Chapter 165 - Chapter 165 Radiation Source

Chapter 165 Radiation Source

Franklin and Valeria were squatting in front of Vulcan's corpse, fiddling with something, while Yang Le was responsible for keeping watch nearby.

The Twins didn't make Yang Le wait too long, quickly returning to Yang Le's side. Judging by their excited expressions, they must have had a fruitful harvest.

"Looks like you brought back good news," Yang Le said, arms crossed.

"Of course," Valeria proudly puffed out her chest.

"Then, now can you tell me about your plan?" Yang Le ignored Valeria, looking at Franklin beside her, after all, he was the one who initiated the plan.

"Vulcan wasn't infected on Earth. I speculate that he might have directly contacted Galactus, so I wanted to look for clues on him, and I indeed found them."

Franklin swallowed and showed the instrument to Yang Le.

"Indeed, I found clues on his corpse. His corpse is emitting a kind of radiation that doesn't exist on Earth."

Valeria continued.

"We can use these radiation samples to search for radiation signals on Earth, and then track it. Such a large radiation source must be as conspicuous as a lighthouse in the night."

Yang Le glanced at the instrument in Franklin's hand and said,

"Hope your idea is right."

Yang Le looked at the skyline and noticed it was already slightly bright. It was estimated that dawn would break soon.

"Let's go, it's time for us to hit the road."

Yang Le waved his hand and took the lead towards Nana. Seeing this, the Fantastic Twins packed up and quickly followed.

Seeing her master return, Sentry Robot Nana half-squatted down, placing all three of them on her back. Once they were secure, she flew into the sky.

Franklin was busy synchronizing the search device with Nana, while Valeria fiddled with her pile of equipment.

Yang Le stood on Nana's shoulder, looking down at a woods. With his Superman vision, he easily spotted the Watcher hidden there.

Even though his skin color was difficult to detect in the dim woods.

"Whew~" The Watcher whistled. Seeing Yang Le's gaze, he knew he was exposed. He didn't hide, meeting Yang Le's gaze directly.

But it was only for a moment, as Nana was flying quite fast and quickly left the area.

"How interesting." The Watcher grinned, revealing his large white teeth. He had only heard a considerable commotion and wanted to investigate, but he didn't expect to see something so interesting.

He vaguely remembered the two children, they seemed to be Mr. Fantastic's children. As for the strangely shaped, burly man, he didn't recognize him at all.

It seemed they weren't zombies, otherwise they would have pounced on him upon seeing him again. He just didn't know what their purpose was.

The Watcher flourished his sword, slowly sheathing it into the scabbard on his back.

"Hopefully, that corpse can give me answers."

The Watcher murmured, looking at Vulcan's corpse in the distance.

"Not going to sit for a while?"

Valeria's sound came. Yang Le turned around, Miss Polymath was looking at him with boredom, a stark contrast to the busy Franklin beside her.

"Why aren't you fiddling with your pile of things?"

Yang Le walked a few steps to Valeria's side. He was currently on the flying Nana, without the protection measures the Twins had, completely disregarding the laws of physics.

"I already checked everything," Valeria said, propping up her chin.

"Why haven't I seen you get yourself a Craftsman weapon?" Yang Le asked.

"Do you think that thing is so easy to get?" Valeria rolled her eyes at Yang Le.

"Those materials must be obtained from superhuman zombies. Killing them and then getting intact materials is extremely difficult. Only Craftsman has two of those weapons."

"Didn't I provide you with a pile of materials?" Yang Le asked, puzzled.

"Those haven't been made into weapons yet," Valeria said, twirling her hair boredly.

"That pile of things is all in Craftsman's laboratory, and there's no chance to take them out. If we encounter enemies, we can only rely on you and my broken gun."

Valeria picked up the rifle hanging on her backpack. It was different from the rifles on the market, obviously assembled by herself.

"There's no way, the ingredients are too few and too poor. This thing can only deal with ordinary zombies. Against stronger ones, it can't even break their defense."

Valeria sighed, clearly frustrated that her talent couldn't be utilized.

Yang Le thought Valeria made sense. Although X Diamond could handle most enemies, it would undoubtedly be safer for them to have weapons in their own hands as well.

After figuring it out, Yang Le said to Valeria,

"Open my backpack and take a look."

"What? Is there some treasure inside?"

Valeria turned around. Yang Le's backpack was initially tied next to Valeria, within easy reach.

Valeria unzipped the zipper. The first thing she saw wasn't clothing or supplies, but two guns.

The style of these two guns was strange. Judging by the shape, they should be handguns, but they were too large, at least for a human.

Valeria drew out one of the guns. The shape of the gun was simple, but it felt awkward in her hand. Valeria could barely pull the trigger with one palm.

"This is a gun?" Valeria asked.

"Otherwise? What else could it be?" Yang Le looked at Valeria, puzzled.

"Nothing, it's just a bit, uh..." Valeria thought for a moment and said,

"It's just a bit special, for me?"

"Of course, I'm giving them to you," Yang Le nodded.

"Just right, one for you and one for Franklin."

These two guns were exactly the weapons Yang Le made for Four Arms. Originally, there should have been four, but the backpack could only fit two. He used the remaining space to store life energy supplement.

As for why he carried two guns, it was just for contingencies, but he didn't expect them to actually come in handy.

"Thank you," Valeria said without looking up, carefully examining the gun in her hand.

"Can I modify it? After all, this thing isn't very comfortable in my hand."

"No problem, I said I'm giving it to you," Yang Le nodded, agreeing to Valeria's request.

"Thank you," Valeria took out some equipment from her backpack and actually started modifying it right there on the open-air aircraft.

Watching Valeria, focused on modifying the guns with her head down, just when Yang Le thought he had no one to talk to, Franklin filled the silence left by his sister.

"Whew~ Finally done." Even though it had long been blown away by the wind, Franklin habitually wiped his sweat.

"How is it? Is everything going smoothly?" Yang Le inquired.

"Of course, the instrument has already discovered a radiation source," Franklin said with a smile. In his opinion, the closer to the radiation source, the closer to the source of the incident.

But Yang Le felt he was a bit blindly optimistic.
