The buzzing of fluorescent lights above adds a dry hum to the tension in the room.
Lu Ting Cheng and Lu Zi Zhen sat side by side on a hard bench, not knowing if they should cry or laugh it off, their wrists still handcuffed but now in front of them.
Lu Ting Cheng slouched lazily, gazing at his brother, one ankle crossed over the other, looking like he was in his comfortable chair. He stares at the ceiling, sighs deeply, then turns to his brother. The place was a bit too boring.
"You know, for a moment there, I thought you were gonna flirt with the officer instead of arguing, you know, you could have gotten away with that beautiful face of yours!" Lu Ting Cheng slightly smirked, eying his brother mischievously. Who didn't know this guy had the perfect and seamless, beautiful face? Who didn't know his face attracted flies wherever he went?
Lu Zi Zhen tuned around and gazed at him. he mockingly gasped, winking at him, "Flirt? Please, excuse me... I have quite high standards, you should know that by now. Those uniforms looked like they hadn't been ironed since 2005."
Lu Ting Cheng snorted while he sneakily chuckled! "Still, that wouldn't have stopped you if they were cute enough. I know your kink for the uniforms, don't act like you don't know yourself."
Sarcastically grinning, Lu Ting Cheng responded, fairly annoyed, "Ain't bad to know, but that doesn't mean it's my thing. For handcuffs, I prefer my handcuffs to come with scented candles and mood lighting, not state-issued. And those uniforms should at least have a hem in the middle of the thigh... You know.... Something a bit appetizing."
Lu Ting Cheng chuckled, shaking his head. His brother was something else, he knew, but hadn't committed himself to exploring them physically.
"Once I hit 18, I'm driving us to breakfast, remind me not to take the expressway with you in the passenger seat yelling 'floor it!' every five minutes. You know, it would be fun, after all, this won't be the last time we visit this place." Lu Ting Cheng loudly giggled, as he turned 18, Lu Zi Zhen would be turning 17, he still had a year before he could be of legal age.
Lu Zi Zhen glared at him! Did he look like a princess with all those manly muscles? This was an insult! "I wasn't racing but motivating you! I don't know what got into you!"
Lu Ting Cheng giggled while eying him, "And now we're in jail for it."
"Geez! We haven't gotten to jail yet! For your own correction, it's being detained. Rich kids don't go to jail. We get stern lectures and cold tea. You should know that by now!" Lu Zi Zhen didn't even have his mobile phone. He could have already called his lawyer, but damn this police officer.
Just then, a gruff officer passed by their holding room, giving them a long, judgmental glare even though he knew they were going nowhere. It was a matter of paying money, and they were out. It wasn't a serious crime, and he was certain, even if it was a serious crime, it could still be solved in a matter of hours.
The police officer eyed them, "Keep talking, boys. You will be here till your parents show up, and believe me, they don't look like the 'warm hug and forgiveness' type."
Lu Zi Zhen turned around and bowed his head closer to Ting Cheng, murmuring, "We're so dead."
Lu Ting Cheng softly giggled, "Speak for yourself. I'm going to claim temporary insanity until further notice. I was influenced by an adrenaline junkie with a pretty face. Or probably, my car had a problem with brakes, you know!"
