Serpentine was of the belief that she had long mastered the Art of Patience.
That had always been her mantra and guiding light when she navigated her relationship with Giovanny. Staying still when others required her to take a step. Saying nothing when others required her to say something. Acting dumb even when she had all the knowledge in the world.
But she knew that in her act of silence, she had made her greatest gamble yet when she sent off her daughter to act as envoy of Thalor.
That act alone had finally broken the silence that she had crafted easily and surrounded herself with like a bubble. And in just that one move, those with more than basic sense realized perhaps, her motives after she returned eight years were not as simple as she appeared.
