"I want to be a Shinobi."
Lumian didn't even need to ponder over the choices. He had always planned on being a Shinobi ever since he found himself within Naruto. There was to much risk on being a normal merchant without powers in a world of super-powered ninjas. He would be an idiot if he had chosen the other option.
Hiruzen set down the pack of documents that he held in his hands when Lumian entered the office.
"Good. I thought that you would make that choice, so I had already made preparations."
With that, he reached into a cabinet in his desk and pulled out a set of documents.
Suddenly, a man with a grey vest and animal mask appeared next to the desk of the Hokage.
Lumian looked at the man and instantly recognized what ninja faction he belonged to.
The ruined potential ninjas: "Anbu black ops"

Hiruzen turned to the Anbu ninja and handed him the set of documents.
"Give this to the Academy head instructor. All of the student's information should be in it."
"Yes Lord Hokage," the man responded.
The Anbu ninja took the set of documents and promptly vanished.
As Lumian was staring at the spot where the anbu ninja just was, the hokage turned to face Lumian.
He let out a warm smile and spoke:
"Amon, you are now considered a fellow citizen of the Hidden Leaf Village. If you graduate the academy, you will successfully be able to call yourself a Shinobi.....
Now that you are one of us, there's no need to be so formal. The Hidden Leaf Village will accept you and aid in your ambitions."
Hiruzen let out the aura of a kind elder.
Someone you could rely on to speak with you comfortably.
Lumian looked at Hiruzen and slightly curved his lips upwards. He then bowed and said:
"Thank you for giving me this chance, Gramps!"

Hiruzen's expression froze as the corner of mouth twitched. After all even though Hiruzen let out the aura of a kind elder, he was currently not as old as the canon timeline of Naruto.
Lumian had noticed this and already figured out that he wasn't in the period where Naruto was the main character.
Lumian pondered inwardly, If Hiruzen isn't as old as he appears right now, what timeline of Naruto am I in?
He doesn't seem that young, so it can't be Minato's generation.....
Just then, Lumian got his answer.
After recovering, Hiruzen continued. "You can start at the academy next week. I'll give you keys to your new living quarters, and some allowance so that you could make yourself comfortable within the village.
I'm going to assign you a guide, so that you won't get lost and find yourse-"

Just then a loud yell echoed in the hallway outside the hokage office.
"I told you that I was helping a Grandma lift the groceries and get to her house! Thats why I was late!" ????? said.
"You brat! That's the 15th excuse you gave me since you started at the academy and I'm not buying that bullcrap!" ??????? said.
The door to the Hokage office slammed open and a tall man with a chunin vest, held a small boy who wore orange goggles.
Lumian instantly recognized the boy.
The biggest simp crashout in history. "Obito Uchiha"
The man walked up to the hokage desk and dropped the boy on the ground.
"LORD HOKAGE! This boy's been late to every lecture that I gave since the start of the school year! Its already our second year and his grades are absolutely horrendous!" as he pointed at the boy.
"I'm telling you the truth you big fool!" Obito said as he rubbed his head as slight tear marks appeared at the corner of his eyes.
It wasn't very nice for someone to barge into the hokage office like this. However, the academy instructor had just about enough with Obito's shenanigans and was ready to crash out.
Sarutobi sighed and held a hand to his forehead. He leaned back on his chair as he looked at Obito on the floor and was just about to say something.

Just then a lightbulb seemed to go off on the Hokage's head. He looked at Lumian, looked at Obito, and looked back at Lumian.
Lumian: "....."
" Gramps don't tell me your going to do what I think your going to do..." he thought.
Sarutobi let out a loud cough and spoke to Obito.
"Obito, your behavior is unacceptable. I expect a young sapling of the will of fire to do better other than fool around such as yourself."
"Bu-!" Obito said.
"No excuses," said the hokage. Of course, Hiruzen Sarutobi already knew that Obito wasn't fooling around and was in fact, helping others. But after looking at the academy instructor who looked like was going to explode, he decided to show a little discipline.
He addressed the academy instructor:
"Toka, you're dismissed. Return to your class. I will deal with this."
The Academy instructor let out a deep breath and closed his eyes. After a while he bowed in respect. "Yes Lord Hokage," he responded.
After Toka walked out the door, Hiruzen once again spoke to Obito.
"As punishment I want you to do something for me... Can you see the young boy next to you?"
Obito looked to his left and just now seemed to notice the black haired boy standing up formally.
"This is Amon Tsuchi," said Hiruzen. He's new to the village and is going to be your classmate starting next week.
I want you to be his guide and show him around the village."
"Huh??????" Obito said.
"Why do I have guide this guy? I have other things to do!"
"Now Now, Obito," the Hokage responded with a sigh. "Like I said, I told you it was your punishment. Now off you go," the Hokage waved his hand up and down telling Obito to leave.
Obito let out an angry gruff. He stood up from his seating position on the floor and walked towards the door.
Obito looked at Lumian who was still at his orignial spot and yelled out, "Well?? Cmon!"
Afterwards, Obito left the office and closed the door behind him.
Lumian had entertainingly watched the scene unfold before him. He felt like he watching a filler episode on Naruto.
After snapping out of his thoughts, before leaving to follow Obito, he once more bowed to the Hokage.
Hiruzen responded with a hearty smile.
Afterwards, Lumian also left the office.

Hiruzen watched Lumian walk out the door and sighed before leaning back on his chair.
He lit his pipe on his mouth and closed his eyes after let out a cloud of smoke.
After a moments's pause, Hiruzen opened his eyes.
".....I'm a genius," he said.
