The three were gathered before the gate, intending to push it open.
"Let's try opening the Testing Gate," Gon says.
"Testing Gate?"
Loki walks past Gon, looking at the massive Testing Gate. There are seven gates:
Gate 1: 2 tons each side (4 tons total)
Gate 2: 8 tons
Gate 3: 16 tons
Gate 4: 32 tons
Gate 5: 64 tons
Gate 6: 128 tons
Gate 7: 256 tons
The Trial Gate is also called the Netherworld Gate. For those with ill intent, the Zoldyck gate is indeed a gate to the Netherworld.
Leorio approaches. "To enter the Zoldyck estate, you must pass through these gates. The first gate is four tons. We've trained hard, and we should be able to open it today."
Leorio looks at Loki, expecting a surprised reaction. Loki remains calm, his gaze steady, showing no surprise.
"You…" Leorio says, frustrated. "You're not surprised? A four-ton gate!"
"Since I'm here, I prepared. I know about the Zoldyck family and the Testing Gate. It's common sense to prepare information after becoming a Hunter!"
Leorio's face twitches. Common sense!
Loki ignores him and places his hand on the gate. This is a good test of his strength.
Gon and the others watch. Zebro, the gatekeeper, observes Loki.
'Based on this kid's earlier performance, he can probably open at least two gates. If he uses Nen, maybe more.'
Gon and the others are curious. They haven't seen Loki's full strength. This is a chance to see his true power and how far they are from him. Leorio hopes Loki fails, allowing him to feel better about himself.
Loki takes a deep breath. He won't use Nen, wanting to test his pure strength. He pushes.
Boom boom boom!
The gate opens instantly. It's not the first or second gate; it's the fourth gate!
Gon and the others are stunned. They expected Loki to open the first or second gate, but he opened the fourth, surpassing even Killua.
"Loki's strength is amazing," Gon says, disheartened. He's still trying to open the first gate.
'This…'
"No way!!! It's broken, right? Old man, is the gate broken?" Leorio can't believe Loki's strength.
Zebro is sweating. "The Trial Gate never breaks. The only explanation is that he opened it with pure strength."
Zebro wipes his sweat. "That strength is on par with Master Zeno, only slightly weaker."
Kurapika realizes Loki seems relaxed, as if he didn't use his full strength.
He opened the fourth gate without using full power, meaning he has at least 64 tons of strength.
Bang bang!
Loki pushes again, opening the gates fully. The mechanisms inside make a loud noise. Kurapika believes Loki didn't use his full strength.
"Shall we go in?" Loki asks. Gon clenches his fist, smiling.
"No, I can open the gate myself. I want to enter Killua's house on my own, not relying on others."
"Okay. I'll wait for you on the other side."
Loki enters. The gate slowly closes. Gon sits down, breathing heavily.
"Loki is amazing!"
Kurapika nods. "That strength isn't achieved through short-term training. He must have worked incredibly hard."
"I feel like a twelve-year-old! Kids these days are terrifying!" Leorio says.
Gon takes off his straps and stands before the gate.
"Gon…" Kurapika and Leorio exchange glances.
Gon pushes through the gate, falling to the ground.
"It hurts…"
"We did it…"
Leorio and Kurapika hold the gate open. They only opened the first gate, but it's impressive, showing their talent and potential.
Suddenly, a powerful aura envelops them. They feel immense pressure, their bodies trembling. They look ahead…
Beyond the gate is a huge figure—the enormous hound, known as Mike. Even Gon, who usually gets along with animals, feels terrified. He knows San Mao can't be reasoned with. Its cold gaze is like unmelting ice.
Mike bares its teeth, ready to attack. Loki stands five meters away, head down. His aura is even more terrifying than Mike's.
"Ants dare to stare at a lion? Foolish creatures."
