That longsword had a hilt like gold, and its blade was an extremely dazzling bright white.

Even merely swinging it gently produced the sound of a dragon's roar. The unwillingness contained within that roar was far beyond what an ordinary human could bear. However, even this Noble Phantasm with the 'dragon-slaying' attribute was still a bit lacking when confronting the world-eroding dragon, Nidhogg.

But, this was not the full extent of Gilgamesh's power.

"Well then, mongrel, obediently go die!" A trace of anger appeared on Gilgamesh's face as he tightly gripped the dragon-slaying Noble Phantasm in both hands.

In the next instant, specks of golden light, accompanied by the sound of hymns, surrounded him. That was the Noble Phantasm 'Dragon Slaying' belonging to Saint George. It could inflict ten times, even dozens of times more damage to dragon-kind. Compounded with the 'dragon-slaying' attribute on 'Ascalon' (Sword of Power-Severing Blessing), it could be said that merely a light swing could easily kill an ordinary dragon.

Moreover, Nidhogg, summoned as a 'divine beast,' not only had significant flaws in its power but was also far inferior in combat strength. But more severely, its intelligence had ceased to exist after devouring Odin's body. Now, this demon dragon was no different from a beast with no intelligence whatsoever.

Therefore, even though it knew that the golden figure before it possessed the power to kill it, it charged forward without hesitation, towards the platinum-colored blade meant for slaughtering dragons. Its massive, jet-black scales, like numerous shields, and its enormous eyes – if an ordinary fellow saw it, they probably wouldn't even have the courage to fight.

But, unfortunately, standing before it was the world's only, oldest king, the King of Heroes among heroes, Gilgamesh. The King of Heroes, who showed no fear even when facing a God-King, how could he flinch before a somewhat larger reptile like this?

So.

"Go die, mongrel!" The arrogant King shouted thus, then fiercely swung down the Noble Phantasm in his hand.

Echoing the dragon's roar, the sword named 'Ascalon' pierced the charging demon dragon's thick scales, slicing through its several-meter-thick neck. As the great dragon wailed, blood splattered onto Gilgamesh.

"Damn mongrel!" Gilgamesh complained, a furious look appearing on his face as he looked at the crimson dragon blood staining his golden-cast armor.

Even though dragon blood could greatly enhance the physique of those human heroes, it meant little to Gilgamesh. Having already bathed in the waters of the Nameless Spring, he didn't need to be soaked in dragon blood to obtain a strong physique. So, this stinking dragon blood splashing on him was truly just an extremely unpleasant experience.

However, the great dragon, its neck pierced, did not intend to give up and return to mythology just yet. It raised its massive and ferocious dragon head, then bit fiercely towards Gilgamesh. The immensely huge dragon head, as if intending to swallow Gilgamesh whole, rushed towards the King accompanied by gusts of hurricane-force winds.

"Even like this, you still intend to perish together with this King, mongrel?" But this did not cause Gilgamesh even a sliver of fear.

A golden ripple suddenly bloomed behind him. It was the Noble Phantasm named 'Gate of Babylon.' A crimson sword hilt emerged from it. With a trace of contempt, Gilgamesh drew out the greatsword.

"The evil dragon shall eventually fall!" That arrogant voice, proclaiming something to this world – it was Gilgamesh's voice.

"Light and shadow that sever all!" He chanted thus, not even deigning to look directly at the dragon head that was already incredibly close.

"The world has now reached its twilight!" As this chant continued, the long-hilted greatsword gradually emitted an unusual red glow, a red glow thick with the stench of blood. Then, that red glow bloomed like a rose.

"I shall strike you down — Balmung!"

The greatsword named 'Gram,' under Gilgamesh's control, temporarily manifested the form it took when wielded by 'Siegfried.' Its entire blade turned silver, specks of light circling upon it – the wails of countless demon dragons.

Then, True Name Release!

The silver-white sword body directly and effortlessly split the fiercely diving dragon head in two. The originally incomparably mighty and ferocious great dragon was thus minced by this greatsword. Then, dragon blood rained down from the sky.

And in the next moment after this demon dragon died, Gilgamesh also felt the call of divine power. In the next instant, beneath him, it was no longer the original ocean.

And before him appeared a petite young girl with slightly pinkish, pale purple hair. Even though the girl looked very young, like Vera in Hakoniwa, she possessed the ability to seduce others, a beauty that made people commit errors unknowingly. It could be said that the more it was like this, the more captivating it was.

"Well now, your battle was quite splendid!" This woman named Pandora looked at Gilgamesh thus, but she couldn't quite hide the trace of apprehension in her eyes.

Undoubtedly, Gilgamesh, possessing the 'Chains of Heaven,' was definitely the natural enemy of gods like them. No matter how powerful a god was, when facing Gilgamesh, only falling was an option.

"Although you could be said to have used a trick, it was still satisfactory," the pink-haired young girl said, a hint of envy in her tone. For someone like her, what she envied most was an existence like Gilgamesh with the 'Chains of Heaven.'

"Is this the reason you forcibly dragged this King here from the battlefield?" But that King was not so easy to get along with. Gilgamesh tilted his head slightly, his narrowed crimson serpentine pupils carrying a hint of killing intent.

For a King like him, arbitrarily changing his location was in itself an offense punishable by death. And this girl's body inherently carried an aura he detested, the aura called divinity. However, knowing what Pandora was about to do, he didn't intend to kill Pandora just like that. After all, this girl did indeed suit his taste; killing her like this would truly be a bit of a waste.

"Please calm your anger, King of Uruk. Well then, I have one more question." Pandora saw the killing intent in Gilgamesh's eyes but showed no trace of annoyance. Her face still wore her trademark, incomparably innocent smile. Or perhaps, for her, Gilgamesh's reaction was mostly expected.

"Well then, are you truly an inhabitant of this world?" she asked, somewhat cautiously, yet without a trace of doubt in her eyes. She had long known Gilgamesh was different. But, in this world where the Counter Force lacked its own consciousness, it wasn't a big deal. No, on the contrary, an existence like Gilgamesh was even more likely to fulfill her wish!

"Forget it, that doesn't really matter." However, just after she asked this question, upon seeing Gilgamesh's slightly furrowed brow, she immediately chose to change the subject.

Then, with a slightly seductive look, she gently placed her fair, slender finger on Gilgamesh.

"Well then, please allow me to bestow upon you an Authority."
