Chapter 140 - Chapter 140: Dissent

Chapter 140: Dissent

Just as everyone was marveling at the prosperity of Wakanda, the Aircraft had already arrived at the Hangar Deck.

Looking through the Window, one could see that many people had gathered in front of the Hangar Deck, showing Wakanda's emphasis on this occasion.

The Aircraft slowly descended. As the hatch opened, the group exited the Aircraft one after another.

On both sides of the road were royal guards dressed in the same attire as Okoye, holding spears and staring seriously ahead.

At the end of the road were King T'Chaka, Queen Ramonda, and Princess Shuri, all dressed in luxurious attire.

"Welcome everyone to Wakanda," King T'Chaka said, opening his arms and smiling to welcome them.

"Thank you for your invitation, King T'Chaka," Fury said respectfully with a bow. After all, they had a request to make, and proper etiquette was necessary.

The others also greeted T'Chaka one after another.

"I hope you enjoy our Nation," Queen Ramonda said with a smile.

"Of course," Vision suddenly interjected. He had taken in everything about Wakanda along the way and could not be more satisfied with what he had seen.

"This place is simply the most beautiful Nation on Earth. You have maintained a Balance between Technology and nature, and it's hard to find any conflict."

"I am glad you say so," Prince T'Challa said with a smile, his Pride undisguised in his eyes. This was the result of the collective effort of all the people of Wakanda since its birth.

"Even if you say it nicely, it's no use. After all, the person who wants to dismantle you isn't here," Shuri suddenly said.

"Shuri!" Queen Ramonda reprimanded sternly.

"Sorry," Shuri immediately lowered her head and apologized.

"Please excuse my daughter's impudence," King T'Chaka said, affectionately ruffling his daughter's Head.

"But as Shuri said, Mr. Vision, we actually don't intend to reclaim your Body. However, Wakanda is not a place where one person's word is law. We must also listen to the opinions of other tribes."

King T'Chaka's Face was filled with helplessness. From his weathered face, one could tell that he must have been a majestic and valiant King in his youth. But in his old age, he inevitably sheathed his fangs and was constrained.

"I can understand. Entrusting a Nation's important artifact to a stranger is obviously unreasonable," Vision said, expressing his understanding.

"Father," Prince T'Challa stepped forward and came to King T'Chaka's side.

"These two are agents of the Plumbers, Swampfire and Goop. Among them, Goop is also one of the parties involved in this Business."

King T'Chaka had noticed the two of them long ago. After all, they were strangely shaped and very large, making it hard not to notice them.

"Welcome, you two. I hope Wakanda can bring you a different experience," Prince T'Challa welcomed them.

"I like it here very much," Swampfire said, perfecting his Alien persona.

"The Plants growing here must be very happy."

"That's something we've never thought about," King T'Chaka was taken aback. After all, apart from ecological needs, they had basically never considered the feelings of Plants, since Plants cannot speak.

"I can understand," Swampfire said.

Shuri, compared to Swampfire, was clearly more interested in Goop, who was covered in Circuit Board. However, having just been reprimanded by Queen Ramonda, even she could only suppress her curiosity and endure for a while.

The group exchanged more pleasantries. Finally, led by Prince T'Challa, they were escorted by the royal guards towards the Council Hall.

"I have asked the Leaders of the other tribes to wait for us in the Council Hall," King T'Chaka explained.

"After all, not everyone is well-disposed towards outsiders."

Wakanda, possessing treasures, has always been the target of outsiders' covetousness. Although Wakandan Warriors are powerful, there are still many who are not afraid of Death. Once there is conflict, there will be casualties, and Wakanda is no exception.

Casualties lead to hatred, and even King T'Chaka finds it difficult to intervene in such matters. Therefore, to avoid a situation where some might not come to welcome them, Prince T'Challa simply had all the Leaders go directly to the Council Hall, leaving only the royal family to greet them.

This can be considered the helplessness of a King.

Soon, the group arrived in front of the Council Hall. The attendant at the Door pushed open the Gate, revealing a spacious Hall. In the center was a uniquely shaped Chair, the King's seat, with several Chairs arranged on either side of it.

Some Chairs were already occupied. Their attire varied, but all carried a strong cultural flavor, adorned with various totems and patterns. Clearly, they were the Leaders of the various tribes.

"My King," the Leaders stood up one after another and bowed to T'Chaka.

"No need for such formalities," King T'Chaka waved his Hand, indicating they didn't need to bow.

King T'Chaka sat on the throne. Prince T'Challa sat beside him, while Queen Ramonda and Princess Shuri sat on the other side. Following them were the Leaders of the various tribes.

Swampfire and Goop, as guests, were seated below the Leaders.

"Everyone!" As soon as King T'Chaka sat down, he regained his imperial majesty.

"Today, our Friends have come to Wakanda, wanting to resolve the mistake we made before, which is Ulysses' theft of Vibranium. Today, they have brought back the stolen Vibranium for us, and we should express our Gratitude to them."

Goop wriggled forward and spat out the Vibranium Ball hidden inside his Body. There was no other way. Unless Bruce Banner transformed into Hulk, he and Swampfire were the only ones here capable of doing it, so he had to carry it.

"Thank you again," King T'Chaka stood up. The other Leaders also stood up one after another, expressing their Gratitude to the group with a unique Gesture.

"And now for the next item," King T'Chaka began. The other Leaders immediately quieted down, and the Avengers knew that they were about to get to the Main Topic.

"It's about Mr. Vision," King T'Chaka said, raising his Hand towards Vision.

"Mr. Vision's Body is composed of Vibranium."

As soon as King T'Chaka said this, the other Leaders couldn't help but change their expressions, even though they hadn't shown any reaction when the Vibranium was recovered earlier.

"But this was not his own Will," King T'Chaka said immediately.

"Mr. Vision's birth was a beautiful Accident, but he is a Life. Therefore, I propose that Mr. Vision's Body does not belong to Wakanda, but to himself. I wonder what you all think?"

"The Merchant Tribe has no objection," the Leader in blue robes said first.

"The River Tribe has no objection," the old man in green said.

"The Mining Tribe has no objection," the old man in red said.

"The Border Tribe has an objection," the sturdy man in blue and white robes said.

This sudden dissenting Sound drew everyone's attention, and they all focused their gaze on the Leader of the Border Tribe.

"W'Kabi?" Prince T'Challa murmured softly. He hadn't expected his good Friend to speak out against his Father.

"W'Kabi," King T'Chaka said, his Face unchanged, merely stating his Name.

W'Kabi rose from his Chair and walked to the front of the throne.

"State your Reason."
