Chapter 25 - Chapter 25 – Third Heroine Kiss

"Wait… is that even possible?" Yui asked, her voice trembling slightly with disbelief.

Haruno answered with an unexpected calm. "Well, maybe not in Japan. But after learning that aliens are real and walking among us, it kind of puts things in perspective. The universe is vast—and relationships out there probably aren't as rigid. A polyamorous relationship doesn't seem that impossible anymore."

Yui's gaze shifted to Lala, her confusion turning into concern. "Still… Lala, are you really okay with this? I mean, your fiancé having another lover…"

"I'm fine with it," Lala said without hesitation. "It's not weird to me. Sure, I get a little jealous sometimes, and I do feel lonely when he's not around, but right now… this relationship makes me happy. Ryouko-sensei is kind, and more than anything, I'm glad I get to be with Haruno."

To emphasize her feelings, Lala leaned in and planted a soft kiss on Haruno's cheek. And she just have a relationship for a day.

Haruno gently turned to her, holding her hand tightly. "Lala… I'll do everything I can to make sure you're never lonely. I'll make you happy, I promise."

Their eyes locked, and for a moment, the world around them blurred into silence, filled only with the soft glow of mutual affection.

"Ugh…" Yui groaned, feeling her chest tighten as she watched the intimate scene. Yeah, seeing that get her another emotional damage. "Sensei… you're an adult! Don't you think this is all a little ridiculous?"

"Hm? Hold on a sec…" Ryouko muttered, still focused on massaging Haruno's thigh. "This part's stiff, I need to focus."

Yui buried her face in her hands. "Seriously… this is too much…"

"Well, Yui... from the start, I knew my position was already on the losing side," Ryouko said softly, her fingers momentarily pausing in their massage. "But I chose to follow my heart. Rather than not being with Haruno-kun at all, I'd rather accept being one of the people who love him."

Her words struck something deep inside Yui's heart, a painful honesty she wasn't prepared for.

"But still…" Yui tried to object, her voice barely above a whisper.

"That's how I feel too," Lala chimed in gently, her smile full of warmth but tinged with vulnerability. "After everything today, I realized I can't let go of him either. So, if this is the way to be by his side… then it's okay for me."

Their acceptance echoed inside Yui like a bell, clear and heavy.

'Is this really okay…? So, if they're fine with it, can I be… with him too? What am I even thinking… That's so shameless…' Yui bit her lip, her heart spiraling in confusion. A heavy sadness pressed on her chest. She didn't want to lose Haruno—but how could she accept sharing him too?

Haruno caught the shift in her expression immediately. Without another word, he gently moved Lala's hand aside and motioned Ryouko to pause. Though his body still ached with lingering pain, the concern in Yui's eyes gave him strength.

He stood up, muscles protesting, and stepped toward her.

"Yui…" Haruno said softly, his voice steady, filled with honesty and warmth. "I know this kind of relationship must feel strange for you. It's not something you'd expect—especially not here in Japan. But I just want you to understand… I'm not trying to be selfish. I really do love both of them equally."

Yui narrowed her eyes, arms crossing. "That's absurd…"

"It probably is," he admitted with a chuckle, "but it's also the truth. The first time I saw them, something in me clicked. In my mind, my heart, even my body—I felt it. They weren't just people I liked. It was like... I'd found pieces of my soul in them."

Yui's heart trembled at those words. It was the same inexplicable pull she felt when she first saw Haruno—the kind of emotion she didn't want to admit, but couldn't deny either.

"That's why," Haruno continued with a soft smile, "when you told me to give a reward for me earlier, I was so happy. Because that same feeling… I felt it again. With you."

"Eh…?" Yui's eyes widened slightly.

"I know I already have others… but I swear, I'll do everything I can to make you happy. Just like I would for Lala or Ryouko. If you're ever in danger, or even a little sad, I'll be there—doing my best to protect you, to cheer you up. So… can I ask you to go out with me? With marriage in mind?"

Yui felt like the air had left her lungs. Her heart thudded loud enough to drown out her doubts.

"…You're the worst," she muttered, cheeks turning bright red. But a small, reluctant smile tugged at her lips. "Seriously… But maybe someone needs to keep you three in check before things spiral out of control."

Her voice dropped into a whisper, barely audible.

"…So, I guess I'm okay with it."

"Really, I'm grateful… So, can I claim my reward now?" Haruno said softly, taking Yui's hand and gently pulling her closer. Her face drew near, her breath hitching as he reached up and cupped her chin.

"Can I kiss you?" he asked, his voice low and tender. His cheeks were tinged with red, and his eyes, though slightly nervous, were filled with sincerity.

Yui hesitated for only a moment. After seeing Lala kiss him so openly—and feeling the storm of emotions inside her—she found herself wanting the same connection. Without speaking, she gave a shy, silent nod.

Haruno smiled gently. With one hand, he lifted her face, then leaned in and pressed his lips against hers.

It was simple. Soft. Yet something deep inside her stirred.

Her eyes fluttered shut as her whole body seemed to melt into the kiss. Her heart pounded, and a strange warmth spread from her lips to her chest, making her breath catch. She couldn't move, nor did she want to—entranced by the sweetness of that fleeting moment.

When their lips finally parted, she instinctively leaned forward, as if not wanting it to end.

"Thanks for the reward," Haruno said with a light laugh. "Without it, I might've failed the test today."

Yui smiled, cheeks flushed, but teased him anyway. "Geez… You seemed a lot more motivated when Ryouko-sensei mentioned her reward."

"Ah, well, that's—" Haruno started, only to be interrupted.

"Speaking of which…" Ryouko's voice chimed in playfully from the hallway, towel draped over her shoulder. "It's about time I gave mine. After all, I did promise a special bath together, didn't I?"

"You can't! That's so shameless!" Yui shouted, her face turning beet red.

"Eh? But we're lovers, right?" Ryouko replied innocently, tilting her head.

"Ugh… that might be true, but it's still too early to be doing stuff like that! You need to be an adult first…"

"Hm… well, what if I keep my swimsuit on?" Haruno offered, as if it were the most reasonable compromise in the world.

After some tense back-and-forth, Haruno stepped in with a middle ground—one that Yui, after some grumbling, reluctantly accepted. In the end, Ryouko's "reward" was postponed, though from the way things were going, it seemed like tomorrow's bath might involve all four of them.

Haruno wasn't too worried. Tomorrow was another day—and full of promise.

Though he couldn't help but wonder… could his bathroom even handle that much chaos?
