[8:00 AM]
After breakfast, you stuffed the explosive tags and your suitcase into the backpack, told Granny Yukina you'd be training in the morning and fishing by the river in the afternoon, then left the orphanage.
[9:00 AM]
You arrived at a secluded training ground where grass had begun to overtake the cracked earth. With practiced ease, you began modifying your shuriken and the suitcase.
While waiting for some parts to dry, you stuck yourself upside-down to a tree using chakra and activated your Sharingan. With its powerful dynamic vision, you scanned the underbrush for any small animals.
[10:00 AM]
As part of your chakra control training and basic Sharingan usage, you managed to track down over twenty mice. One by one, you used your Sharingan to dominate their minds.
You tried controlling all of them at once, but the strain on your eyes was overwhelming. Your vision blurred, and your chakra drained rapidly.
Eventually, you figured out that six was your current limit—the maximum number of mice you could control fluidly with both eyes at full power.
So much for the grand vision of a tidal wave of rodents swarming your enemies.
[11:00 AM]
Then an idea struck you: what if you enhanced them?
You had the mice vomit up all food and saliva, then crumpled or rolled up explosive tags and stuffed them into the creatures' mouths. Finally, you installed tiny ignition triggers inside their jaws—devices that would activate as soon as their mouths opened.
Just like that, your six mice were now stealthy, self-propelled bombs.
Not even the proud Uchiha clan, for all its genius, would dream up a tactic like this. But you knew better than to rely on pride alone. Pride wouldn't keep you alive.
[12:00 PM]
You returned to the market district for lunch, then made the rounds at various supply shops under the pretense of running errands for your "family."
Piece by piece, you gathered all the necessary components for your mouse-bomb project.
Just as you were about to head back to the training grounds, carrying a small cloth bag, you were cornered by Uchiha Kazuki.
He demanded you hand over your bag as a "protection fee."
Instead, you broke his nose with a single punch and walked away, leaving behind only a smug silhouette.
[1:00 PM]
You finished the final modifications to your explosive mice, packed everything into your backpack, and jogged toward the river.
[2:00 PM]
You arrived early to prepare. One by one, you sent the six mice across to the far bank and had them dig shallow holes, burying themselves under the soil.
[3:00 PM]
Three Root operatives arrived right on time.
You pretended to dig for worms under a tree. One of them cast a sensory jutsu—its wave washed over you without detecting any chakra.
The trio began unearthing the opposite riverbank, unaware. You sat back, pulled a straw hat over your face, and started to "fish."
[4:00 PM]
Under your control, one of the mice silently crawled behind the three Root ninja, heading straight for the one codenamed "Yama."
But the man was sharp—a veteran. He sensed something was off and hurled a shuriken, instantly killing the mouse.
Your heart clenched, but you stayed calm. The mouse didn't have chakra in its body—it wasn't a summon, just a vessel. The ninja didn't suspect it had been carrying a trigger.
And then you noticed—despite the slit throat, the mouse was still barely breathing.
You acted without hesitation.
Drawing chakra, you spat a massive Fireball Jutsu across the river at your unsuspecting enemies.
The Root operatives reacted swiftly. One countered with a barrage of shuriken and kunai.
The others launched a coordinated combo: one used Lightning Release, another Earth Release, and the third Water Release. Their combined technique formed a hybrid-style mudslide laced with electricity, rushing toward you with terrifying speed.
But they had no idea you'd already memorized their hand signs with your Sharingan.
Your eyes spun—and in the next instant, a fiery explosion erupted behind them.
The mortally wounded mouse had triggered its tag just in time.
Caught off guard, the trio used Body Flicker Technique to evade, and the mudslide attack collapsed.
You used the moment to switch places with a thrown shuriken via Substitution Jutsu, narrowly avoiding death.
Your eyes caught a critical detail: Yama's back was torn open and bleeding, his cloak shredded from the blast.
No holding back now.
Using the smoke as cover, you directed the remaining five mice to strike.
At the same time, you tied your last few explosive tags to kunai and hurled them alongside several shuriken, flanking the enemy from both sides.
The barrage of detonations buried the Root agents in smoke. Confidence surged through you.
You tossed your suitcase high into the air and launched another Fireball Jutsu, detonating the suitcase mid-flight.
The shockwave knocked you down. But the enemy was closer—they took the full brunt of the blast.
You had the upper hand—temporarily. But you knew they wouldn't stay down for long.
Still relentless, you pulled a small bottle from your pouch—filled with oil harvested from discarded lighters.
You lobbed it forward, then threw a handful of shuriken to break it mid-air.
As soon as the oil scattered, you launched yet another Fireball, turning the smoke-filled battlefield into a blazing inferno.
Amid the flames, you could make out panicked figures and hear agonized screams.
Even the strongest shinobi aren't immortal. In battle, information is everything. Even a Kage can be killed by a baby—if caught off guard.
After three waves of attacks, your body gave out. You collapsed against a tree, limbs trembling, completely drained.
Then—two charred silhouettes burst out of the flames, bloodied and burned but still alive.
You forced your Sharingan into overdrive, trying to stop them.
One hesitated for half a second.
The other completed his hand seals as he charged toward you—too fast to dodge.
A bolt of lightning shot straight for your chest. You were powerless to move. This was it.
But then—a tall figure stepped in front of you.
Uchiha Dōka.
With just a chakra-infused arm, he dispersed the enemy's Lightning Release.
More Uchiha Police Force members appeared behind you, among them Uchiha Izumi, one of the clan's rare medical-nin.
She shoved a soldier pill into your mouth and used her chakra to begin healing you on the spot.
Once you regained enough strength to speak, you immediately reported the Root's attempted ambush of the Uchiha clan.
The others were shocked, but wasted no time. A few speed-type ninja raced off to alert the clan elders.
Meanwhile, Uchiha Dōka finished off the remaining Root agents.
But then—from all around the outskirts of the Uchiha compound—fires and smoke erupted simultaneously.
The Root's barrier-nin had realized the plan had failed. With no other option, they moved to open conflict against the Uchiha.
