Lily didn't answer and chose to remain silent. Eli understood that she had no intention of speaking now. So, he told her to go to sleep "Go to sleep now, I'll be on call."
"Hmm, put your phone next to you, you can sleep too," Lily finally uttered a sentence.
Eli chuckled and hummed "Hmm"
They both kept their phones beside them and slowly drifted off to sleep by listening to sounds of their slow breathing like a lullaby.
It was already dawn when Eli woke up. He looked at the phone beside him which was still connected in the call and a smile curled on his lips.
He didn't get out of bed and lie down on it. An hour later, Lily's alarm rang. She woke up groggily and tried to turn off the alarm so she could go back to sleep. But, before she could fall back asleep, Eli's voice echoed. "Are you awake?"
Lily was startled by Eli's voice and looked around her room. She didn't see Eli in her room. After she came out of her fuzziness, she remembered the call she had made before falling asleep.
Eli didn't get any response from her, so he called her "Lily?"
"Hmm, I woke up. When did you wake up?" Lily didn't say she was startled and asked him.
"About an hour ago. Did you sleep well?"
"Hmm, I slept well." Lily answered him with a smile.
"Okay, get up and freshen up. I'll be there at 9 AM."
"Hmm, I'll wait for you. Eat something before you come pick me up." Lily told him.
Eli agreed with a smile. "Okay. Then, bye."
"Hmm" Lily nodded and called his name and said before hung up the call "Eli, Good morning."
The call was disconnected before Eli could answer. A smile flickered on his lips as he got out of bed and went to take a shower.
Lily also threw off her blankets aside and went to take a shower to get ready for the day with a smile.
After some time, she came out of the shower and put on her normal clothes, because they planned to do some shopping before the marriage registration.
Lily came out of her room and went into the living room. Her father was reading the newspaper on the sofa. Her mother was in the kitchen. Breakfast was already prepared. They were waiting for Lily.
"Good morning, dad" Lily greeted him.
"Good morning, my princess." Mark greeted her and stretched out his hand to call, "Come here."
Lily went to sit next to him. He looked at his daughter adoringly and patted her gently on the head " It seems like yesterday you were born and held in my arms. But it has already been 20 years. You are already an adult, and today you are getting married. I hope you will always be happy."
"Hmm, is that why father is getting so emotional in the morning again?" Selina replied, looking at the scene in front of her from the kitchen doorway.
"Hahaha, Dad. It seems like you gave Mom a chance to tease you." Lily whispered to him.
"Hmm" Mark nodded at his daughter and quickly denied his wife, "No, my wife. You misunderstood something. I'm not getting emotional, I'm just talking to my princess about how the days have passed so quickly." He looked at his daughter and asked, "Right, my princess?"
Lily played with her father and nodded her head vigorously at her mother, "Yes, Mom. We're just talking about time."
"Oh really? Stop fooling me and let's have breakfast." Selina muttered, calling them to breakfast. "How can someone say the same thing every day and still get emotional? Still the same drama."
Lily put her hand over her mouth to control her laughter.
Well, it was Mark's routine to say a few words to Lily every morning and get emotional. Today, she's getting married was added. Yesterday, she went out early. So, she missed it.
