Chapter 20 - Chapter 20: The Silent Audience

Current EP: 13,700 / 1,000,000

After my daring climb-and-fall incident, I resumed my sacred mission:

Doing stupid things for EP.

This time?

Sand Angel.

Yup.

I lay down in the endless white sands of Hueco Mundo — all six stories of me — and flailed my massive arms and legs.

A giant, awkward, deformed sand angel formed under my hulking Gillian body.

I sat up, proud.

Grinning under my ridiculous hollow mask.

Then I felt it.

A presence.

No — five of them.

I turned my massive head slowly.

In the distance, a group of five Adjuchas stood there.

Just… watching.

Not attacking.

Not speaking.

Just standing.

Staring.

The weird thing was… these guys were leagues above most of the brainless Hollows.

Adjuchas were faster, smarter, deadlier.

Yet here they were, quietly observing me make a fool of myself.

I waved.

"GRROOH!"

(Translation: "YO!")

No reaction.

I thought maybe they hadn't seen my masterpiece.

So naturally, I did what any sentient Gillian would.

Cero Doodle Time.

I raised a clawed finger and fired off a weak, wobbly red Cero beam into the sand, carving out a giant, terrible drawing of a stick figure.

Was it supposed to be me?

Maybe.

Hard to tell.

I looked back.

Still staring.

No one moved.

It was honestly kind of unsettling.

Five Adjuchas, silent as statues, watching my every stupid move like some bizarre art exhibit.

I scratched my mask.

"Grrooh…?"

(Translation: "You guys good?")

No reply.

Not even a twitch.

I shrugged and went back to work.

Next up?

Sandcastle.

Using my massive claws, I scooped up mounds of sand and stacked them into a lopsided, sagging tower.

One of the turrets fell over.

I laughed.

A loud, echoing Gillian laugh.

The Adjuchas didn't budge.

It was weird.

Even for me.

But hey — as long as they weren't eating me, I wasn't complaining.

Maybe they thought I was cursed.

Maybe they thought I was insane.

Maybe they were just here for the free entertainment.

I didn't care.

More dumb things meant more EP.

And I had a million-point goal to hit.

Let them watch.
