"Hey, you're finally awake?"
The nurse's voice was light, almost teasing, as she stood beside the bed, her clipboard in hand. The sterile smell of antiseptic hung in the air, mixing with the faint scent of something floral.
She had sharp azure blue eyes, with a shapen nose and rosy lips. Compared to other girls he saw back at his university, Lumian couldn't deny that she looked pretty.
Noticing how she had long brown hair, and remembering what happened before he blacked out, he suspected that she saved him.
"Were you the one who saved me?" Lumian said.
The Nurse smiled and walked up to him. After checking the iv that was connected to him she responded.
"I was able to stop the bleeding, but your body has been through some stress." She said.
"It would be best if don't push your body and rest."
. . .
She noted something down on her clipboard and asked a question as Lumian watched her.
" Do you feel any pain, any issues?"
Lumian, currently not feeling anything rather than a sore feeling around his body, put his hand on his head after remembering how much blood was seeping out.
He felt bandages cleanly and tightly wrapped around his forehead. He also noticed that the arms he rose were also bandaged. Lumian suspected that if he were to lift the blanket, he would find his legs to be bandages as well.
After finishing inspecting himself, he looked at the nurse and shook his head left and right.
The nurse sighed and out of character of what you would assume she should act based on her appearance, she let out a hearty laugh.
"That's good! I was worried you'd had some long-lasting effects! You should have seen what you looked like when I first saw you. You looked like a corpse!" She said as her lips stretched upwards.
Lumian dumbly stared at her as she continued laughing.
"Ahem," she coughed. "Someone's going to see you in a moment. Just remember to be respectful, after all, you'll be meeting an incredibly important person!" she said.
She walked towards the door in the corner of the room and added, "Don't leave the room, there's going to be further examination just to make sure, well.... not that you could with those injuries….."
Then she closed the door.
. . .
Lumian: "…"
He stared blankly at the door that the nurse just left through. Then, Lumian sighed and leaned back to rest his head on the pillow.
He recalled the fire, burning sulfur, and ash corpses that he previously woke up to. Now that he was currently on a bed in an unknown place, he didn't know what to think.
What happened to cause me to suddenely appear at this place? I had just fallen asleep in preparation to read Circle of Inevitability the next day….
Lumian pondered and recollected his memories. I definitely didn't get hit by truck-kun so I wasn't isekaid…. There wasn't a cute elf girl that met me when I woke up so I definetly wasn't summoned…..
"Now that I think about it didn't I have a wierd drea-"
. . .
Suddenely, Lumian felt a sharp pang in his head, which caused him to clutch it in pain.
"Ummm, Nurse? I think I'm feeling those long-lasting effects you warned about," Lumian lampooned.
It felt like someone was taking a hot nail and was continuously hammering it into his skull. He was just about to call out for help when he felt distinct memories emerge in his head.
After the pain went away Lumian widened his eyes in shock. Distinct words appeared in his mind:
"Land of fire….. Hokage... Merchant Caraven... Ryo Coin..."
Lumian should have been shocked by this sudden turn of events. He should have his mouth wide open to think that he was suddenely in the world of Naruto.
In Lumian's thoughts, the world of Naruto wasn't really that bad. Even though there was the occasional Great Ninja wars, supowered ninjas moving at the speed of light, and casual samurai-wearing maniacs who dropped freakin meteors onto the battlefield, it was just like another world that had super-natural aspects.
It was luck. As long as you were lucky to be born into a powerful clan or be born with outstanding chakra reserves, you could theoretically choose to lay low and grow your power and not take much risks to go on dangerous missions.
Although, there would be an issue if you were born into the Uchiha clan or happened to be enlisted the Great Shinobi war...
He was lucky to not be in any other world after all. Imagine he found himself within the walls of Maria in Attack on titan. Or even worse imagine if he himself within Warhammer. I think it would be best if you ended yourself right then and there…
. . .
No, what shocked him the most was the name that appeared in his memory.
"Amon"
"Mother-fucking Amon."
He knew that he wasn't in his original body based on how small his body seemed. He thought he must of have somehow shrunken when coming to this world. Now it seemed like he was in another body and the previous identity of the body he was currently in…. Was Amon.
Amon Tsuchi, was an 8-year old boy born within the borders of the land of fire. His family had a prominent standing within the merchant faction, and were often traveling to trade different items that they would obtain.
Their caravan of merchants were attacked by an unknown group of shinobi and were wiped out.
The previous person of this body must have died in that attack, and somehow Lumian found myself within the boy's body….
. . .
Lumian let one deep breath after another. Then after pondering for a moment, he lifted the blanket off of himself and tried to stand up.
*Step*
It wasn't as painful as before so it was doable. Using the Iv stand as a support stand, he walked up to the window.
There he looked at his reflection that permeated from the window.
Black Eyes that seemed deep and mysterious to the point where if one could look closely into it, it would be described as a bottomless abyss.
Long, black hair that gave him a refined and noble appearance
Lips that curved upwards to instantly alert the Middle School teacher that he was a trouble maker and make him sit in front of the classroom.
. . .
Lumian slowly raised his hand to touch his face. After looking at it for a few moments he focused his attention to the environment outside the window.
Traditional Japanese style houses with cirved, tilted roofs, sliding doors, and wooden structures were standing upright. Next to them buildings that were cylindrical or rounded shapes, with layered, multi-story layouts could also be seen.
In the distinct distance one could see a mountain that seemed to loom over the village. On the mountain 3 faces could be seen carved neatly as they stared down at the village below.
. . .
Lumian was currently shaking when suddenely he heard the door open in his room. Looking behind him, he saw what the figure at the doorway looked like.
A white, red-linned robe and a confident stature of a figure that carried the aura of leaders. On his head a crown that had white fabric that went to its side only leaving a space where the face could be seen.
On the crown-like hat that the person carried a symbol could be seen.
"Fire Shadow"
Lumian stared at the person as he stared back.
Once again Lumian thought in his mind.
"Ah shit."
