Chapter 19 - HHES: Chapter 19

"Netero asked me to teach this kid a lesson," Zeno said.

"Father will do it?" Silva stared at Zeno, slightly dazed.

Zeno nodded.

"Father's involvement… who is he…"

"An ordinary kid from a small place," Zeno said, squinting at Silva. "About Killua's age."

"What? Father, did you say… Killua's age?"

Silva hadn't paid attention when Zeno called him a kid, as Zeno might call a 30-year-old a kid. But this kid is actually a kid.

Silva stared at Zeno, stunned. Netero taking a student is surprising, especially a twelve-year-old, indicating immense potential. It's even more incredible that Zeno needs to deal with this kid.

After the surprise, Silva became interested in Loki.

"Father, what's Netero's purpose?"

"Netero's purpose is easy to guess. Geniuses grow faster but are more prone to arrogance. That old geezer probably wants me to teach his new disciple a lesson!"

Silva smiled, his eyes turning cold.

"Then let me test the Hunter Association Chairman's disciple!"

This proposal made Zeno look at Silva intently. Zeno sensed Silva's ulterior motives.

He waved his hand. "Go! Bring him before me. Let's liven up my old bones and get that old geezer's money."

Silva was surprised. "He's paying?"

"Hmph! Does he think he can order me around without paying?"

"But this task is more tiring than killing someone. I have to teach the kid a lesson without injuring him. Otherwise, Netero will come looking for trouble."

This was both a complaint about Netero and instructions for Silva. Zeno didn't want Silva to injure his disciple.

Silva nodded, understanding. He left.

'Netero's disciple… troublesome. My old bones have to be bothered.'

As he spoke, a fierce light shot from Zeno's eyes—not the gaze of an aging man.

Down the mountain, after arguing with Canary, Gon's temper flared. Canary drew a line on the ground.

"Cross this line, and I'll attack. Please leave!"

Gon stared at Canary. Leorio and Kurapika were about to speak, but Gon stopped them. With a cold face, Gon walked towards Canary.

This is a familiar scene. Gon and Killua's friendship is enviable. But Loki felt this resembled a rich girl falling for a poor boy. He didn't want to waste time. Completing the system mission and getting the reward was his priority.

He stopped Gon.

"Gon, wait!"

A bright smile appeared on Loki's face. His calm tone didn't waver. But this expression and tone made Gon feel like a huge mountain appeared before him, unable to resist. Loki's words carried irresistible authority.

After stopping Gon, Loki turned to Canary, still smiling faintly, and walked forward.

The wind shifted. A sudden gust of cold wind blew, spreading a chilling feeling.

'This person…' Canary's eyes widened. She gripped her cane.

"Should I attack?"

Standing on the line Canary drew, Loki's white cloak billowed in the wind. His calm gaze fixed on Canary.

'Why… why can't I move?'

Canary sweated, her eyes trembling. She wanted to attack but couldn't. It felt like being in a whirlpool, her strength drained.

This was due to Loki's imposing aura and his Nen. Loki's Nen enveloped Canary, using In, making her unaware of the Nen vortex.

Tap tap

Canary, unable to withstand Loki's presence, staggered back. Her breathing quickened, sweat on her forehead.

'I… I'm no match for him. If I attack… I'll die!'

Loki's smile was no longer warm but chillingly cold. The killing intent was palpable. This wasn't just felt by Canary. Gon and the others felt the oppressive atmosphere. If Loki targeted them, they'd feel the same.

Kikyo and Kalluto rushed down, seeing Loki and the others. They were close, but Kikyo stopped, Kalluto behind her.

"Mother!"

Kalluto looked at Kikyo. Kikyo gazed into the distance, seeing a terrifying Nen surge.

"This… is Killua's friend?"

The Nen surge disappeared quickly. Kikyo looked ahead. "With Killua's strength, he can't handle this person. This person can't stay near Killua!"

She started walking, but her electronic eye flashed.

"Husband, I…"

"What? Why?"

"What? No! I won't allow Killua…"

Silva coldly interrupted.

"Come back. Don't interfere."

Beep beep beep!

The call ended. Kikyo's bandaged face twisted, veins bulging.

"Mother!" Kalluto was worried.

"Let's go back!"

Kikyo turned and ran.

"Everyone… this is the crucial time to train Killua."

"Mother, will Killua be taken away?"
