After my performance at Las Noches, you'd think I would've learned a lesson.
I didn't.
Not even close.
Because in Hueco Mundo — where there's nothing but sand, night, and death — it gets boring real fast. And when boredom sets in for someone like me… I do stupid things.
And today's stupidity came in the form of a female Adjuchas.
I don't know her name. Never asked. Never planned to.
But I'd seen her once near Las Noches — a humanoid Hollow with long, flowing hair, a sharp mask, and a powerful, cold aura that screamed "I'll kill you if you get too close."
Which, naturally, meant I had to follow her.
Because why not?
At first, it was easy. Being a Gillian means I'm ridiculously tall. Most Hollows see me coming a mile away. But I've had time to… practice my stalking.
I crouched low, my massive frame trying to blend with dunes and jagged rocks.

Every time she moved, I shuffled behind her, doing my best to stay out of sight.
She was fast. Moving through the wastelands like a blur, leaving trails of spiritual pressure in her wake. I couldn't keep up with sonido — never learned it — but my long legs meant one step covered half a field.
And she didn't seem to notice.
Or maybe she did.
And just didn't care about the idiot Gillian tailing her.
She met with other Adjuchas now and then. Silent, cautious exchanges. I never got close enough to hear what they said, but from the tense air and sharp glares, I could guess it wasn't friendly.
That's the thing about Hueco Mundo.
Even allies look like enemies.
Still, none of them noticed me. Or if they did, none bothered. I guess even powerful Adjuchas had better things to do than deal with some famous idiot Gillian.

I grinned inside my mask.
I didn't even know why I was doing this.
Maybe it was curiosity. Maybe it was boredom.
Or maybe I just liked defying logic — being a giant fool in a world where everyone took themselves too seriously.
Eventually, the female Adjuchas moved to the edge of a vast, skeletal forest of dead, twisted trees. The sky above stretched endlessly, that same eternal night hanging heavy over us.
She paused. Turned her head slightly, her sharp mask glinting in the dark.
And for the first time…
looked directly at me.
I froze.
A chill ran through my massive form. Not because of fear — no, I'd been beaten, blasted, and almost killed too many times to be scared by now. But because her gaze wasn't one of annoyance.
It was one of disbelief.
Like she was wondering how the hell this idiot had followed her for so long without dying.
She raised a hand — sharp claws glinting in the dark.
I braced for death.
But instead, she sighed. A long, tired sound that seemed to carry the weight of this dead world.
And without a word…
turned and left.
No attack. No warning. No killing blow.
She just left me there.
I stayed frozen for a moment before slumping onto the sand with a loud thud, stirring up a cloud of dust.

I laughed.
Not because I'd gotten away with it — but because even here, even now, I could still pull off something this stupid.
I didn't need plans.
I didn't need power.
I just needed to keep moving. Keep living. Keep breaking whatever rules this world tried to throw at me.
Because someday… even the sky of Hueco Mundo would remember the name of the idiot Gillian who refused to die.
