Chapter 10 - Let's Go Check It Out

Apologize to him."

Sarah said while looming above her father like a strict classroom teacher. Father was bowing toward MC while kneeling on the floor. While his head pointed at the floor he said.

"I am sorry, Lord Jol Atir Khan." Sarah stomped her foot on the floor and said in a furious tone.

"His name Is Jal Atar Kaliel."

"I am so sorry Lord Jal Atar Kaliel."

Gregory looked at the kneeling figure and scratched the back of his head. Then he said in a sheepish tone.

"It's alright, You don't have to bow, you know."

Both of them looked at him intensely and said in unison.

"NO"

Then they both looked at each other in shock and glanced at him again. Then Sarah said in her calm tone.

"You saved both me and my dad. For that, we are eternally grateful to you…..No, we should be."

Gregory looked at the girl again and said with an even tone.

"Well, If that's what you want, you are free to do as you please."

He then turned around and glanced at the entrance of the cave and said in a serious tone.

"What should we do?"

Sarah glanced at him and asked seriously.

"What do you mean?"

He grew impatient and said In an even tone.

"I mean, we have killed the wolf who tried to kill you and then we even rescued your father. Where should we go? What else is there to do?"

She glanced at him for a little and then turned thoughtful for a moment.

"I mean, I have never thought about that. Before this whole ordeal happened we were fleeing the kingdom to empire."

Gregory stared at her again.

"Okay, then it's decided we are going to the empire."

After hearing that, Sarah looked down for a moment and said in an even tone.

"But its not an easy thing to do."

Gregory frowned.

"What do you mean?"

She struggled to say the next words carefully. After a while of thinking it through, she said with a serious tone.

"Empire is renowned for being cruel to the people of the kingdom. There was one time they attacked a kingdom's village and turned ever alive."

What Gregory heard didn't disturb him that much, but when he imagined what happened in his mind, a shiver ran through his body.

"So what should we do?" Gregory asked, clueless.

"Well we should-"

Suddenly a woman's scream resounded through the darkness of the cave. Three people inside it looked to the entrance of the cave with tense faces.

"What the hell was that?"

"A woman?"

"She is getting attacked?"

All three of them voiced their opinion at the same time. With tense faces, the three looked at each other. With a tense face, Sarah was the first to speak.

"We should go and check it out."

Her father looked at her in bewilderment.

"What are you talking about, why would you deliberately go to a place where a terrifying scream like that came?"

She glanced at her dad and rolled her eyes. Then she pointed toward Gregory and said in a relaxed tone.

"But we have him now, He is probably the strongest person in the entire world."

Her father looked at Gregory and said in an amused tone.

"Come on, daughter, I know you are confident of your ability, but to be this delusional is insane."

Sarah's father said while staring at her like staring at a dumb person. When she saw the smugness on his face, her anger started to boil for a while, but then she shrugged and pointed toward him and said wamusementement in his eyes.

"Oh yeah, you know my divine sk l, right? So what would Lord Jal Atar Kaliel say when I ask him what his class and rank are."

Father shrugged and waved his hand. Then he said with dismissiveness.

"I don't know. He is probably a Special Saint."

A mischievous grin spread across her face as she listened to her father. Then she turned around and asked Gregory sincerely.

"Is it okay if I order you this time to show my father your rank and level?"

Gregory looked at her confusingly. Then he smiled and said in a low voice.

"Of course, You can."

Gregory was happy with this turn of events because from the way she addressed him and how she asked his permission to use her skill on him, he was sure that she saw him as an ally rather than a stranger. He has to make her think like that more.

She then smiled back at him and said in a soft voice.

"Lord Jal atar k-"

"Just call me Gregory," he said a little annoyed. Hearing that name from time to time only gonna embarrassed him more.

She stuttered and sai again. "O-Okay, Lord Gregory. Name your class and rank."

As soon as she said that Gregory's mouth opened without his intention. "My Rank is Divine and My Class is God."

He said with an indifferent look on his face, and his words left Sarh's dad utterly shocked. With a shocked expression on his face, he muttered without thinking.

"You really are a Divine God but how is it possible?"

Gregory looked at him with an even expression and said.

"I mean your daughter is the one who summoned me. Considering she has a divine skill in her, it shouldn't be a surprise that she could summon someone like me."

As soon as he said that, Sarah's father looked at him and shook his head.

"It doesn't matter if she has a divine skill or not. Her rank as a summoner ios onl;y coomon. She could hardly summon unique creatures instead of divine ones. The only way she could summon a divine creature is if she became a god, but even after that, it is a very small chance."

Gregory became confused.

"So how did she summon me?"

As soon as he said that, he turned around and looked at the staff that was residing in Sara's arm. He then turned around and looked at Gregory again.

"I think I know what happened-

Before he could complete the sentence, another painful scream resounded through the cage. Suddenly, Sara ran forward, passing both of them into the entrance.

"We could talk about these things. After now, we should look where that scream came from."
