As Ash and Ray walked back to the dining hall where Demittry was waiting for them. Ash couldn't help but observe the beauty of the ring the was in his finger, and Ray noticed it as he take a quick glance on him.
"It suits your finger perfectly. It has a beauty of its own which is also one of it perks. You'll get used to it in no time, Ash. Just don't watch it every now and then, it's giving a weird vibe of a woman getting a ring from her lover. Haha."
Ray jokingly said to Ash.
"You don't have to say that, Ray. Now I'm embarrassed."
Frowning his forehead, Ash dropped his hand as he followed Ray.
"Oh don't be. It's a normal reaction especially if you really like the gift, you will occasionally take a few seconds to watch its beauty. Anyways, what was your plan after you win your duel against Lucius tomorrow? Will you spend the night here, or will you guys resume your travel immediately?"
"I don't know about Demittry but as for me, I really like to move immediately after the duel."
"So soon? Why? Too bad, I wanted to prepare a farewell feast for you guys tomorrow evening but if you're really in a hurry, I guess the party will have to wait for another time. Aha! Why don't we have a feast tonight after I beat Demittry? Sounds great right?"
Ray said enthusiastically.
"Yes, sounds fun. Let's do that."
Ash replied, getting all excited to the upcoming battle of his two friends.
"Alright, lets hurry up as it's getting late for the feast."
Ray was feeling like a child for the first time in a very long time. And due to his excitement he didn't noticed that he was already running leaving Ash behind.
"You didn't have to leave me behind though. Sigh."
Ash eventually run as well following Ray behind. When he got to the dining hall, Ash could see that Ray and Demittry just finished talking.
"How fast did Ray ran that I missed their entire conversation? And on top of that he wasn't even sweating a little bit while I'm drenched in sweat and panting trying to catch my breath. I could see that I need have a long way to go in order to catch up to them."
Ash thought as he was panting while watching his two friends walking towards a different location.
"They're moving again. I better get their immediately."
Ash thought and run towards Ray and Demittry.
Luckily the training grounds wasn't too far from the dining hall and they immediately reach the location.
All the elves heard the news that their King was having a mock battle against a human so they didn't let the opportunity to watch their King fight slide.
When Ash arrived at the training grounds following Ray, and Demittry he could see that the seats at the grandstand were full of elves watching.
"What? How come they know about this battle? Ray was right, do not underestimate the hearing ability of the elves."
Ash thought as he make his way to find a seat.
Walking in front of the elves, Ash began to feel weird. He feels like someone was glaring at his back.
"Well, I guess it natural since I am obstructing their views. Sigh, I should hurry up and find my seat."
Shrugging his shoulders, Ash continue to walk when suddenly he was called by Aurora who happens to be seating next to Vale and Lucius.
"Ash, over here. There's a vacant seat beside me."
Everyone was in shock that the Elven Princess was calling out a human by his first name.
"They seem to have a good relationship."
"Yeah, calling out a human by his first name indicates that they were."
"How dare he tries to be friendly with the Princess."
The crowd went wild because of Aurora's approach.
Ash timidly smile but wasn't bother by their words and walk towards Aurora.
"Thank you for reserving me a seat. I really appreciate it."
Ash smiled towards Aurora and the other elves present beside her.
Lucius had a grumpy face with his arms crossed, clearly indicating that he doesn't want Ash's presence around.
Ash sat on the seat beside Aurora and they began to have a friendly conversation.
"How was your meeting with the King? I heard because of it, Demittry and him argued which is why they were having a battle right now. Is that true?"
Aurora asked.
Ash could see where Aurora is going and he just played along with her.
"No. As far as I know, the battle that was going to happen in front of us were just a friendly battle, trying to test their strengths after a few decades of not seeing each other. In the short amount of time I've been with them, I could see that they really are best of friends."
Ash replied trying to clear the misunderstanding of the elves around the grandstand.
A few moments later, Ray and Demittry came out to the training grounds from different gate, and yells and cheers erupted through the air.
"Wooooh! You got it King Ray. Beat him up for us!"
"Show us how great you are King Ray!"
"King Ray for the win!"
Hearing all these cheers, Ash couldn't help himself but to cheer for both sides.
"Demittry, show him what you've got! King Ray, don't kill him yet as he was still going to be my teacher! Show us a great fight!"
Ash stood up and shouted from the top of his lungs.
Hearing this, Demittry and Ray smiled at him before nodding.
The other elves were jealous because their King smiled at him, clearly giving his approval.
"Demittry, the kid wants to see a real fight. Be sure not to hold back."
Ray spoke to his opponent who's also smiling.
"Don't push yourself too hard, Ray. If you surrender mid-fight, I won't blame you."
With a smug on his face, Demittry taunts Ray.
This taunt that Demittry did clearly pissed the Elven King as he unleashed his tremendous Ki.
"Whoa! Hold up, Ray. I thought it was just a friendly battle. Don't be so serious all of a sudden. I get it, it's my fault. I'm sorry."
Demittry tries to stop Ray from getting angry but clearly failed as Ray continues to unleash his Ki.
"Oh shit! What have I done this time. What do I do?"
Demittry was now worried because Ray wasn't listening to him.
"Let the fight! Begin!"
The mediator of the battle announced and immediately Ray shoots out a really fast barrage of attacks towards Demittry, and then blinked directly behind him swinging his palm aiming at Demittry's back.
Demittry wasn't ready for the attack and he was clearly surprised. However, he manage to maneuver his body, avoiding every attack the the King had release but couldn't avoid the King's palm that landed on his back.
Demittry was thrown to the ground writhing in pain like a worm being splashed by a salt.
Witnessing their King's capabilities, the elven people went wild.
"WOOOH!!! Way to go King Ray!!!"
"Beat him up while his down!!!"
The crowd was going crazy because of the fight.
"Urgh! Why did you slap me too hard!? And it's on my back which I cannot reach! Arghhh!"
Demittry shouted trying to muster the strength to stand from the ground.
Wiping his teary eyes, Demittry unleashed his Ki as well, and the crowd went silent as they felt Demittry's Ki.
"His aura was on par with the King. How... How can a human have that powerful Ki?"
One of the bystanders voiced out his concerns and everyone eventually thought the same.
"You will pay for that, Ray! I was trying to hold back because of your 'thing' but after what you did? I'm reconsidering it."
Demittry charged forward as he throws uncountable weapons from his spatial storage. Every weapon was coated with his Ki. Followed by a great amount of Ki force.
"Ha!"
After throwing the weapons in great speed, Demittry jumped so high that he became invisible in the night sky.
Closing his eyes, Ray began to concentrate his hearing ability.
Swinging his palms from side to side, Ray manage to deflect all the weapons and the Ki force thrown by Demittry, and in the process he detects Demittry's location who was still spinning midair.
With a great force Demittry slams heel towards Ray's head. However, Ray manage to evade the attack and swung his palm once again, aiming towards Demittry's face.
Demittry manage to avoid the attack by bending his knees.
Demittry throws another weapon at Ray and spin kicked him aiming at his jaw.
Ray blocked the attack and with a great force he spin kicked Demittry as well who barely manage to avoid it.
The battle was happening in a very fast pace which made the audience speechless and in awe.
Ash was concentrating to the battle trying to memorized every move that Ray and Demittry shown.
Ray and Demittry broke up for a moment and prepared to unleash their final attack.
"Ray! This will be the my last attack! I don't care if you're not ready but take this!!"
Demittry charged all his energy into his palms and shoots out a really huge Ki blast.
"KAMEHAME-HA!"
Ray on the other hand prepared his final attack as well.
"You really are no push over anymore, my friend. As an appreciation gift, take this as well!"
Ray channeled all his energy to his final attack as well.
"FINAL FLASH!"
Their Ki attacks collided and produced a really huge energy ball.
"Quick! Use your powers to shield everyone! I think their power's gonna blow everyone here!"
The mediator shouted at the top of his lungs and quickly the 12 Royal Guards of the Elven Royal Family appeared in front of the people and casted a magic barrier that shielded everyone in the grandstand.
