If not for Stacy red face, Mark would have thought she was faking being drunk,he looks at her up and down before sighing "my place then" he starts the car while Stacy looks at him she mutters "thank you" he hums a word in acknowledgement before driving
The silence in the car wasn't that bad,Mark was thinking of calling Lisa to explain the situation and tell her to not make the party last for too long,this wasn't the first time Lisa helped him entertain guest at a party,even if they broke up they are still close friends
Meanwhile Stacy mind was not functioning properly,she was thinking of more than one thing at the same time,the old lady at the bar was her mom sister who Stacy had seen at the restaurant, outside the bathroom door... Stacy had investigated the lady because she carried a resemblance to some pictures Stacy saw in her mom's highschool picture album,her mom never told her about that and she had a feeling that something was off,she was also beating herself mentally for blurting out going to Mark house
She was surprised when he agreed...she was looking outside through the window,she somewhat felt sick in her stomach but didn't say anything
When they finally reached his place, Stacy now felt her heart pounding,she was slightly sober after throwing a lot of tantrum "wait here" Mark said before stepping out of the car which was opened by his staff... Stacy watched as he came to her side of the car and opened the door,he undo's her seatbelt before standing straight,he stretch his hand for her to take,Stacy looks between his face and his hand for a few seconds before taking his hand,her movements was slightly sloppy but not too sloppy
After taking his hand,he lead her into his house,it was more like a Villa in an estate,the workers bow and glance curiously at Stacy, Stacy could feel their questioning gaze but mark didn't seem to care,a old butler walks up to him "welcome Mr Mark, you're home early" "mhm, something came up" the butler nods and then looks at Stacy "this is..." "A guest, prepare a guest room for her and have someone prepare tea for her" the Butler nods "Miss please make yourself comfortable during your stay" Stacy who had been standing there in daze nods her head,her eyes glittery as if determine,mark who was beside her raised his brow slightly,the butler had already left so mark leads Stacy upstairs where there is a mini living room,he leads her to the couch,Stacy sits down and couldn't help letting out a sigh,the couch was soft and comfortable
He sits opposite her in silence,he watched her as she closed her eyes and stayed still jn the couch,later a maid comes up with a cup of herbal relaxing tea,she bows politely before leaving "Stacy" "hm" "your tea"
His voice was calm,Stacy opened her eyes,she looks at the tea on the table "you've sobered up slightly, just drink it and relax" she nods obediently, taking the cup of tea
Deep down she was wondering if it'll be bitter,she sips slightly before gulping down the rest,she puts the cup down when the butler came down from another step that led upstairs"sir,miss,the room is ready" Mark nods,the butler takes his leave and heads downstairs after taking away the cup of tea, mark stands up and stretch his hand to her,Stacy takes his hand and he leads her to a guest room,this upstairs only had doors to different rooms...they stop Infront of room and he opens the door with his free hand "you'll sleep here"
