"Kisha, I have made my decision period!" He turned his back on Kisha and continued reviewing his document, while Kisha kept on crying profusely, thinking about all the pains she had allowed his father passed through. She reminisced back to the day he had looked at her in disdain, when she had set him up for Lucas to capture and wondered if her father was ever going to forgive her.
After almost an hour of crying before Lucas, who was unshaken by her tears, Kisha fell asleep on the cold floor.
Lucas turned around to see that she had fallen asleep, and got up to carry her to her room. When he attempted to lift her up, Kisha pushed Lucas away. "I am going to leave with Fred, if you don't release my father." She said with determination written across her face.
Lucas didn't say a word, he simply watch her revert back to her sleeping position. He knelt down to Kisha's level.
"Alexander Alessandro is my prisoner and I will not release him. If you think for one second that I am bothered by a mere threat from you, then you can think again. There is no way you will escape with Fred when I have eyes around the place." He stood up and left the study room, leaving Kisha sobbing on the cold floor.
Meanwhile, Edna had arrived at Lucas's mansion. While heading towards Lucas's room, she noticed a secret room she hadn't seen before and curiosity got the better of her. She moved to the room, opening the door to see that it led to a dungeon.
Edna noticed someone laying helplessly on the floor and when she checked, Edna discovered that it was Alexander Alessandro. She didn't expect Lucas to capture him once more and seeing his condition, Edna knew that it was only a matter of time, before he passed away.
"It such a pity really; I thought you would be wise enough to run away from Lucas, but once again, you fell into his trap and this time, I don't think you will be able to make it." She chuckled as the man raised his head to stare at her.
She stepped forward and leaned down to face him, taking in a deep breath and gently tapping his shoulder.
"Before you die, I am a thoughtful person and I believe that people, who would die soon, should die with the truth laid bare before them. Which is why I think it is important I let you know the real truth." Edna smiled, seeing the man with pain stricken face look at her.
"I am not your daughter Mr. Alexander. I only claimed to be your daughter for a rather important reason. Heck, I can never be the daughter of a dying man. Someone with no hope of living again. I hope you rest in peace and may the heavens accept your soul and purge you off your sins aftermath." Edna spit into the dungeon and watched with excitement in her eyes.
It was all over for her and there was certainly nothing she could do about it.
Kisha stood up from the cold floor and decided to see her father. She needed to apologize to him for ever setting him up against Lucas. She moved out of the room and headed for the dungeon to realize that the door to the dungeon was open, meaning someone had stepped foot.
When she arrived, Kisha slowly moved forward to meet Alexander, who was now seating on the bed and staring at her with an almost closed eye. She knelt down before him and wept for a moment. She needed to lay the guilt off her chest.
It has always been bothering his heart for the very longest of times. She needed to tell him or she will be dead with the guilt.
"I know you hate me for the things I have done to you. Since my younger days, I always wondered what the feeling meant to have a father. I didn't know the essence till I met you. I am sorry for the pain that I have caused you. I should never have brought you to Darkwood again. The point remains that I am your daughter. I am Kisha Alessandro. The DNA test conducted on that fateful day was all a scam. The doctor was bribed with money to alter the result and that was why it came out negative. You may not believe me father, but this is the truth."
She held the irons of the steel cage and wept further, even when she tries to wipe of the tears from her eyes, it kept on falling.
"I love you father and that would never change. Now that I know the truth, I can finally see the reason why it was so easy to bond with Amy." Kisha wasn't speaking words for mere speech. She was pouring out her emotions.
Alexander watched as the young lady, who he learnt was his child stood crying and he was moved by it. All the while he had nurtured hate in his heart because he believed she betrayed him and set him up for Lucas.
He was slowly seeing the dichotomy between his self acclaimed daughter, who he had just figured wasn't his daughter in the first place, and his actual daughter. He realized that the signs were there, but he was too blind to notice them and now that he did, he was going to try to live for her sake.
"This is my confession to you father. I wanted to purge out my guilt as I can't bare to live with them. I certainly hope you find a place in your heart to forgive me." Kisha said, wiping off her tears and stood up to leave.
Just before she could leave, she heard a statement. "You don't have to beg for anything daughter." That was all she needed to hear. The voice was from Alexander and it sound refreshing being called a 'daughter' for the first time in a very long time.
