Chapter 19 - Battle Of The Iron Mountain 3

Gregory was on top of the massive behemoth of a flying pirate ship. He has traded his previous clothes for a Black body suit that clad his body and a black cape.

When Gregory wears the Dracula cape, the black body suit automatically covers his body. This black body suit inherits the same level of defence as the cape.

His face was covered in white face paint, and the surface around the eyes was painted n black. The lips and a rising smile that begins from the lips were also painted in black.

Gregory summoned a gold-plated mirror from the inventory.

[Mirror of the foresight [Divine] = This mirror tells you the future. Be warned, relying too much on the cunning mirror will put fate against you.]

'I shouldn't reveal who I am right after coming here. So I will use the Dracula bundle to mask my identity.'

He took a long breath and looked in the mirror.

The mirror reflected his new look and there was nothing strange about it. But after a few seconds, his reflection started to smile at him menacingly. Its laugh grin turned more maniacal as its eyes radiated cluelessness.

'You want to now the future?'

Gregory sighed and looked straight into the reflection's eyes.

'Yes.'

The mirror smirked and whispered in his mind again. 'There are consequences for the people who play with fate.'

Gregory shrugged. 'I don't care, just tell me.'

The reflection cuckled.

'So be it, I will be watching you very carefully from now on until fate comes after you.'

After saying that, the cunning reflections told him everything he needed to know to win. It went so much into detail that it told him the exact number of mortar shots he should use and where he wanted to achieve the result he wanted from this fight.

"Load The Motars."

Gregory said while staring at the fortress walls. Han, who was beside him, shouted to his skeleton screw.

"LOAD THE MORTARS."

As soon as the voice echoed in the deck, the skeletons sprang to action. Most of the skeletons positioned themselves in the sections they are divided into.

The crew members who were responsible for Reloading the mortars sprung into action as they loaded the shells into the massive medieval mortar.

As soon as they gave the signal that the thing was ready to fire, Han came near Gregory and asked in a low voice.

"Where should we fire, Maaster? The walls?"

Gregory lingered for a minute and willed in his mind for the night to appear, and it did. The world that was bathed in the shimmering sunlight silently suddenly turned black and dark.

The people inside the walls gasped at the suuden turn of events. He prayed The soldiers looked toward the sky with bleak expressions on their faces, fear slowly eating their hearts.

Derek looked toward the ship with a tense expression.

'What kind of a monster are we fighting against?'

Han looked at his unresponsive master and asked again.

"Master, the shots are loaded. If you give the order we will fire...Where should we fire, master?"

Gregory lingered for a moment and turned toward han.

"Light up the Church."

Han nodded and turned toward the mortar crew.

"Aim toward the church."

After hearing that, the crew turned the massive weapon in that direction. As soon as it did,, Hanscreameded while lowering his hand.

"Fire."

Massive vibrations ran through the deck of the ship as a crimson ball as bright as the sun shot toward the distant fortress. IT streaked the throught the air with terrifying speed.

When it moved over the sky, the land below it was lit up. It was like a crimson sun had risen into the sky. The dweller of the iron mountains watched as the crimson ball of destruction came toward them with terrifying speed.

The people who were laughing and chatting stopped laughing, the people who were praying stopped praying, and the knights checked whether their armour was tightened as some people cast defensive spells around them.

The silence overtook the once bustling street as everybody hoped in their hearts for the Holy barrier to hold. The Crimson sphere came closer and closer like a falling star.

Suddenly, Derek took himself out of the trance he was in and hurriedly cast a defensive spell on him. Then he glanced at the city where his beautiful wife was waiting for him.

But it was already too late, crushing everyone's hope. The mortar shot easily tore a hole through the barrier and landed on the city centre where the church had been.

Suddenly, a flash enveloped everything in sight as the exposition spread through the city centre, the dockyard and toward the city after destroying the upper sanctuary.

The Harvind's apple still held out some of the fire inside even though it was of lower rank. But most of the explosion still travelled through it and boilde the observable sea into nothingness.

The soldiers and the civilians looked at the destruction in front of them with breathing hearts. The upper sanctuary, the lower sanctuary part that is close to the ocean, and the city centre were enveloped in crimson fires as only ash remained.

Not even one of the people has survived the terrible blast to even scream in pain.

Derek looked at the fires with terrified and sad eyes.

'Catalina'

But before he could move, a massive shadow enveloped his entire surroundings. From the moon's light, he could tell what it was. He looked up to see the flying ship hovering about the fortress wall after tearing through it.

As soon as the mortar shot was hit, Gregory ordered the Han to accelerate to near the barrier and use a ram to tear through it. Han Happily obeyed every single one of them.

Right now they were hovering over the stone wall.

Gregory ordered Han to take command and looked down from the edge of the ship. There, he could see Derek looking at them with Anger, despair and uneasiness.

He smirked and jumped down.

'I hope that mirror is right about you. So, don't disappointed me Derek.'
