Chapter 164 - # Chapter 164: New Goal

# Chapter 164: New Goal

To prevent the Twins from doing something classically idiotic during their mission, Yang Le had to guide them to think through the important points in their minds.

Directly telling them the answer, they wouldn't remember it to heart. Only by figuring it out themselves would it truly be their own. This was something Yang Le's math Teacher had said, and he had always felt it was very true.

As for why he didn't deal with these matters himself, it was because Yang Le felt that Franklin must be hiding a big Secret.

No kidding, Franklin suddenly losing his Superpower, it definitely seems related to this Big Event. Bringing him along might have unforeseen uses.

Only Valeria, the Twins are usually inseparable, bringing her along was just in case.

Moreover, Yang Le also had the Idea of recruiting them. Bringing them along was also a good way to observe them and see if they were suitable.

After all, with Uncle Peter and the others watching them all the time, it was difficult for the two of them, especially Franklin, to develop.

"Alright." Yang Le felt sleepiness washed over him and yawned.

"Although I'm exhausted, I think it's better if we leave tonight."

"Aren't we going to tell Uncle Peter and the others?" Franklin asked.

"Don't be ridiculous, little Franklin." Valeria rolled her eyes at her brother.

"Didn't you see how they were acting? They definitely won't help us, and they'll probably try to stop us. Leaving quietly is better for everyone."

After listening to Valeria, Franklin fell into Silence. His Inner Heart was still hesitant, especially when he recalled Peter's gaze, which was full of mistrust.

"Okay." Franklin nodded, agreeing to Yang Le and Valeria's Plan.

"Then where are we going?"

"I don't know about that." Yang Le shrugged his shoulders.

"After all, I've only been in this World for a short time, it's impossible for me to know more than you. Do you have any suggestions?"

This question stumped them, after all, they didn't know their definite Goal either.

"No way?" Yang Le looked at the two of them incredulously.

"We're not going to drag on here for ages and end up with no result, right?"

"No." Valeria denied, then she said slowly.

"I do have an Idea."

"What?" Yang Le asked.

"The beginning of all of this." Valeria said through gritted teeth.

"The Devourer's corpse."

Yang Le immediately understood. Peter had told him that the beginning of this Crisis was the Devourer's Corpse drifting in the Universe. If they wanted to find any Clues, then going to the source of everything was the most appropriate course of action.

"Where is it?"

"I don't know. The Devourer's corpse hasn't appeared for years."

Yang Le couldn't help but feel a wave of frustration. Knowing nothing about anything was infuriating.

"Then when and where was the last time it appeared?" Yang Le scratched his head, realizing he had no choice but to start investigating from scratch.

"The last time was in New York City, when the Zombie Crisis broke out. As for when it disappeared, nobody noticed. Everyone was too busy trying to survive. By the time anyone could pay attention, it was already gone."

"Something that big definitely can't be hidden. Besides, a large portion of the World's Superhuman population has been infected. They have no need to hide. They must have some Purpose."

Yang Le thought for a while longer and finally decided to give up. There was too little information. Even transforming into a high-intelligence Alien Hero wouldn't be much help. It was better to wait until they got to New York and figure things out then.

"Then it seems we have no choice but to go to New York first. Once we get there, we'll find a way."

"I have an Idea." Franklin suddenly said, drawing the attention of the other two.

"Although I don't know if it will work, I still want to try. I need Zombie Corpses."

"Aren't there some at the Tinkerer's place?" Yang Le asked in Puzzlement.

Franklin shook his head and said, "The Tinkerer has put them all in the Laboratory. Sneaking around there now will definitely get us discovered."

Valeria looked at Yang Le and asked, "Are there any Corpses left of Vulcan and the others?"

After all, that battle caused a huge commotion. It was understandable that Valeria suspected if anything would even remain.

"There should still be some, right?" Yang Le stroked his chin, trying to recall.

Gladiator was swallowed by the Black Hole, Hyperion was smashed to pieces, it's hard to say if we can find them. As for Vulcan...

Oh! This Guy seems to have his lower half left.

"Yes, there is." Yang Le nodded.

"Vulcan's lower half is about ten kilometers away."

"That's great!" Franklin happily waved his hand.

"I was worried you'd pulverized those guys. To have such a big chunk left truly exceeded my expectations."

"Then what are we waiting for?" Valeria urged the two of them.

"Let's set off now."

And so, Yang Le packed his Backpack, and together with the Twins, who were already prepared, they boarded the Sentry Robot Nana, who had been waiting for them, and flew towards the Battlefield over ten kilometers away.

The Sentry Robot's Speed was quite fast, but the evening wind gave Yang Le a Chill. To avoid catching a cold, he transformed into an Alien Hero again.

This time he chose to transform directly into **XLR8**, just to prevent another ambush like before. After all, he'd already suffered once, and the other Alien Heroes seemed a bit lacking in the face of this Crisis.

As the saying goes, one-on-one is easy enough, but when the opponents gang up on you and don't play fair, Yang Le has no choice but to cheat.

After all, they started it, so this is just retaliation.

Yang Le crossed his arms, amused himself with his thoughts. The Twins sat beside him, gazing at **XLR8's** starry Body. They had to admit it was truly beautiful, like a real Universe.

They traveled in Silence and quickly reached their Destination. The Ground, crisscrossed with ravines and with its surface almost turned upside down, didn't surprise the Twins much.

They weren't Ordinary People. Despite their age, as descendants of the Fantastic Four, they may not have seen many big events, but they'd certainly heard about them.

Not to mention, Franklin himself often played with Universes, and Valeria had witnessed it. The scene before them was just a minor event to them.

"Master, Target acquired."

Nana's Sound came through. She emitted two bright beams from her eyes, which converged to illuminate a spot, making it particularly noticeable in the night.

Franklin looked over. In the spotlight, a lower half was peacefully lying on the Ground, indescribably eerie.

However, none of the people present were afraid; in fact, they were excited.

Franklin quickly directed Nana to land. Once landed, Franklin rushed towards the Corpse, his short legs pumping furiously, even Valeria couldn't keep up.

He saw Franklin run to the Corpse and sit down, taking out a palm-sized device from his Backpack that looked like a Mobile phone.

It seemed this was the Method Franklin had mentioned.
