Kisha explained.
Anthony was once again left in confusion; why was Edna making such heinous allegations. He wondered why the two women always seemed to be at logger heads. He moved further towards Kisha, who still had anxiety within. He held her chin up towards his face. "I certainly hope that all you have said at this moment is true.
If at any point, I have the slightest of doubt, that would be the end for you." Anthony dropped her chin.
Kisha saw this as a clue and eventually left the room, and moved to her room, locking the door and dropping to her bed. It was a sigh of relief that Edna didn't succeed this time. She knew she needed to be weary around her.
