Reading the System's Notification, Ash couldn't be more surprised than he was at the moment.
Sitting on the chair, Ash reread the System's Notification.
"Book of Creation? Creation of what? I have a lot of questions because this book is full of mystery. Where did it came from? Who exactly is its owner? And what power does it have? Tsk! How can I uncover all its secrets when it wont open no matter how much I tried? On top of all that, it has an unknown grade as well. Sigh! It would be ashame if I can't open it in the future."
Ash continued to scan the book's exterior, when he saw the middle portion of it that has a maze-like figure or something that resembles a maze. It was just a very subtle detail that made it almost invisible to the normal eyes.
"What is this? Why does this book has a a weird inscription in the middle. Should I ask Ray about it? Nah, I'll try to figure it out myself later when I'm alone."
Ash thought, putting the book on the table.
"System, do I have something like an inventory inside me like the ones in the video games? Because carrying multiple items by hand would be a really hassle thing to do."
[Of course, just say inventory and you can access it immediately.]
"Inventory."
[Opening Inventory.]
Ash immediately put the book inside the inventory, but he made sure that Ray nor Demittry couldn't see what he has done.
"Now, shall I continue scanning the weapons in this room?"
Ash thought as he stood from the chair and began to walk to the glass containers.
"Don't you think Arthur's weapons has a very distinct characteristics and craftsmanship, System? Not only that it was so beautiful, but the design and details were also out of this world, or I should say, my past world."
The system continued to scan the items as per Ash's order.
"Hmm, these items look so familiar. Although, I haven't actually seen them before but the craftsmanship, I think I've seen it. They look like the ones in the system shop. That's right! The details of these items were the same as the ones in the system shop!"
Ash's eyes widened as if he had figured something.
Without any delay, Ash immediately asked the system who is miraculously so quiet during the entire time.
"System, am I right? These weapons... It came from the system's shop, right?"

"Hey, don't be so quiet all of a sudden and answer my question. Do these weapons came from the system's shop? Is Arthur the previous user of the system?"
[Buzz!]

"Oh come on! I know you were going to tell me earlier. I had a feeling about it!"
[Try again later.]
"Damn it! Damn you!"
Ash didn't have a choice but to curse the system out of frustration.
However, in Ash's mind, a few theories were building up because of the system's reaction. If the system behaves weirdly like that, anyone can come up with a few theories themselves.
"Just you wait... I will get all my answers in no time. I just needed to be patient. But why is the system behaving like an annoying kid, urgh!"
Scratching his head out of frustration, Ash stomped his foot to the floor and was noticed by the other two immediately.
"Ash, are you okay? You seem frustrated avout something. You mind sharing it with us, we promise not to judge."
Demittry said first as he stopped rubbing his fingers to the gears in front of him.
"He's right, Ash. If you ever came across something that bothers you internally, you can talk to us about it in order to lessen that problem. Two heads are better than one, Ash. Try to remember that on you journey always."
Ray added as he stood up from his chair and walked towards the other two.
"Two heads are better than one, huh. Well, I have that! But this other head of mine wasn't helping me most of the time that's why I'm frustrated. Tsk! If only this system wasn't so uncooperative, I wouldn't be like this. Sigh."
Ash thought, completely forgetting that he was asked by his companions.
"Ash? What were you thinking that made you so quiet all of a sudden?
Ray asked, tapping Ash's shoulder.
"Oh. I'm sorry, its just that these weapons and items that Arthur possessed were so magnificent and beautiful that I can't help myself but to feel frustrated because of it."
"I feel you, Ash. And don't be sorry, its normal to feel that way especially when you can't have the items."
Demittry said, consoling the frustrated Ash.
Ray on the other hand felt that Ash wasn't telling the whole truth but still decided to just let him slide again this time.
"Ash. How about I give you another gift after we're done here just to compensate your frustration? I'm sure this gift will make you happy so much that you'll forget all these items."
Hearing these words, Ash face lightened up and his smiles began to show up.
"Really? But, it would be third time today that I will receive a gift from you. And I shouldn't push my luck too far. I might get used to it, and if that happens, it would be your conscience, Ray."
"Don't get used to it, Ash. I know, I'm gallant but this will be the last gift that you will receive from me today. If we ever met again someday, who knows, I might give you another gift. Haha."
Ray jokingly said to Ash.
After having their conversation, they continue to scan the other weapons and this time, Ray accompanied Ash so that whenever he has a question, Ray could answer it immediately.
After a whole day of roaming around the room and scanning all the weapons and gears, they decided to get out of the room and went to the Elven King's study room to get the gift he had promised to Ash.
"It was already dark outside. You really took your time, Demittry. You said I was obsessed"
Ray said curling his forehead and glaring at Demittry.
"I wasn't the only one who took his time, Ray, Ash also did. And why are you glaring at me when it was your idea to show those items to us?"
Demittry rebutted Ray's complain.
"You weren't supposed to go with us, I only intended to show those items to Ash since you've already seen it in the past. And Ash didn't take his time there, we were waiting for you to finish your business or whatever you've been doing there."
Ray raised his voice showing that he was getting mad.
"Yow, relax Ray, okay? I'm sorry for taking so long. It was actually my first time seeing those items up close. Although Arthur and I were together most of the time in the past, he has never shown me those weapons let alone touch it. So, don't be mad and please understand where I'm coming from."
Winking at the Elven King, Demittry tries to joke to lessen Ray's frustration.
"Don't be mad at him too much, Ray. I'm also at fault because I had so many questions throughout the entire time. Please, I apologize for taking too much of your precious time, and I hope this won't ruin our friendships."
Ash bowed his head to apologize to the Elven King.
Hearing this sincere apologies, Demittry immediately grab Ash by his hand and whispered to his ears.
"Ash don't be sorry, we were always like this even in the past. If you're going to apologize like that, I will be in trouble."
"Of course you will!"
Ray interrupted Demittry as he heard his words loud and clear.
"Did you just forget that I, an Elf can hear your words perfectly fine even if you were whispering? Don't you feel ashame that Ash apologized while you were just playing it cool? Come to me in the training grounds tonight after dinner!"
Ray ordered and Demittry was sweating in his forehead thinking about the past.
"Urgh! See? He's always like this when someone apologizes because of me."
Demittry said to Ash with a hint of worry in his face.
However, that worry vanished immediately as he turn to look at Ray and spoke.
"Ray, are you sure about this? It's been ages since the last time we fought, and although I can't argue with that strength you have, I cannot let you beat me again this time either. I know you didn't noticed it yet but I've been through a lot of experience and got a lot stronger than before. And this time, I am sure that you will have a lot of hard time dealing with me. If you decide to let my behavior slide this time, then I will happily accept it."
With a smug on his face, Demittry boasts to the Elven King.
"You really did forget that I am the Elven King. Although you've gain a lot of strength because of your experience, I didn't sit around waiting for you to get stronger, Demittry. I too, became stronger than the last time. So, you better prepare for another beating my old friend. Wait for us in the dining hall, Demittry. And Ash, come with me."
Ray walked ahead and Ash followed after.
"I don't know what the f*ck is going to happen between these two, but I'm getting excited all of a sudden."
