Noa: "AAAAAAAA!!!!!!"
Noa: "I'm turning into a zombie! AAAAAAAA!!!!!!"
CLICK! FLASH!
The flash of a phone camera shot straight at Noa, freezing her in place.
Noa: "Huh?"
"Ha ha ha!"
Roy and Cris, without a word, raised their hands and clapped them together in a loud high-five—perfectly in sync, full of pride and mischief.
Roy: "Told you, Mr. Den! We could scare her!"
Mr. Den grinned, holding the camera he had just used to capture Noa's terrified face.
Noa: "Wait—what?! Hey!!"
Cris: "Your scared face was priceless, Noa!"
Noa: "You two plotted against me!"
Roy and Cris just smiled.
Roy: "Yup. We did it because Mr. Den wanted to see you freak out."
Ken and Lyn exchanged glances at that.
Roy pointed toward Mr. Den, who only responded with a small smile.
Glen: "So… it was all just acting?"
Cris: "At first, I was scared too. But then Mr. Den pulled me aside and asked for help. After that, I pulled Roy in while he was freaking out too."
Roy: "I wasn't scared. I was just… making noise for effect."
Cris: "Yeah, yeah, whatever you say, Roy."
Roy: "Hmph."
Glen (slightly annoyed): "You guys teamed up just to scare Noa?"
Roy: "It was fun!"
Cris: "What's the problem?"
Glen paused, awkward.
Glen: "...Nothing."
Noa (arms crossed, yelling): "Hah! You guys have no idea how worried we were!"
Roy: "Yeah, but come on, Noa, wasn't it fun?"
Noa rolled her eyes.
Noa: "Yeah, so hilarious..."
Mr. Den: "You see, Noa, you're never scared in our haunted houses. We felt a bit offended as organizers. We just wanted our customer to finally experience some fear!"
Noa: "You're right, Mr. Den. I did enjoy it. Let's go ride the Ferris wheel."
Noa turned and marched toward the exit in a huff.
Roy and the others followed her quickly.
Roy (waving): "See you, Mr. Den! I had a blast!"
Mr. Den waved back.
Mr. Den: "Come again! That Veyron group is something else."
Mr. Den's Staff: "They're famous, but I've never seen that white-haired guy with the blue streaks before. Is he new?"
Mr. Den: "I think so. Alright, back to work."
---
Now the Veyron team was at the top of the Ferris wheel, but the mood was a little awkward—Noa had been silent the entire ride.
Roy: "Still mad about earlier, Noa?"
Cris: "Totally. Look at that pouty face."
Noa: "Hmph."
Roy: "Okay, okay, we were wrong! We're sorry! Want some cake?"
Roy quickly offered the snack he bought earlier.
Noa (smiling): "Alright."
She accepted the cake.
Glen: "So, where are we headed next?"
Lyn: "I want to visit the LEGO booth! There are probably some cool sets to build!"
Glen: "What about you, Ken?"
Ken: "I'll go wherever you go, Glen. Not really feeling up for anything in particular."
Glen: "Alright, then maybe we'll stop by the comic shop next. Could be some cool new titles."
Everyone nodded—except Cris, who stayed silent.
---
That night, Ken quietly left the Veyron headquarters. He dashed through the alleyways of the city, unaware that the others were secretly following him, communicating through earpieces.
Roy: "Where's Ken going?"
Noa: "I don't know... kinda suspicious."
Glen: "I don't think he's a spy."
Back at HQ, Lyn was still listening in.
Lyn: "If he's really betraying us, it'd be pretty weird."
Cris: "Traitors can come from anywhere, Lyn."
They trailed Ken until he stopped in a familiar alley—the one where they had first found him.
Ken stood silently, placing his hand on the wall.
Ken: "Maybe next time…"
They all fell silent. Now they knew—Ken was simply waiting for his father to return.
Glen: "He's just hoping his dad will come back."
Roy: "Aw man… that's actually sad."
Noa: "I feel kinda guilty now…"
Lyn: "What's going on with Ken?"
Cris: "He's just waiting to be picked up by family."
Lyn said nothing. She stared at a faded photo in her hand, whispering softly,
Lyn: "Did you wait for me too, Zy?"
She rested the photo against her cheek as a tear fell.
---
Days passed. Ken was always tidying up, and the others saw him as the "neat" one. But he kept returning to that same alley… until eventually, he stopped.
Three weeks later, he no longer wandered out. He just lay on the couch, clutching a piece of paper and a pen.
The Veyron members had just finished training and approached him.
Roy: "Hey Ken, what's on your mind?"
Noa: "Don't tell me it's still your dad…"
Roy: "Come on, Ken, that's already—"
Suddenly, Lyn's voice broke through the intercom in a panic.
Lyn: "Guys! We've got trouble: Havoc's back! A huge army is coming through Netora's gates!"
Roy: "What?! That guy again..."
Noa: "No time. Let's move!"
They rushed out together—Guru Ven joining them.
Ahead stood Havoc's army—over a hundred troops made up of humans and skeletons.
Havoc: "Well, look who showed up... the Veyron crew."
Roy: "Surrender, Havoc, before we teach you a lesson."
Havoc: "Oh yeah? Try me."
Guru Ven: "So, you're Havoc?"
Havoc: "That's right. And you are...? A new Veyron?"
Noa: "Doesn't matter. Attack!"
The battle began.
Roy launched a fireball, burning the skeletons. Noa's water spheres smashed into enemy troops. Lyn and Cris fought with their weapons and powers.
Guru Ven approached Havoc and landed a powerful strike, knocking him down.
Havoc: "N-No...!"
Just as Guru Ven raised his staff—
CRISSHH!
He froze. His body turned to stone.
Havoc: "Ah... You've arrived."
