Gregory always liked a good fight from his enemies when they were being destroyed. He enjoys fighting so much, that he deliberately got into fights with other kids as a kid even for the faintest mistake.
His fighting addiction lasted until the Fighter Arena 2024 came to the market. After experiencing the game at his friend's request, he got addicted to it. He then went on to fight people in it.
But his fighting attitude diminished a little when he got to know that his character could be destroyed. Even after knowing that he didn't stop his habit, instead, he became more careful of his approach.
He started to first discern his opponent's threat level before jumping into a fight. If it is too dangerous he would run away, if it isn't he would enjoy the fight like his last one.
After seeing how he fights, people started to call him a coward and a person with no honor but he didn't care. He never cared about honor or pride, all he cared about was enjoying the fight he get to experience.
This was exactly the idea when Mc divided down to the top of the wall searching for Derek. The dark cape spread like wings when jumped down, to the eyes of the soldiers he looked like a giant bat made out of nothing but darkness.
Gregory gracefully landed in front of Derek, all eyes were on him for a moment. To the terrified soldiers, he looked like a devil that crawled out from hell. His dark cape fluttered in the wind like wings of a terrifying monster. His face paint was similar to exactly how they pictures demons in their mind. His dark red eyes planted fear in everyone who gazed into them.
As soon as his feet touched the floor, Gregory introduced himself while bowing with his right hand crossed.
"Greetings, humans."
After saying that, he met the gaze of Derek, and a smile crept onto his face.
"Greetings, Commander Derek."
Derek was shocked by the fact that the demon knew his name. He hardened his gaze and asked.
"How do you know my name? Who are you?"
There was another thing Gregory loved as much as fighting, and that was roleplaying villains. He loved villains so much that he once beat a bullied kid to the brink of death while cosplaying Ultron. This obsession was also the reason he chose the cunning, evil vampire over the graceful, honoured dragon.
Gregory chuckled a little as he started to introduce himself while doing the famous villain pose.
"My name is Dracula, I am the one who was born from the darkness and commands it."
Then a mad grin crept up to his face as he activated one of his skills.
"Aura"
[Aura [Common] = Turns your mana into a mental attack that can instil fear in the hearts of others. This only works for enemies that have a lower rank than the user. They must also have weak minds.]
Suddenly some of the soldiers fell on their knees with fear. They kept looking at the terrifyingly strong demon who was releasing a terrifying aura. Some of them even started to pray to the god they believed in.
Derek looked around him in alert.
"What are you guys doing? Pull yourself together, we have a demon to kill."
Even though Derek was loud enough for all of them to hear, none of them heard his ramblings. I knew all of them were looking at Dracula, in fear for their lives. Dracula looked at them with his blood-red eyes and leaned toward them. Then he uttered a single word that cut through Derek's command like butter.
"RUN"
As soon as the terrified humans heard that, they sprang into action. They threw their swords over and ran toward the stairs with panicked screams and tears streaming down their faces. Their hearts were filled with utter despair.
As the tenth of his division ran with their tails between their legs, Derek activated his commander skill.
"Soldiers, stand your ground."
His unique level of skill easily beat Grey's common skill and stopped half of them in their tracks. The other half was already out of the skill range. The other half picked up their weapons like they were in a trance and pointed them toward Gregory.
Then Derek turned toward Gregory and drew his sword as well.
"I ask you a question, demon. How do you know my name?"
Gregory glanced at the poor idiot and covered his mouth while suppressing a chuckle.
"That is not something a dead man should know."
As soon as he heard those words, Derek's anger started to rise. He snarled at Gregory.
"Oh yeah, we will see who will be dead when this is all over."
Then he tried to order his soldiers, but his attention was suddenly drawn to the noise of a ship marching toward the city.
Derek looked at the flying ship in confusion and then looked at Dracula.
"Where is it going?"
Gregory stared at Derek's eyes with a creepy smile.
"It's going to finish the job."
When he said that, the soldier beside Derek started to panic. One of them cautiously walked toward Derek and whispered.
"Sir, should we follow the ship?"
Gregory immediately replies.
"No, Nobody moves. Your mission is to assist me in killing this demon."
After saying that, he looked at the demon and said with a furious expression.
"Dracula, you ruthless hellspawn. I swear by the lord of Light that I will kill you right here and right now. Then I will destroy your flying vessels and save my people."
Dracula smiled mockingly.
"Like you saved your wife?"
Derek's heart was instantly fired with hatred. He lunged at the tall demon with his sword raised.
"You fucker, Soldiers kill him. One with the wind."
Suddenly his speed increased substantially and he appeared infront of the towering demon in an instant and strike with his sword.
"Instant teleportation.
Derek's sword hit the stone floor while Gregory appeared behind a nearby soldier. He grabbed the soldier and immobilised him. Then he bit deep into the neck of the poor guy and started sucking the blood out of the guy in a frenzied manner.
All the soldiers' friends looked at him in horror as their friend lost all his blood in a matter of minutes. He then stopped biting into the frail dried dead body and through it to the abyss below. He licked his lips in disgust.
"Bitter."
