The party soon started and guests started coming and I was assigned to serve drinks and food.
"Happy Birthday Syli. You are excited for Academy, right?"
"Yeah, it would be fun. You will get new friends, and I know you will become the strongest and climb on the highest towers."
I was mostly hearing about Academy about which I knew almost nothing. I was unaware about it and it was not of my concern either, I was just doing my job as told.
"Uh, kid!" Someone called me, "Orange juice please"
Everyone was looking kind and I moved to him and he took the glass of juice and I started leaving.
No one was looking at me, but it was relieving because I didn't wanted attention either. The party was going smoothly and peace was my first priority.
The party continued and my job was replaced for a while to take a break.
Syli had many friends and he was wandering in the hallways with them.
"Syli, I will be joining the Academy soon. Make lots of friends and introduce me."

The Academy addmission is only for 2 years and the age should only be 8 or 9, at age of 10 the kid can't join the Academy. And then, after passing or being of 10, the students start climbing Towers. But it is not important that to climb the tower, they must graduate by Academy, it's not a requirement but more advisable and suggested and climbing the Tower doesn't needs any age requirement except below 10 are not allowed.
'No need to tell anymore. It's not for me anyways.'
And Java stopped explaining.
Alyn suddenly arrived with a surprise and uttered, "Oh my, my. Yung? What are you doing here? Lady and Lord have said everyone to be present in the announcement, hurry up. Come with me."
Her words looked strange for a second for me but I didn't mind it and stood and started following her and started walking with her back to the ceremony hall.
I stood in the row of maids standing and started hearing the words of Synin.
"It is a great achievement of my family and of everyone present here because, Syli is now of 8!"
Everyone started clapping but I didn't, it wasn't something I should clap for. Although it was funny that everyone was clapping for no specific and good reason.
"As he is of 8... He will join Academy the next week!"
Everyone started clapping... But I could see that everyone was showing a fake mask on their faces.
Suddenly my vision started changing and I started seeing black aura everywhere and everyone was wearing a mask for real. My head started paining but I looked like I was freezed and paralysed.
"... Is... Is this..." I spoke but nobody reacted, like no one heard it.
I was feeling sick badly and my head started paining and suddenly my face became serious and I muttered, "... Did they ever paid me for my job? Did they gave money to me?"
And suddenly I came back in consciousness and everything became normal and I was shocked that what just happened.
"Are you alright, Yung?" A maid asked by putting her hand on my shoulder.
I didn't understood what it was--

'Huh?' I was completely confused.

I smiled creepily on Java and thought, 'What's interesting in the announcement?'
"Are you alright, Yung?" The maid asked me with worrying again and I remembered about her and stated, "I am fine, sorry for ignoring your words."
The maid smiled and said, "It's relief."
"And for dropping Syli, Alyn and Yung are going to go with him!!! They will be guard of him!!!"
I was surprised, what's the matter with this? But I had no problem and looked down with accepting the order.
I looked at everyone again and my eyes widened with shock because all the faces were again with masks and everyone was staring at me with the mask of laughter.
"Such a poor girl."
"She will be the next hunt?"
"All the weaklings should die anyway."
I couldn't understand anything what they meant by it but when I looked at the maids and servants, they were having weeping masks!

When I looked ahead... Only Alyn was having a smile mask which I couldn't understand.
And suddenly my eyes opened... and I was still looking down and showed my face and this time, everything became and looked normal.
